Arcade Suggestion - small one

A minor adjustment to the arcade elevator icons.
I don't know how much the "Arcade Redux" will change things, but assuming that we still have lovely dynamic rotating levels, here's a suggestion to the elevators:
Have the elevator level icons stutter/go static/blink/etc. for the ten seconds before the floor changes, as they lose their connection to the floor.
I know that the clockworks is supposed to be a wonderful, mysterious, big ol' place, but this is an aspect of gameplay that would help teams stick together. I also know a lot of randoms just up and leave the party if the floor changes to something they don't want. Which happens on occasion. It makes me shed a tear, missing that arena or area-that-I'm-searching-for-scenarios in.
Sorry if this has been suggested elsewhere already. I always try to look.

I guess that thing that you see when you have Shadow Lair access LV1 could work. +1

Yes, a map animation would be great. I kind of picture the elevator to be a sort of wonka-vator, since the clockworks are all crazy and stuff. Sure it looks like it goes straight down, but that's just to exit the habitat sphere and so on...after that? Only OOO knows.
A map animation would allow us to know when a level is going to be there, which would kind of defeat the purpose of exploration and mystery and such, but it would still be nice.
The map would have to somehow indicate the current level, as well as icons for the other levels, so players are warned of what's potentially ahead, as it does now in a rather static manner.
A simple linear rotation might do the trick, but it could be more interesting.
What would you have it do?

I'd make a gif, but it's way too late. :(

I've actually thought of something like this before. Don't know why I never posted it though.

I think 10 seconds might be a bit long though, how about 5?

5 seconds is not long enough to say to your fellow derpmates "hey ladies, the gate is shifting, finish up your tea party and get on"

A friend of mine wants to add to this idea a little screen shake + falling debris + a 'CLANK' sound. Personally I like that idea, like a big, old, giant clock.
Shaking screen deactivable in the options menu, like the low-healt one. The debris is only a screen effect.
The more I think about it, the more I like it x3
Holy crap this'd be awesome. Or maybe even have the gate map icons actually move dynamically on the diagram.
