See, I post too much, and then I accidentally let something slip. Which is crap, because the warning doesn't tell me where it was, or anything. I had to go through the last 50 threads or so to find it, and I typed this post, which I was unaware of as being "foul language" in the first place. I would have no problem with changing my post or with them changing my post, but this is a reoccurring thing, and I'm going to get permanently banned for it, despite my best efforts to as Eurydice told me last time- "Have a little faith in yourself, exert some will, and follow the forum rules. :)"

Especially after seeing people that I know have been banned successfully ban evade, I see very little reason to trust the staff here on these kinds of things. I'm not stupid and I'm not trying to go against the staff, I'm just trying to enjoy the forums like I always have for the last 2-3 years or however long. But I guess I can't do that forever, because of the unreasonable swear filter type thing. Might as well just permaban me now rather than wait for me to slip up again. I really should just access the forums using an alt through a proxy. Save myself some trouble.

But I don't have good judgement regarding what cursewords are, and now I'm banned for 2 days. And when I post something bad again, I'm going to get banned perhaps.

And I'm not like, threatening to post naughty language or something, I'm saying that I will accidentally post something that I think of as being "ok" but that the swear filter does not. I can't help it, I was born to be a pirate.

I probably should just kill myself.. there are like, a handful of people that think I'm a decent person, and the rest just want me gone. Not just talking about forums either, for those of you who are all 'oh no Fehzor is over reacting to forum ban' because I totally am doing that but don't want to feed you guys that are complete cravers when it comes to being right or whatever. But for reals, I am the scum of the earth... so why not?

Ok, I'm not some kind of celebrity. Like seriously, I don't know why people sometimes think that I'm like the next Lindsey Lohan, but that's almost as ridiculous as the whole "I SAW A GAME MASTER" nonsense. I visit a forum and answer questios for people and make nonsensical threads that maybe will make someone laugh and everyone else hate me. I'm not part of some sort of exclusive forumer group, I'm not part of the 1% that controls 99% of the Spiral wealth and I'm not in cahoots with the developers or something. Bopp won't even talk to me in game. This is like seeing someone jogging and getting their autograph because of their amazing ability to perform a task. Its ridiculous.

And I don't get why they'd temp ban me from the game either. I guess because its in their guidelines of dealing with people like me to do that.

From what I can tell, there seems to be some sort of a log checking bot of some sort that goes around and makes a queue of all the vulgar words people on the forums say.

I say this because every single time I've let ANYTHING slip, no matter how small, they find it.... but certain comments that are much worse than my terrible vulgar offense seem to magically slip by.... like Feller's glass glove comment. Things like "WT- After E before G please don't hurt me mods" seem to be fine as well, despite containing direct references to vulgarity. The bot seems to allow substitutes for the same word, like "genitalia". This kind of bugs me because of the large number of ways you can use these words and still be incredibly creepy.

This bot also seems to work in conjunction with the game masters or community development software master gamers or whatever they want to call themselves, whom seem to have a standard way of going about each and every "offense".

When Pawn was banned (and it was publicly stated by Rommil or something to everyone before me saying it, feel free to remove his name GMs/CDSMGs) it was said that they "looked at his past offenses", one of which was also a "watch your language!" type thing... but that they do in fact look at our records. I post a lot, and most of my posts are clean of the sort of foul language that would otherwise get me banned, but sometimes I forget. And the next time I forget, I'm likely going to get banned permanently. Which is what I said last time when Eurydice told me off and locked my thread and graveyarded the entire ordeal. Which also makes me angry.

I'm with you on this. I try to be a civilized barbarian on these forums but I've been banned twice for the same reasons..

Apparently things like (number2)load are bad, but they're just a part of everyday lingo as far as I'm concerned.
Couldn't they put a list out with what's acceptable and what not?

If the devs have nothing better to do than prowl the forums for minor misdemeanors performed by honest members of the community, tyen that clearly explains the update problem. Crappy-decent updates, sparsely given throuughout the year and recycled, while they are busy doing dumb stuff like banning people for swearing on a game that is 13+. For heaven's sake, quit picking on honest community members and do what the players want. I seriously don't understand why OOO neglects a stupidly clear win-win course of action like this. Its really sad.......sad, as in PATHETIC.

Game is a good start. Just get people who actually know what they are doing behind the development instead, and all will be well.

.....What's that? Oh right, people already tried to tell them this. And look, they got ignored! Looks like OOO doesn't want to make more money. Shame......a game with great potential, lost in a sea of games with far superior producers who are takin more dough. But whatever, just another rage post passing by...

Not temp-banned twice. The first time I just got teleported to login screen, gave me a warning not to do it and I could log back in.
Second time I didn't even notice because they ban my steam alt (for the fora) and it appeared after the ban was done.

Let me tell you this

Learn from your mistake.

I'm not stupid and I'm not trying to go against the staff, I'm just trying to enjoy the forums like I always have for the last 2-3 years or however long.

If after 2-3 years you can't narrow down foul language then I think you are not trying hard enough.

Also you could've just talk about the swearing filter with your situation (and others) as exemple... I know someone who got banned each months for a period of a year, he stopped insulting every single F2P that asked him for money and he's okay now...

Anyway... you do what you want

When i say "I'm not stupid" I mean that I honestly don't think to myself "I'll curse now! Ha ha ha!" its more like I just say things that I use in my every day language when talking to friends or whatnot and it happens to be against the swear filter... there is a very fine line between what is and what is not a curseword, and believe me when I say I'm trying and it isn't that simple.

how about the person who insult any other players in forum when its related about LD or "AA" or PVE? when insult everyone and never get banned .-. so i dont understand why a GM never tell something to that player, even i remember someone who reported such player for "impersonating" a GM and never got banned in forum.

You're a valuable and constructive forum member. I reckon you'll get short tempbans for as long as it takes for you to learn to watch your language, but you're not going to get a permaban for repeated offense. Not for just the occaisional slip up. (provided the offenses are far enough inbetween) Don't villianize yourself like that.

I'm not sure about that, I've seen several "valuable and constructive forum members" get banned... and I'm all for harsh punishments for everyone, but not for this! It'd also be harder to justify to newer forum-goers... so no, I would not like to be 'valued' or whatnot because I'm the same as anyone else posting on the forums.

I try to make a concious effort in my post to avoid swearing ever since I got a warning a couple of years ago. (I was mad about lag since there weren't any EU servers, I believe.) Because of this concious effort, I'll usually catch myself saying swearwords, and will replace them with things like "frag", "fiddlesticks" and "Brother Tucker". It's fun.

Also, I feel like someone addressed me but I can't really see it anywhere.
