Severage is unarguably the most guild-orientated poster in the whole of the SK forums. He posted multiple guild-related threads, including the unofficial 'Guild improvements' mega-thread, which all posters refer to when someone requests guild upgrades.

He's been wanting guild improvements for so long, and has been working on trying to improve them via his mega-thread.

This day was the one he was hoping to see.

Whatever, he worked really hard to try and rationalize possible guild improvements.

I still remember back when he started that thread; there were so many others that just bit the dust and I telt him not to get his hopes up too mcuh, since all the others got ignored.
Hey, just encouraged him to work harder; put a lot more effort into his threads than anyone else did and that thing evolved into a seerusly detailed list. A lot of it came to pass and is now in game. S'good stuff; I also suspect a tear down his cheek~

@You dudes:

Aww, you guys give me too much credit.

Many people helped me build my idea.

I haven't logged in yet, but I did see the inside of EoS' (That's Njthug's Guild Hall, which is, as you might have guessed, already decked out) Guild Hall, and I like most of what I see.

The training dummies from my thread were added in the form of punching bags with symbols on them! I love it!

The only thing I'm not really sure about is the AH and other Haven-related stuff...it was brought up in my thread but I myself shot it down because I didn't want the Havens to die.

But...

Thanks OOO!

It's congratulating someone

It's congratulating someone who put a lot of time and effort into making this update (that virtually everyone wanted) happen in a way that everyone can be happy with. That's not just a bit of meaningless gossip, that's giving someone their dues for working so hard on it.

Gossip would be the thread about which GMs visit GHs.

Gotta go rain on the parade, Batabii, lol.

As a congratulation addendum, I would like to list all of the really great peeps who assisted me in keeping my thread alive and with all kinds of fresh content...

Skold-The-Drac, Triplescrew, Hexzyle, Mwahahaha, Klipik, Mirtsmak, Isenfir, and Hmmnm.

Just some special thanks to my greatest contributors - of course, there are many more who helped, I just didn't want to make a long post. These guys, especially Skold, Hex, and Mwahahaha, easily contributed as much as I did.

Okay, just wanted to say that.

Hopefully in the future I'll be able to bring up all the things in our thread that weren't added (That really should be!) in a new thread.

However, now the suggestions forum is going to be spammed with "you should add *this* and *this* to the guildhall", so Suggestions Forum people, keep referring to thread 40011 :3

Sum of all my actions

Annoy the crap out of forum newbs
Refer them to thread 40011
Occasionally annoy the thread myself
Bash the crap out of lesser threads attempting same goals :P
Telling people to keep their guild stuff for 40011
Telling guildmates to look at the thread

And all this for a feature they didn't add. There is still no "Jukebox Hero" achievement. :P

'gratz Sev. Your thread = your cred.

So now that we know that the devs could be working on miraculous updates that would make Jesus jealous, might you all be compelled to push for more things like a tier four or The Core or some such?

No, but maybe some nice balancing or something.

Bild des Benutzers Severage

@Thimol:

I'd love to, but that's not really my place. I'm really not very creative with things of the Tier-4 nature, because the balance for such a release would be so delicate that virtually anything would be overpowered.

Manalicious has the right idea. It's more likely we balance what we have first.

@Skold:

Haha. I was more referring to the support you gave inside the thread itself, but that works too.

Jukebox Hero would've been so cool too >:|

Problem is, now that the GH Updates are out, it'll be months or years before they mess with them again...so it seems very unlikely that they'll do anything more (Like Bulletin Boards (Though they did do MOTD, Bulletin Boards would be better imo), Jukebox Hero, etc.) for a long time.

So yeah...not sure if I wanna invest time to make a new thread that will be ignored for a long time. I might do it anyway, though. For who knows why.

Not gonna lie, Nick. I was totally expecting you to say that Severage had no influence on the content that was released, but rather his objectives coincided with your own.

