Well, maybe if we say it every month you, OOO, will understand the need for this..
Make an Auction House App for Smartphones..

Make an Auction House App for Smartphones..
Well maybe if I explain to you every month, you might understand the reason why we don't need it.
AH on the go would mean that anybody with a smartphone could snipe items away from their computer, thus giving advantages to white american teenager who owns either an iPhone or an iPod or an iPad over people in Africa.
What it also means is that the AH has to be separated from the original game and have a log-in system that would synch the database to your mobile phone. Also the interface should be remade to accomode phone display.
You following me? Great! Moving on...
After synching the database properly you have to also secure it and code it (obviously). The complexity of linking all this into a mobile apps is beyond the reach of the little crew that is OOO. They have problem delivering new guns to the actual game, you think they could pull this off? How many years you think it will take them? Also when you make an apps, you actually pay people to make this apps, thus costing money. How does an apps that allow you to snipe items from AH will make money to OOO? What is the business model behind it? There is none. The idea and functionnability of the apps vs the payout/reward of it aren't appealing in any way to OOO.
If they do go for mobile, they will probably port the whole game instead of the AH so they could make profit out of it.
Applied logic 101. No we don't want portable AH.
Edit: Although like I mentionned many times and will point it out again. If you do 100% of the work and give it to OOO, they will use it. So why don't you make it so we can all profit from it? OOO is nice but fan-made work as existed for a long time... just ask what db they use (probly sql) and ask for the code so you can transfer it to a more potent code for mobile... no? XD

Spiral Knights is played on computers and laptops.. do you think poor people in other countries have computers? And if this wasn't your point, Credit card owners already have an advantage, so what if they add another one?

No. They would let connection to our main profile, disabling most of the options and possibilities, letting only administrate our arsenal with AH and chat or use email and event menu.. Exactly like gmail can be accessed from either pc or smartphone.. Display's not a trouble: every app is a shrinked mess, but we accepted it..

There are really stupid people working on apps and selling them in stores without a brand and without so much trouble.. I'm sure they can do that too, and Sega would really help, it already have many apps in stores for free and not.. And seeing how email apps work on smartphones I actually believe they didn't spend so much time developing those.. And OOOs are spending so much time for guns in order to balance the impact it will have on the game... and I don't know if you know it, but they haven't developed new gunners armors yet.. They've had enough work with Tortodrones and Horse Year Celebrations and these kind of event are troublesome for the economy of SK, so they're expensive in time developing too.

A too utopistic and uncomfy thing.
can totally see this happening if steam and OOO does a collab otherwise -1
The in-game Auction House is horrendously slow if you have a lot of listings, chances are if alternative access was available through a light-weight app then heavy traders would use that instead. If you have gotten to the end-game point where the primary use of your game time is just pushing money around, then there's little reason to even log on anymore.
Influx of non-playing users->App->crowns->energy->steam trades->???
At least for me.. And I said something about a chat function with your friends and guild members... Basically a SK without clockworks..
Would be awesome!
