Calling all testers!
The last testing session was very successful. Feedback was formatted well and very thorough, thanks! Now, we've got a new batch of Rank Missions to test, Ranks 7-1 to 9-4. These missions are effectively 'Tier 3' and may be very challenging for you. Please form parties if possible.

Please note that some missions are missing from these ranks, but they should not affect your overall testing capabilities.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:

Posting Guidelines:
The Mission System is fairly robust, so in order to streamline our ability to address the issues you find during testing, we would appreciate it if you follow these guidelines when providing feedback and raising issues you discover:

For issues concerning a particular mission, always include the name of the mission in the Subject line of your post!

Example: "Mission: First Contact - Kora has a typo in her briefing."
Example: "Mission: Welcome to Haven! - The dialog was broken and didn't make sense."
Example: "Mission: Let's Go Shopping! - I'm stuck in a black screen after choosing a response."
Example: "Mission: Shadow of the Beast - I can't unlock this mission"

For issues concerning the Supply Depot, make sure to include "Supply Depot" in the Subject line of your post

For general feedback, include "Feedback" in the Subject line of your post. Please try to include what the feedback relates to in the subject line - be specific!

Example: "Feedback: It isn't clear how I gain ranks or where ranks are displayed."

We appreciate you taking the time to follow these guidelines, and it will ensure that we will see your feedback.

Final Notes:
- These missions are a work in progress. You may notice art, sound, features missing.
- You will only be able to play Rank Missions up to rank 9-4

If you have testing access, you are now free to access the Test Server. There is currently no time frame for when the Test Server will close.

I have a slight problem with

I have a slight problem with testing,
Within the last 2 days, I made purchases of up to $9.90 and cannot afford a another purchase without being forced to load $20 onto a prepaid card. Is there any way the testing amount can be lowered to such, to make due for those who made such purchases (such as my situation of purchasing Crimson Hammer, and then a elevator pass) I am a loyal paying customer but I'm limited to what I can spend monthly

Most of us have completed t1/2 mission on real client side. Some of them are not willing to go thru it again one more time. Would be better if you have all the gears in our inventory which is like last time used to test on lockdown.

I have the same problem. I used a 10$ Ultimate Game Card and I bought the Crimson order pass and the elevator pass, same purchases as Kuger.
Perhaps you could make it people who have spent 9.90$? Because I feel kind of left out right now after becoming a customer, : /

This isn't the first time either, The Frostbite LD test was the exact same problem for me, 5 cents short. I think its kinda ridiculous. I just hope OOO sees my case, I've been a customer ever since April when I started playing

i click the link for the test server for steam, and it sends me to normal spiral knights, not the preview. what am i doing wrong? m on a mac and i followed the safari instructions correctly

I agree with icy mostly everyone has completed those missions so why not give us all the gear to test it out and i also just used $9.94 would that prevent me for getting on the test server?

the people that did the first round of tests still have them where they left of, making the testing more real like, does suck a bit to do it the hard way, but if everything is given they probably wouldn't get the kinda info they need for these new ranks

I can't find my character, I don't know if it had to do with the fact that I converted my account to steam before the second batch. Yet there's a Wuvvums out there so either my test character is in limbo, or it got taken up by another player.

In my opinion you should reconsider the number of prestige points given for turning in 5* weapons. 240 points for 5* when you're given 200 for 4*? That's waaay too low.

Is the bug report dialog (F2) an acceptable means of submitting minor issues on the test server, or are the instructions post here meant to imply that a post on the forum is preferred?

Nick acts like the most of the commects are invisible even though they are asking legitimate questions... not very good customer service for people who spend money on a free game if you ask me. And now its worse because you're going to have to apologize for not at least saying something like "we are sorry for the inconveinience" Am I wrong?

How is this a lack of respect? I spent 9.90$ on a game which I like, and I can't say I regret spending the money, yet.
However, when others are given a special reward, or w/e, excluding me from it because I spent five cents less is ridiculous.
The least they could do is say "We are very sorry that this incident occurred and we will try to find a solution in the future."
I'm their customer, and being downright ignored isn't exactly increasing my chances of buying some more CE/Expansions.

I think the system is automated and having to add exceptions for everyone who spent a few cents less would be rather ridiculous, especially since the content will be arriving sometime in the future. Furthermore if they were to lower the bar by five cents, you'd probably have people who complained that they didn't meet THAT by five cents and so on. It's always been 9.95 and I don't see much reason to change it.

There are plenty of people who don't get on the test server and it's pretty much a bare-bones preview of what may come. The idea is that you're supposed to test it and communicate the bugs, and the bugs aren't too numerous that they need an extremely high population to go at it. I think that for its purpose, the paywall doesn't exclude too many from testing.

I am severely disappointed with the people though who are pretty much using it to derp around in lockdown and beg* around for people's stuff. They pretty much see this as an opportunity to try out all the OOOoo, shiney while it's still cheap. I just did the missions and then stopped playing the test server.

*Yes, people were begging. With infinite energy and an infinite supply of crowns, and 50-coin end-game items in the auction house they were begging. They were begging off the people who rolled new characters and got a new inventory with all the weapons in it, because they really wanted to play around with that one fantasy weapon or two they always wanted. I pretty much went through the FSC mission with a couple of guys who would not drop the fact that someone else in the party had a fang of vog.

Testing Dilemma

Hi. I will get straight to the point.
I am Defender rank in my main Spiral Knights account through Steam.
When I got to the test server, I went through the Crash Site, Rescue Camp, now I am at Haven.

I will be honest here, I don't want to test the new missions if I have to start all the way at the beginning.
If you would, please allow the testers to access ALL missions, and have them NOT locked, so that we can test them from where we left off.

Besides, you want us to test only 7-1 through 9-4 correct? If that is the case, please make it available.