I'm very happy to see that that is not what you said. >_>

Now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. That's twice you've made my day!

BTW, I was saying that you guys wouldn't update it for a while because it had just undergone an update. I hope you didn't take offense to that or anything; it just seemed unlikely that after an update this large happened, another would happen.

I think, despite what many people say, it's pretty evident that you guys read the Suggestions forums...some pretty cool stuff has been added similar to what's been suggested. Like monster pockets...Howlitzers and Polyps...etc. Oh, not to mention the random one-liner that you guys pop in there, which is pretty comical most the time.

Thanks again to you and your team, Nick. =]

EDIT: Oh, and nice idea with the Mist Well.

I'm tempted to think that that's a forgery...

Balance goes without saying, but doesn't come without a discussion.

Well, true. I'm not one of those people to discuss it, however, and I do think discussion goes without saying as well. I didn't really think that balance was just something people kept in a box and just smeared it on their games when they needed it.

Bild des Benutzers Severage
Severage
@Thimol:

lol, I was just being silly of course.

You can't have a discussion without saying anything...haha.

No, but it's pretty surprising what most games get away with in terms of "balance". Spiral Knights is only a victim to lack of balance in LD, as far as I'm aware, and more and more weapons (Like the newest addition, OCH) are rivaling the old juggernauts of PvP.

Anyway, if you want to talk about balance, speak to Luguiru. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to have the longest discussion known to mankind with you on it.

Meanwhile, I must see to my pioneering of further Guild Hall production, OOO willing. Just remember, Nick, you asked for it.

I tease. =P

we plan to keep supporting them with new content in the near future.

Tbh, I hope that's just as an appeasement, because now that we've got the base GH update, I'd much rather some far more pressing updates than further cosmetic updates. GH is great and all, and I love how much work has been put into it and am glad that plans are there to continue to support and update it, but it's far from the most important thing in this game, and with the GHs out now, I'd like to see some other updates in the meantime (before any more GH content), such as Normal Weapon buffing, Suda buffs, LD balances, Polaris removal...

Bild des Benutzers Severage
Severage
@Darkbrady:

" Normal Weapon buffing, Suda buffs, LD balances, Polaris removal..."

Haha. Good luck with that. The polaris removal part, anyway...

By the way, he did say that as long as it continued to be popular. Should less people want Guild Hall updates now that it has been expanded to begin with, surely the GMs will address the thing of greatest concern.

~Sev

Bild des Benutzers Darkbrady

The polaris removal part,

The polaris removal part, anyway...

One can hope. Honestly, I've spent considerable time trying to think of a way to debuff the gun so that it doesn't become an immediate and instant bomber/recon removal system, but there aren't many ways that don't completely kill the gun as it is anyway. ><
I don't like that an entire class/sub-section can be so easily countered by a single weapon that everyone uses and doesn't even need upgrades for, and then you GvG against Jemp and 90% of the match is spent looking at the entire team hoofin' your base with polaris and you start to realise that just removing it altogether wouldn't be such a terrible thing...

BUT YES! I do want more GH stuff don't get me wrong, but one thing at a time, like. Now that we have GH and everyone's happy, I'm hopin' that they'll start to skim over some of the more crucial, smaller details that a smaller portion of the community has been wanting (i.e, Normal Weapons).

Ofc, while they shiny up my Suda, keep up the V2 thread for the future, once all that's been dealt with and GHs need pet Dinosaurs to wander around~

Bild des Benutzers Severage

@Darkbrady:

No arguments there, my friend...no arguments there...

I'm a real procrastinator. If I don't like something, or if I complain about something, I don't use it. This is why I play LD without trinkets (Especially heart trinkets, but no trinks at all) and without Polaris. I do use the wolver clone set, but I have much less of a problem with the wolver monopoly than those other two things...

If OOO should ever find themselves with nothing better to do, my V2 will be up. Like they ever have extra time on their hands - lol.
