Return to Cradle (discussion thread)
@Aekuryi: your character is intriguing. I'm interested to see what she struggles with. Accepted!
@Dewca: your character is interesting. The potential for unbridled anger is a sign of someone who bottles up his feelings; if your character is rather open, as you suggest, then that warning may have to be changed. Otherwise, he sounds like a pleasant fellow. He is accepted!
How many people do you think we should get before starting?
I would think five or six, then let people join in for a while.
We could technically start now by writing the intro sequences for our characters. As long as there are two or more characters in play, there can be interaction.
Seatus will only show up once 5* Knights enter his Lair, Sanctuary, hidden under the God-Forsaken Gloaming Wildwoods within the Shadow Lair. He is the ambassador for the Beast family, since his Father lost his mind to the Swarm. He will help whatever cause he can to make sure Cradle remains safe from forces who would destroy it. He has a deep connection with the Core, and will take orders from it if ever so necessary.
Name: Seatus
Gender: Male
Race: Snarbolax (Son of the)
Appearance: A humanoid-like figure, looking like his Father.
Bio: Chapter 1 of the now closed Fanfiction of a Snarbolax.
Name: Equinox
Gender: Male
Race: Stranger
Appearance: 6 foot tall 15 year old human (not a human, just appearance ;P) With silver, rainbow-glinting hair and dark rainbow-glinting eyes. He wears his Stranger Cloak, and is always accompanied by his two Snipes, one black, the other white.
Bio: You're gonna find out anyways ;P
Both are accepted!
I kinda feel guilty for creating 5* characters, seeing as I outlawed it. :3
The original people already know the gist of his Bio. . . But that was only a handful of people. . .
Mehehe. . .
I'll be posting my character soon, speaking of which, I'm pretty sure thinslayer's looking for the apps in the story thread.
Just do what I do....avoid using power if possible
(lol what a hypocrite I am muahahahahaha)
I actually can't decide where the character apps should go. When people read the stories, it's nice if they know the characters they're reading about. That would necessitate their placement in the story thread. However, they are not actually story additions, and could clog up the story thread if there's a lot of them, so they should belong in the discussion thread.
I still can't decide, so I'm not too pushy either way.
Seatus you posted on the official thread, not the discussion.
o.o
I knew this was a good idea. . . Although this time, Much darker. Yes. . . That would be a nice turn away from the rest of the roleplay forums we've been through.
Also. . . I think I found a good bit of music for her, just ignore the VIDEO, and It should fit what you've been told.
Within Temptation - Shot In The Dark
I've noticed that Feron is often portrayed as a villain. I would like the leading members of the Spiral Order to be virtuous, so...can we treat Feron as a good guy? If the Order needs villains, we will create them.
Speaking of which:
Name: Serris
Gender: Male
Appearance: extra-tall height, angry eyes, orange personal color
Arsenal: Elemental Hood/Cloak, Great Defender, Grintovec, Shadowtech Alchemer Mk II
Costume: military Round Helm w/ Golden Laurels, Elemental Cloak w/ prismatic Proto Crest
Bio: He is a Lieutenant in the Spiral Order, commander over the 100,000-strong garrison on Cradle. He is arrogant, merciless, and devious. He has a number of illegal and dangerous secret projects, and has no qualms about violating the Spiral Code. Still, no one has been able to displace him because of his immense skill and intelligence.
I like your character. The Spiral Outcast is a kind of dramatic character that I appreciate. However, you have him wearing 4* gear. Recall in the rules that I prohibited its initial use. Would you be content for him to wear UV'd Solid Cobalt with a Cool Plume on his helmet?
Never said he was a villain. Equinox just hates him for his tactics, as if Feron thinks of Equinox as some primitive creature.
Undertaker, or (SPOILER)ADRIAN CREVAN! DUN DUN DUN! XD
Thats fine, but make that into a cool long feather instead
(And i meant that armor as end game)
Chrisstopher. . . I DETECT A CROSS-DRESSER!
Now, quoting time.
Cross-dressers are law breakers! I will deal with them! I am the law! - Marshank ((You broke the law. I AM THE LAW!))
Also, I'll be posting in the morning. Early-Morning. Goodnight.
I was thinking the same thing. But considering this is Infernus, it's obvious a female spirit is using Chrisstopher as her own personal vessel.
Hahaha.. No, there is going to be no spirits or gods coming out of me this time.
Wouldn't be a bad idea for someone in the baracks to meet up with Equinox...
I was a bit bored so i thought i would submit another app...
Name: Rita
Gender: female
Race: Isoran
Personality: She is a kind hearted person but can become a little rough if things are not done her way. She is known to go RAGE at people and pretty much demolish them. However she does not show that side much (thankfully). Other than that she is a great leader. She can easily get distracted though. However despite her friendly heart she always seems to be hiding something...
Apperance: Always seen wearing a solid colbat helm. Only her greatest friends have seen her true face. She has a long scar from her cheek to her neck from fire that burnt down the place where she lived.
Bio: Her entire family was killed in a huge forest fire. She hides these facts inside but always thinks about these facts inside. Sometimes she misses her family and her house but. Even though she seems hard on the outside she can be a bit soft-hearted. She is quite a good fighter and her best weapon is her cautery sword.
Aresenal: solid colbat helm and armor, cautery sword, industrial catalyzer and her swiftstike buckler.
