When Bombies approach me, they proceed to explode which seems bomb-like and normal but then these four bullets seem to come out of nowhere. If these bullets do in fact come from the Bombies themselves, I'd suggest a name change or an attack change to bring them in line with their name as currently it's very misleading. This sort of naming confusion can put knights at risk and I don't feel Spiral HQ should be putting us at such risks.
Bombies not acting bomb-like?
What Tier was this in?
If it's T3, then I'd say that's fair. T3 is full of tricky stuff like that, but if it was the lower tiers then that's not cool.
Also I think it's common for bombs to expel debris and stuff outward during an explosion, some nasty bombs are made specifically to do that, maybe that's what OOO was going for.
You've just proven why the reason was in fact "it was OP" rather than "not bomb-like".
Oh that's a bomb right?
I choose to use swords mostly, because they bring me joy. I don't waste my time with things that enrage or annoy me. I move on and do something fun instead.

Also, +1 to this.
Here, have a 1-UV ticket.
Everyone who posts in the next 5 mins gets 100 tickets, though. GO!
Except that Bombies actually do a very bomb-like AoE explosion before releasing shots that do level-appropriate damage, and have the same range as a normal gun bullet, whereas RSS had no AoE, did more damage than a 4* should have, and had more range than any gun.
Your logic is flawed.
@Duke
Not saying that the RSS did not need a little nerf, or be made 5*.
Saying that Bombies, by Nick's logic, should not shoot bullets.
I simply love that you brought up this topic, but OOO will simply ignore this thread like many others regarding to the "not bomb like" topic
OOO said anything that shoots bullets is a gun (totally ignoring winmillion). Doesn't matter if it has AoE. Polaris shoots bullets and has AoE.
Edit : nvm about winmillion. Nick said swords are supposed to be a mix of the two. Except there are a lot of swords that don't shoot bullets....
Here i made a thread about the old utility of the shards and their inutility now, fell free to discusse there to
OOO don´t gonna take care of a thread with few comments :(
Eh, to be honest, I really do not give a damn either way about this. I had an RSS for a long time before the patch and I can count the times I actually used it on one hand. Still never use it, heh. But in my humble opinion, it makes it a whole lot easier to be unbiased about the whole thing.
Bombies shouldn't be doing this! They're OP because they shoot bullets and no player suspects it from a bomb-based enemy!
(My RSS hit the scrapper awhile ago, that med CTR's gone now. ISB stands some chance of retribution on solo runs.)
~No bomber
Who said Bombies have to act like bombs? Don't be stupid.
Kats act like cats? Greavers act like greaves? Jellies act like jelly?
Don't be stupid.
Kats are called Kats because they resemble the appearance of a cat somewhat, Jellies are called Jellies because they look like Jelly, Greavers are called Greavers because... well I don't know... cool name I guess? Well Greaver kinda sounds like griefer and they do cause great grief.... especially to bombers now.
Bombies are not called bombies because they look like bombs, but because they're supposed to act like a bomb, which by Nicks logic, is not bomb-like.
And bombies are called bombies because they have fuses on their heads like bombs.
We could call them Alfalfas though. In fact I propose a name change to Alfalfas.
And why do they have fuses on their head? Because they're supposed to explode like a bomb, which isn't bomb-like (according to Nick...).
But according to your logic, if it looks like a duck then it's a duck. If it looks like a cat, then it's a Kat. And if it looks like a jelly then it's a Jelly. So, if it looks like a bomb, then it's a bomb.
No they just look like bombs, they don't have to act like them.

"Kats are called Kats because they resemble the appearance of a cat somewhat, Jellies are called Jellies because they look like Jelly"
By extension Bombies are called Bombies because they look like they have a bomb on their head. Please learn logic.
Dr. Snipenstine decided to make some new Zombies. So he took some Zombies and genetically combined them with some Greavers then shoved a load of TNT inside the things skull. Hence... the Bombie was born.

If Kats look like cats, and Jellies look like jelly, shouldn't trojans look like um, something else? And no, I'm not talking about that big ass horse those Greeks built.
If Kats look like Cats and Jellies look like Jelly, shouldn't Gremlins look like Gremlins?
OP actually has a very good idea. Instead of going full length to make sure RSS is consistent with the new cluster bombs, why not just keep RSS mechanism and rename it. I would add this to our draft letter to Daniel James.
Did you really expect something from these people?
LOL, thats a good one.
I wouldn't mind receiving a new RSS bomb with the old mechanics themed on a bombie.
Welll than I'm soooo sorry for thinking a freakin BOMBIE should act like a BOMB -_____-
Heh. I see what you did there. However, Nick was talking specifically about how *player* weapons work. Enemies are wildcard, as usual.
You had a good counter, but it's easily reflected. Look to pulsar lines if you want to pin OOO down. Hell, look at the catalyzer charges too. Stack them, then detonate. What happened to guns shooting bullets?
Still, all this world lawyering will just make it less likely for OOO to tell us anything in the future. Can't call them hypocrites if they never say anything. Not that it matters to them.
Name ONE enemy which can't consistently be called a gunner or swordie.
None of them can be called bombers. Gremlin bombers throw their bombs around but exploding gunshots are okay for some reason. Bombies are actually just swordies. Their attack is pretty much just the mecha knight's spin attack, but a little weaker. Projectiles and bombs are okay with swords too, you see.
Seerus lays bombs, you say? You could say that's just an enemy with two weapons, but I say those bombs are his Hammer's charge attack.
HA!
You've just put OOO in check, but they'll most likely ignore this topic.
Dude, you're a genius.
