Since the old Bomb Suggestions thread by Fallout is long dead, and everyone on there is telling me to stop the thread necro, I'll put this new one up as per Severage's suggestion. In this thread, basically suggest either new bombs or changes to existing bombs. I'm pretty sure you can suggest a Bomber Shield here too, though we've all heard the idea before.

I'll start this thread up with two of my own suggestions, that I posted in the old thread.

> Pellet Pelter: This 2* Normal damage bomb spreads bullets (pellets) that look much like a Pepperbox's shots in a clockwise rotating spray; by the time it's rotated once, it'll have fired 16 pellets, and rotates 3-5 times (number of revolutions goes up after making higher level versions? You decide). The higher star versions are the Pellet Pounder, (3*), Pellet Pummeler (4*), and Pellet Punisher (5*), with each higher version doing more damage. The bullets themselves do low damage, like 1/4 to 1/2 an uncharged Autogun/Pepperbox bullet (except without the fire). This may seem low, but all those bullets will really add up! In short, tons of low damage bullets spread over a small area. Should be like using DR on a Construct.

This next one involves two different bombs:
> Positive Ionizer: The 2* Positive Ionizer, once laid, lingers for a while, spraying red sparks in a small area and dealing a little Elemental damage to anything that walks over its area. Later versions are the 3* Charged Positive Ionizer, 4* Supercharged Positive Ionizer, and 5* Crimson Ionizer. Best used with the...
> Negative Ionizer: The Negative Ionizer, once laid, lingers for a while, spraying blue sparks in a small area and dealing a little Elemental damage to anything that walks over its area. Later versions are the 3* Charged Negative Ionizer, 4* Supercharged Negative Ionizer, and 5* Azure Ionizer. When both the Negative Ionizer and Positive Ionizer are laid in the same level (possible requirement: by the same bomber), they'll form a golden lightning bolt between them that lasts a few seconds and causes heavy Elemental damage to anything unfortunate enough to wander into its path. Damage is determined by the levels of both Ionizers, and there is of course a range limit (to prevent too many exploits). If either Ionizer detects more than one opposite Ionizer, it will link to both of them! It can cause Shock if the devs want, but what I want to see is this type of attack style.

Of course, this could all be one bomb, triggered with a normal attack. Utter crap or overpowered? Price worth it? You be the judge.

It's the Catalyzer of bombs,

It's the Catalyzer of bombs, not entirely useful, but sounds fun as all heck.

Imagine 4 Mad Bombers, one with the + ionizer and 3 with the -, that would be sweet!

Oh wow, totally for got the pelter!

I agree with Serell, it sounds fantastic, a mobile, expendable turret!

omg!!

i actually had a similar idea to the pellet pelter before!'n something like, the bomb starts emitting pellets in a stream up down left and right like a lockdown bomb, but the stream starts turning clockwise until it meets with the start of the next stream! i thought it was cool, but would have to do very little damage per pellet, so to not make shard bomb obsolete!

I ALSO love the idea of the ionizers :) would promote much bomber teamwork !

But Also (again) i had an idea for a bomb that shoots lasers, much like the roarmulus twins do! i didnt really think of the mechanics much, but i like the idea, also we need more elemental bombs XD

the deconstructor needs to go elemental... its a gremlin weapon, it only makes sense

BOMBS FTW<3

A laser bomb. Awesome. And I

A laser bomb. Awesome. And I agree on the Decon going elemental, it's a gremlin weapon meant specifically for constructs! If that was done there'd be a reason to use the thing, as it is Master Blast Bomb > Heavy Deconstructor.

Need moar bumpz. Saw someone

Need moar bumpz.

Saw someone on another thread suggest a Mini Blast Cube as a bomb. That would be both awesome and really funny.

Here's another idea:
>Time Bomb: This 3* Normal damage bomb is a play on words. It distorts time within its blast radius, which is the equivalent of stunning anything it hits. 3* Time Bomb stuns for 6s, 4* Prime Time Bomb stuns for 9s, and the 5* Grandfather Time Bomb stuns for a whopping 12 seconds! It doesn't leave a mist like the Haze Bomb series, but there's a lot of uses for a 12 second stun. Just do everyone a favor and keep it out of Vana fights...

