Android Devices supporting Spiral Knights! [Pictures Inside]

Hi there!
You may not know me, but what you may know me for is mainly my Wii Remote functionality working in Spiral Knights ( http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/37054 ). While Rudimentary, I wanted to prove to you all that it IS possible to play Spiral Knights with a Wii-Remote/Nunchuck. I'm positive it's playable with a classic controller, I just have to do some minor hacking to get it to work.
Speaking of hacking, I made an incredible breakthrough. Spiral Knights on an Android Device.

The screen offset is my main gripe currently as well as framerate and other minor oddities. Otherwise I think this game runs phenomenally. Login, gameplay, just about everything. I would record video this time around, however due to the framerate of which the game runs at, it's not possible to record a video of sorts. I don't have my camera with me, so it makes it even more difficult to record sadly.
This is more or less proof of the thing actually working.

If it really works then AWESOME! mobile gaming!!! (laptop does count as that though lol)
a question though, how about the controls what are you using?
(though obviously pure touch... what a noob question...)

@Laucion
The fun fact about this image, this isn't photoshopped. I wish it was, I really do. Fortunately it's not, and I can't go "Haha! April Fools."
@Gospel
Except this is on a tablet and not on a mobile device. This tablet of mine has a keyboard docking station attachment which gives me the full functionality of a QWERTY keyboard, including a mousepad. Now of course, I can remove the keyboard docking station, but all I can do THEN is get past the login screen and character selection screen. A virtual keyboard appears every time I'm entering information in a text field.
Now when I attach the docking station, I have full functinality, full meanuverability over my character, minus the turning that I would normally have with a mouse (Facing North, South, East, West, or any other of 8 directions). I can move with the arrow keys and intact with various NPCs in the game.
I'll have to look into this a little further if I want to get this working on a mobile device. As far as I'm aware from my various tests, you need two devices enabled with bluetooth functionality and have one tether into the other. Have one act as a physical keyboard while one acts as a monitor.
Until then, Cheers!

how did you achieve the spiral knights on android? i have a acer a100 and a logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse that i use to play dos games so im sure that it can run this moderatly well. a tutorial or an idea of how to achieve this would be awesome.

Canozo applauds.
Too bad I got no android.

My mom has that exact same tablet
:D

seriously how did you get it to open spiral knights? what browser didnyou use? what other tools? do you need root to force it to execute the .bin files?
or did you simply remote desktop a pc, set it to fullscreen, and resize the screen clientside?

amazing find....now if i can just get my android to work again...

This is what I get for holing myself up in the Suggestions Forum. To think I've been telling people it's highly improbable to get Spiral Knights working on a mobile device. Next time someone asks for a Spiral Knights mobile app, I'll have to reference this to show that it is possible, but with some (major?) limitations.
Well done.

porting it to android is no biggie, not to mention the game is written in java.
i can guarantee you 100% that no phone in the market is powerful enough to run it in gameplay.
and if there's one made... oh lol, good luck with battery life.
It's nice that you shared it with us but can you explain a little more deeper what you have done to get it working? 'Cause Android's supported by Java so it isn't a big deal on code level so my first thoughts are that you repackaged unpacked .bin file in. apk format? And we have to have in mind, like Reiyu said, there's not enough powerful android device, ie. graphics card to run a game at its full speed yet so it won't be very usefufl especially in Clockworks for now.

im pretty sure my tegra 2 tablet could play spiral knights and hell tegra 3 devices are coming oit and i really bet they can play it. im currently addicted to this game so having it on my tablet too would be crazy............
So nothing new? Lol. Well i do have one lead but i would require the complete zipped/rared client to try it out. But i dont have pc access for a while. In essence you dont even need a apk port. There is a way to run java apps on android. And there are phones powerfu enough to run this. Specially tegra devices. Eg galaxy on fire 2 thd uses 2024x2024 textures etc. Nd i could somewhat run it even on my ideos 8800u.

My mom has that exact same tablet :D
go play your violin xylka!
Looks like Flaame still hasn't found his videocamera.
Whoa, it would be really awesome if you got it working! Even if it was ony good enough for using the AH/chatting/crafting, it would still be a huge accomplishment. Can't wait to see more of it. (And I really hope it's not just a photoshopped image)
