Unexpected end of file from server

So, my computer is well above the minimum requirements to run this game, and I have read many of the posts on this thread so far. I also have done everything that the very first post on the thread says to do, but I am still running into this problem. when i launch the game, either in browser, or from the install, i get this error:
0% complete
The application has failed to launch due to the following error:
Unexpected end of file from server
Pleas visit
for information on how to handle such problems.
That is the exact error I've been getting none stop, after several uninstalls and reinstalls and restarts of my computer and downloading drivers for video card and updating java and all that special stuff. By now I would have totally given up and went back to playing Call of duty: Black ops, but my friends really like this game and keep suggesting i give it a try. If you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated! B)

This does sound like an old
This does sound like an old Java issue, be sure to check that your Java was updated and it's actually being used.
Also another option could be a firewall issue.
Depending on which firewall you might have, add 'java.exe' and 'javaw.exe' to the list of allowed programs/exceptions.
And make sure traffic is allowed on port 47624 on both TCP and UDP.

I got same problem. Cant download game ... just 0% and i too reinstalled java and video card drivers but it wont help me. I allowed both ports 47624 and java.exe and javaw.exe. Game still dont want download.

I tried lunch web option and downloaded option [client]. Same things ..... 0% and then" Unexpected end of file from server ".... I was waiting 5 days for that game and now i see i can't even download it.

well i cleaned files ...
well i cleaned files ... reinstlled java .... nothink work still 0%
i will probably need some like full installer to that game like in puzzle pirates or other games.

this is so anoying
ever sines the newest update came out i cant even download it just the same error unexpected end of file from server i have tried everything i have re downloaded the game many times and re and uninstalled it many many times everything is up to date the game was working this morning before the update but as soon as they released it it has stuffed up and no way of fixing it
please is there anyone out there that has found a fix for this ongoing problem

How about to upload every patch for this game on a special page?
This could solve the problem guys.
I either have the same Problem. Tried it once to turn off my antivir worked but only once =(.
Big problem is that Only my Computer (we got 4 at home) Have this problem will try later something will add in in a hour.

Got the same issue, re-installed/downloaded the client as well as java, cleaned my java cache and what not; nothing seems to be happening. Can a GM or someone get on task cuz it's very annoying.

You need Delete the local content of Spiral Knights in steam. Then you go to your directory of Spiral Knights and delete the File. After That reinstall and its fixed =). Greetz Grummelbart

Well, in all likelyhood, it could be due to any given update that's been Ascertained within the last few days. Yet, if it's not that, then dawg, I have no idea what could possibly be causing such a thing as that. It's nothing like what I've heard of before, and certainly not something you'd expect from a browser game of all things. Even though that's true, one thing's for dang sure; We'd rather have you on here than that Call of Duty hum bug any day. So, I'm certain we'll continue to figure out what the issue is, and get back to you as soon as possible!
