You are a knight of the Spiral Order, a massive troop of arms with great honour, bravery and valiance. After Skylark lost her wings forever, everyone sought shelter in the peaceful town of Haven. You are among the citizens, and you've faced it all: monsters, fiends, darkness, strange knowledge, strange world. Everything is strange here, in fact, nothing is revealed completely. It never had.
For that reason, the Spiral Knights are constantly exploring the depths of the Clockworks. You have trained yourself skilfully, exposing yourself to various skills of every field, in hope that you will be chosen as a knight worthy to be called to accomplish the most elite missions.
Right now, you've risen high through the ranks, being proven capable of taking on any tasks. From then onwards, you made the decision to be assigned officially as...
A. A Guardian
B. A Recon
C. A Geo Knight/Research Knight
[Choose only one from the above choices, the decision made is based on the most votes]

GOSHDARNIT. WHY THIS STORY?!
Well, I'd choose C. You guys already had done a stealth-type role in "The Gremlin Spy", so why not do something that no one has done before?
(Guardians will pretty much be the most direct path of the mission, fighting solo and whatnot. In other words, we're doing an action movie, but we don't really know what the heck will happen. I mean, that's just like being Arnold Schwarzenegger. Recon is a bit like the Gremlin Spy, except even MORE stealth is required. While we may get SOME of the story, being a Recon may not allow us to comprehend certain texts and such. We're a bit like Tom Cruise going solo, so no smart guys to help us comprehend the story. Thus, we will only get a slightly larger understanding of the situation. Being a Geo Knight, however, will probably give the readers the MOST story out of them all. This is because we can use our knowledge to piece together the history of the Trojans. Now, WHO WOULDN'T DO THAT?! Besides, it's going to be funny as h*** when we go Leroy Jenkins through the Clockworks.)

Due to the exploit of post-editing, I will have to make a restriction to this.
(Rule 4 added.)

Let's go with C, I would like to see where it will lead us to :3
Let the investigation begin!

I didn't change my decision, or at least I think. I'm sure I only added to that other thing... Do I just leave that post alone then?

Don't worry, it has nothing to do with that. I have thought about making this rule a long time ago, but I forgot to type it in. I tend to be forgetful sometimes :P

i would have to go with A. and also make a app forum for the main persons

After reading everyone else's posts, I probably would have chosen C...but I want to be honest and give what I really would like to see. :3
Glad to see that you have this up and going, Snow! Looking forward to another round of great storytelling! :D

B stands for Be a Recon! What's better than looking ahead?

A if the guardian is a supporting unit, c if not.

@Kanoka
As long as everyone continues to give their support, the adventure lives on!
@Dmatter
Well, you still need to make a final decision to make your vote count :)

Does this count as making a comment during a voting session?

liked your gremlin spy story. I choose CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC overkill

Technically, you already made two separate comments ;)

C - 8 (Vinnydime, Infernus-Dragneel, Fleet-Miss-Gun, Frignard-The-Third, Hawxindanite, Keyboard-Crusher, Tevokkia, Shotjeer)

(Pooh... That's a lot.)

To be honest, tracking the achievements took me a lot longer than I expected. To record every individual post, every single answer, and typing everything in... all these took over 1 hour to complete. I could've used that time to quickly finish the second chapter. Turns out achievements are only manageable by computers, and I got myself into this huge distraction.
Of course, I really love to reward those who spent their precious time reading my fan fiction, but what is the point of storytelling if the main thing has drifted away, being taken over by something else entirely different? I only want to offer what it true, not something artificial.
I apologise for making a such a decision, but I may need to dump away all the achievement stuff away. You may call me a jerk for not keeping my promise. However, all I want is the best for everyone: to simply sit down and enjoy the story without any distraction. This is the world of fiction, not the world of materialistic ideas. That is what I strongly believe.
Moving on!

It must be hard tracking it all down, perhaps you would need someone in assistance?
(I would like to help but I myself is bad at tracking down a list >_>)

HEY SNOW. REMEMBER WHO OFFERED TO HELP?

If you really wanted to keep the achievements, I wouldn't mind helping tally them too.

thnx for letting me in. Question, do achievements reset for every new fanfic? BTW, im tallying my points as we go along, im just wondering if I should reset my points once a new fanfic comes up.

Thank you for your cares and concern, I really do appreciate every kind help you offer. But I think I've worded the problem incorrectly.
I wasn't exactly worried about keeping track of achievements. Instead, I am concerned about using a long time reading through each post to check if all the players met the requirements to get their deserved achievement(s). Only computers can instantly auto-detect those. If anyone of you wants to volunteer to watch over the achievements, that would mean I have to reveal to you how the achievements are unlocked, and certainly it wouldn't be fair to everyone else.
However, point tallying should be easy. So for now, I decide to keep the point system (every post you make will award you 1 point). In other words, you can still claim prizes as you collect enough points! Achievements were merely meant to be little encouragements to boost up your points faster, but it seems like it was too daunting to be handled by mere humans. Sure, it's possible, but I prefer spending that amount of time to write up the story. (Sorry Artistbma)
Meanwhile, continue voting for the next chapter while I do some more thinking :)

As a researcher, each passing day is very unpredictable to you; sometimes you spend sleepless nights calculating the endless stream of data. Sometimes you have to answer an emergency call to examine a test sample before it gets contaminated by the surrounding. Sometimes your schedules are pretty spacious with very few duties, that is, until you have to attend to more emergency calls.
Today is one of those days. You wake up to the sounds of early-rising snipes, as you had always relied on them to do so. You freshen yourself up and double-check your schedule for the day. Indeed, it is a duty-free day. You look out through the window of your garrison, and realise it's only about two hours past daybreak. Some knights are starting to appear around the usual busy spots (the guards still staying at their post), but overall the town is still considerably quiet.
You feel like you should step out and do something to occupy yourself in the meantime. How will you spend your free hours?
A. Hang out around the fountain in the Town Square.
B. Walk around the Bazaar to look for any offers.
C. Head to the Arcade to lend some help.
Note: While I'm working on adjusting some plans, the third chapter release will be delayed from one day to two days.

C again! Oh, by the way i now have the initiator.

B! Perhaps you we could get something good in our hands :3

If our researcher here has spent so much time working, maybe it'd be nice for him to have a bit of a break in the Town Square, near the melodious sounds of the fountain...each choice establishes a different type of character, and I'd like to see him not be too much of a workaholic. :)

A!
(And, no, I didn't choose this because Artistbma choose it above me. I choose before I read other peoples posts, as to not steal your prizes.)

Lets just chillax near the fountain and swim in it...... If we can......

I missed the first vote?! ARGH! DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Anyway........ I want the researcher to lose his job!

Still... you gotta make an actual vote, either A, B or C :)

I decided to put off the achievement idea behind for good. Click here for more info.
P.S.: Everyone can still keep their extra points earned in the first post! Hurray!
P.P.S.: For fair's sake, everyone gets 17 points, which is the highest points earned on that round by Artistbma. Cheers!

Because Geo Knights simply don't fight. It's not in a civilian's nature. That's a no for C.
Because it's fun socializing and then examining the psychological behavior of the conversations you make. And there's not much to do but business in the Bazaar. And breakfast. that's a no for B
wow, it's open!
