The title says it all, Dual Wielding would be a great accomplishment, and also would help those who are having a hard time with certain missions.
I suggest that Every character may already use this ability, but would do it slower if they were not a certain rank.
Dual wielding guns would require 2* clearance, While dual wielding swords would require 3* Heavy weapons would require 4* clearance, seeing as they would be rather. . . Duh. Heavy.
Dual wielding would make both of the weapons count as one. I say this, because it would be TOO op for both of the weapons to count as individuals. Dual Wielding guns would make it so that there is no way to block, Removing the OPness. Dual wielding swords, you can block, with the swords. You also could have a setup similar to the Nightblade. I understand that would also be rather OP, seeing as some swords are really freaking strong. My only solution for that is that using swords instead of shields makes blocking Weaker. Shields can be Dual Wielded.

Another thing, Dual Wielding is OPTIONAL and requires more and more energy based on the stronger weapon's (Chosen equipment's) star level.
1* - 50, 2* - 100, 3* - 200
4-5* items cannot be Dual Wielded, You cannot Dual Wield in lockdown, You cannot Dual Wield Shields and Swords at the same time, Bombs may not be Dual Wielded, Because you cannot Charge Dual Wielded weapons, The only Dual Wield that bypasses the previous rule is Guns.

Leave a comment on what you guys think, and the more comments, the more I'm sure that the GM's would prioritize this.

While we're at it, why don't we just make the Gran Faust 3 times more powerful, the Chaos set with maximum resistances towards everything, and a Polaris that shoots in the same fashion as an Antigua?
Now we understand how bad this sounds, right?

I know that this has often been talked about many times, And that I have no counterattack to that, other than the fact that dual wielding would make both of the weapons count as one.

3 years? You mean 3 times in the last month? Anyways, you might want to take a look at all this. Essentially, this thread is suggested bimonthly on average. Each time, it is rejected because of multiple reasons which you can look up for yourself. Please graveyard this and have a nice day.

@Shotjeer: "4-5 Star Weapons cannot be Dual Wielded" Brandishes are not too strong, so it doesn't matter. Unless you meant the upgraded versions.

I fail to see how a double brandish charge is not op.

As for the rest of your post, what you are suggesting is a stronger version of whichever equipment you are using in exchange for a weaker/lack of a shield. A pseudo 6* upgrade, if you will.

If your proposed dual wielding power exceeds that of the current 5* setups, then what you would have done is essentially made a large part of the game obsolete. Why craft a 5* when you can craft 1-2 of the same weapon as a lower tier for the same or less cost. If that power is lower than 5*, then it is essentially a noobtrap, where you bait people into making equipment they won't be using later, assuming dual wielding requires you to have 2 of the same weapon. And I don't see why you won't, otherwise there would be no cost to having a loadout for dual wielding.

True duel wielding is using 2 weapons, whether they are the same or not, to assist you in combat with their individual usage. What you have here is a buffed weapon that may or may not have animation that reminds someone of wielding two weapons at once.

No, I was referring to the new rule. There are too many restrictive rules. Bombers, again lose an advantage. Dual wielding shields? What? Besides, no one uses shields to block in anything except T3. You do not remove power by removing defense. That's removing defense, not power. Guns gain an advantage they don't need. You haven't explained how they work as one, not as two. There are very few extremely useful guns for 2-3*.

Right now I'm just waiting for the cake to be served.

Alright,

Demonic, You cannot charge dual weapons. Dual weapons would only be raised in one star, and you would require the clearance for that star level to make a Dual of the same equivalant. As for the Noobtrap part- Oh. Yeah, nobody needs this stuff, Seeing as if you have access to the * level you want to make a dual of, it is not needed. Well, damn. I admit, I am wrong in the balance/NEED aspect of it all.

But still, Dual weapons would be cool. I hope that any of this gives the developers an Idea.
Maybe if you have two of the same weapons, you can have an animation that doesn't change the stats. Purely for cosmetic purposes, while ignoring every rule of things that cannot be "Dual Animated"

The only way Dual Wielding would ever work is if it were A: Cosmetic, B: If the 1-5* System were redone.
Cosmetics: Options -> Game -> Dual Wielding (On/Off)
Weapon levels: Too much would have to be said, so No.

Let's review the many things wrong with this thread...

1. No dual wielding bombs: This is extremely unfair toward any bomber out there, such as myself, if gunners and swordies get to do it, we should too.This is biased
2. You can't go past 3*: A tremendously moronic idea in itself, if it's a privilege that Tier 2 can get too experience, then the Tier 3 players should enjoy this as well. This is biased
3. You CAN however dual charge guns: So while pure bombers have no means of defending themselves, gunners can do so in a VERY effective way too? This is biased
The only thing that you have right is the fact that is shouldn't be used in Lockdown, aside from that this is a terrible idea overall

Hey why don't we also make polarises that are double the damage and you dual wield them and they shoot as quickly as the blitz needle! We will make brandises charge time 2 seconds and the range is 2 times longer and it autokills everythinh it touches! Let's also make the wild hunting blade inflict a status for every hit! 50% it would be curse same with the autogun!