Another bump, another bomb. >

Another bump, another bomb.

> Walky Bomb: This 3* Normal damage bomb, made from a Blast Bomb, will start moving toward the nearest enemy until it explodes. While weaker than the standard Blast Bomb, the walking could be a lifesaver! The 4* version is called the Super Walky Bomb, and the 5* version is the Bomb Made for Walkin'. I suppose that's just what it'll do.

I honestly feel bad about triple posting... so please bump this, if only to give the Walky Bomb and Time Bomb a scathing rebuke.

How about a bomb with a

How about a bomb with a relatively long fuse that once activated creates a ring of [insert non-generic substance here]. Enemies that touch the ring take elemental/shadow damage and are stunned to walking speed (like black stuff in SL does) for a short period of time. This would be a cool tool for bombers who want to trap enemies and gain area control without the status hazers.

i love the ideas here

so many good bomb ideas, be it humorous or useful,

i think a bomb that would help bombers alot is a bomb that, after charging, you would chuck "without stopping" in the direction you are facing, about 4-6 blocks, it would have a fast fuse time, but little radius and knockback. maybe even turn the irontech bomb into this, it een looks like a grenade

Gremlin scatter bomb!

I'm not much for creating weapons, but I think that having a bomb that split off into multiple smaller explosions (probably a random scatter within a given area) like you get when you have a demo throwing a handful of them at you would be fun. I can see them dealing elemental damage with a chance to cause fire, and the higher star the bomb, the more small explosions and the higher a chance of setting things aflame you get.

An anti-jellies bomb....

What I'd really like to see is something that deals some serious damage to jellies (the ISB is sooooo pathetic). I basically have an answer for every other mob class, but jellies is the only one that I'm seriously forced to use a nitro on. \:L

My suggestion really isn't to make a new bomb, but to change the damage type of one that already exists. I'm thinking that, since the ISB is fairly useless as it is, why not make it into a shadow version of the Radiant Sun Shards? Maybe call it the Dark Moon Shards or something (I wonder if the Devs have ever taken the name suggestions of players XD).

I don't know, what do you guys think?

(Note: The new Dark Retribution doesn't count in my mind because you have to pay actual money to get it.)

I was the suggester of that Jelly bomb.

got an idea.

Musicboom line: A elemental bomb that once released, creates a sound wave that does continius damage. It has its radius graphic wire frame, squiggly lines like soundwaves.

4=Deciboom, 5*Sonicboom Shatterer

More....MORE WEAPONS!!!! I grew up playing Ratchet and Clank....

>Dummy bomb
Creates a knightshape dummy and mobs aggro at it instead of you (Only while u deal no damage to them). It breaks after taking enough damage.
How it works : Plant ---> Dummy formed and aggroed all enemies around (very long range...long enough to cover arena) ----> Mobs keep attacking that dummy until it breaks or u hit them.

3* Dummy ( does not explode)
4* Bomb dummy ( explode after getting a few hits poisoning/stunning mobs around)

>Buff bomb (4* )
Vaporizer type bomb which create an energy field that increases knights attack power ( Only while standing inside)
Has 4* Vaporizer range, long charge time ( Longer than any existing bomb) and very short fuse. Field lasts for 10 seconds.

ME TOO!!!!

Well not really, I'm a teen still......

Idea!

Bomb lobber: A glove that holds a bomb that can be thrown as its charge. It has a small radius and low damage, but can be thown repetidly, high CTR and a good range.

Goin' off with what Tevokkia

Goin' off with what Tevokkia said, I'd like a scatter bomb, but one of a BLAST CUBE-ESQUE design.

MINI BLAST CUBES.

I'm not much of a bomber, so I can't say I'll be able to make somethin' balanced, but it'd be cool to have it explode, scatter a few "pellets," and then explode again.
