Hello there.
In game I work a lot in the dark hearts guild hall, decorating it and trying to just make the place look nice. When I am online with my laptop and cell phone for internet I can’t really go into the clockworks to go kill things and play. So I sit around the hall and look at the rooms and how to design them, fix them up, etc.
I loved the Moorcroft manor stuff that was added, and really gave us a bit more variety, however... Birdsong emporium is still lacking things. And I was a bit heartbroken that the benches that were added with Moorcroft weren't two person seat able. Anyway, here are some ideas for things I had in mind for guild hall furniture.
More Color Variants: The current red and blue are ok, however they get dull since that’s all there really is for main furniture set pieces. It would be nice if we can get the modular stuff in not just red and blue, but finish the white set and add things like orange, purple, green, yellow, teal, black. And maybe instead of having a different color you have to buy. Make it so you can buy one and just change its color on demand (For example, instead of a "Modular red table" it would be just a "Modular table" that you can change the color of by holding the table using a button to change the color back and forth before placing it. This would make things A LOT simpler, as well as less mistakes when decorating (like buying the worng furniture))
Sofas: Modern type looking Sofas (Use link as a reference http://www.leathersofaland.com/product_images/uploaded_images/oslo-3-2-s... ) that come in different colors and styles
1 person sofa chairs (1x1 block)
2 person sofas (1x2 blocks)
3 Person sofas (1x3 blocks)
These sofas should be able to fit multiple knights on them as well, maybe using different target points per cushion, or a selection menu. (Consider a modular chair can fit one knight on a 1x1 block)
Benches: The Moorcroft ones are nice and fancy, but I am thinking something more simple, that’s just wood or metal with no armrests, and takes up 1x2 or 1x3 spaces and can sit more than one knight. (2 to 3 respectively)
Table top items: Yes, items that can go on top of chest of drawers and tables. How I was thinking how this works is, the normal placement grid is blue. When you put a table down on the blue grid, that blue spot becomes a green spot on top of the table. Green spots can only fit table top items on them. So we can have much more decorated rooms. These items could be things like:
Lamps
Table top plants.
Computer stations
Documents/books
Weapon props.
And anything else you guys may want to add to it. Like make sundries able to be placed on top of tables. (Since they look kind of dumb on the floor)
Tables and Desks: Well.... If you going to add stuff that goes on top of other stuff, may as well add more places to put it right?
Tables in different grid sizes of maybe 1x2, 1x3, 2x2, 2x3. These tables would look better than just the little 1x1 ones we have now and look more complete
Desks 1x2, 1x3 to U shaped type office desks so that it would be nice to set up an office room for say guild officers.
Workbenches. These would be the type you would either use as a drawing table, or to disassemble weapons on.
Stools. Simple square or circle no back type of stools to sit on
Beds: The current beds are actually pretty nice; however having a few more types would be a good idea. Some ideas I had, for example:
Large two person beds (Currently the 1 person bed is 2x3 grid size, these large ones would be 4x3 and can fit two sleeping knights.)
A 1x3 small bunk room type bed. (These would be great for military type bunk rooms, especially for larger guilds)
And a 2x3 two person top and bottom bunk bed (For the same reason as the other one, for military type bunk rooms to fit more knights in a room. To have knights in both the top and bottom bed, I was thinking when you click on it, it brings up a menu that has [Top Bunk][Bottom bunk][Cancel] so that you can choose which bunk to sleep in)
Misc stuff for halls.
Computers and stuff you can put into rooms, like the monitors and stuff you see around the game.
Could also have buckets of minerals (Like Crimsonite, etc) for decoration.
Weapon racks and armor racks (workable if possible so you can display stuff on them. and if the person gets kicked out of the guild with their stuff on a rack, it automatically goes back to them or they need to donate it to the hall to have stuff displayed, however you want to work it)
Anything else that would be good for work areas for decoration purposes.
Room Ideas: Have the option to close spaces between rooms with either a buyable wall or a door. Also add brinks and the supply depot knight as a room. (Maybe called Spiral Order Supply and Exchange) So we can use our tokens within the hall without having to travel three load screens and a long walk to go talk to brinks on the other side of haven.
Also, I helped my guild get a training room, we all liked how it turned out. However, for a million CR it was a slight bit of a let down for me. I wanted to suggest and a 4th room to the training room for guild hall that (If possible) have a arena type room that you can pick what monsters you want to fight from the clockworks. They DO NOT drop loot, but you can train on fighting them instead of just bots you can insta kill and target bags. (although, those target bags are great for getting an idea of your DPS)
And maybe eventually add a way to get the Moorcroft manor stuff into the game.
Anyway, that’s all I have as ideas for now. If I have any more thoughts I may add to this thread. Thank you all for reading through my wall of text!