Thinslayer, Who would you choose to play the role of Alice, (Not THAT alice) As I sort of consider her as an NPC. Shall we do the rule where everyone may control at least one NPC?
Also. . . Raised by wolves? Lemme help you with that
.
BAHAHAHAHAHA Whew. . . Need a good laugh every now and then.
Can I assume your camp is one of the baracks? Sorry if you're new to the forums, but if we isolate a character in an RP, your gonna have a bad time. XD
@Dewca: I'm gonna recommend you only handle one character at a time, so your app is rejected.
You can begin writing at any time. Don't wait for others to interact with you. And Seatus is right, you'll want to keep you character close to everyone else's (i.e. Haven Town Square or Skylark), or you will have a hard time getting involved in the story.
@Liminori: I'm trying to avoid Lewis Carroll stuff, but if I had to choose, Gwen would be "Alice." I don't want the messiness of two Core beings.
Gwen wouldn't fit as Alice, and Liminori's character's NAME is Alice, not the Core being
I need to read more carefully. xD
Sorry about that, Lim.
@Seatus: Gwen and Alice (Core variant) cannot coexist, unless Alice is not the intelligence behind the Core. I could see Alice being a human/valkyrie who is protected by the Sanctuary, though.
She isn't the intelligence. But remember, we're NOT going too deep into that EVAR again, but I do think it was a good storyline for my Saga to be explained ;D
(Chromalisk With Monocle: THIS IS ALL HIS TWISTED SAGA! DON'T STEP ANY CLOSER, OR YOU MIGHT GET TRAPPED WITHIN IT'S EVER-SPINNING WEB! IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING IS CONSUMED INTO HIS HORRID STORY!
Seatus: *drop kicks Chromalisk into Gloaming Wildwoods*)
Ah, okay. I don't want to go too deep into that, either. :)
So, it seems everyone is interested in the Al'truis arriving right off the bat? I was hoping for it to race the Skylark there, but oh well. By the way, its captain is Kyrto by default.
Gzilla, do you want Axis to be its captain?
I'll post my opening story when I'm not blasting zombie guts in FSC, being the janitor of Chittering Burrows, or going to church.
We could make something happen that'll steer it off course, like asteroids or an interplanetary defense system. But no, I don't want Axis to be captain, he likes being in power, but with none of the consequences.
The Core will most likely pull the Al'truis toward itself.
I meant something that the knights set up -_-.
Well the Skylark crashed in the same way, the Core pulled it to itself.
@ Thinslayer
Yeah i dont mind cause that app was just for fun anyway. I was just bored.
The knight Serris? Teyailain just broke his back in the first post. . . Do I need to edit this?
I also added the undertaker's costume.
I'm the one you left behind. . .
Dewca, it's fine XD. We all just have different writing styles, all that matters is getting the point of the story across. :)
@Liminori: I had no idea he was even interacting with Serris. Yes, you'll need to edit it - Serris was supposed to be a villainous lieutenant who needs to stay put for most of the story.
The Al'truis will indeed be pulled to the surface (in addition to gravity), but it won't crash the ship unless its engines are disabled.
The Core will be doing the pulling.
Don't even have to edit it. (The knight that did it) Could be anyone.
WHEEEE
Stares at 2 syllable post*
WHY?
Name: Anubis
Gender: Male
Race: gremlin
Personality: He's not very social and avoids talking to people if possible. Despite this, he's surprisingly likeable, and has a strange connection to the wolvers that roam the clockworks. As in social situations, he avoids confrontation in battle, letting his machines and pets do his work.
Appearance: black-furred, scarred gremlin
Bio: He used to live a normal life in Emberlight until one day a group from the Ironclaw clan raided the place, capturing several gremlins. Of the captives, Anubis was lucky: he got drafted into the military for his technical aptitude and skill with weapons. Anubis built several war machines, including flamethrowers, healing wrenches, and Scuttlebots.
However, one day his life took a turn for the worse (again): he was asked to work on Project Roarmulus, A giant pair of gun puppies that would be used to destroy Emberlight and Haven. Anubis obviously hated this idea, and sabatoged it so that the robots would shoot at each other, allowing
them to be destroyed. His masters weren't pleased to find this out, and immediately chased him away and (unsuccessfully) tried to fix it. Anubis now wanders the clockworks, searching for his hometown.
Arsenal: Nightglaive (think Nightblade grafted to a pole), Thwack hammer (as a boomerang), Wrench wand (for backup and building) Frostthrower (acts exactly like flamethrower with freeze, treat as 3*) Dusker (without helm), plate shield
But I'm too busy enjoying the wonder of my new Apple TV and watching Youtube videos on it.
I'll post soon.
Okay guys, if you want to know what Equinox looks like, here is link and click on Equinox. Also, Zen Mode is there as well... http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/78457
This is going a bit slower than expected. . .
I think I might have become obsessed with the two bits of music I posted. . .
Someway, somehow, we've fallen out, Caught in-between my enemies!
Err Thin....Equinox is already talking to Nivian. He was at a camp, so he wasn't close to the barracks
ALSO, you have a pending app request for a Gremlin...
Did Equinox just destroy the Morai mothership? If so that seems a bit too OP. For now I'll just say the Mothership crash landed into Haven.
Gwenyvier
Gwenyvier's final battle armor
Gwen is the incarnate spirit of the Core and its avatar on Cradle. You will come to know her as the story progresses.
Gwenyvier's weapon, the "Myrtenaster"
