Helloooo world! How are the peoples of the internets today?

I'm representing an upcoming Arsenal Podcast discussion again!
You may know that last week, we had a discussion on "pet peeves" in Spiral Knights and asked you guys what you thought.

Now, we're looking for the opposite --your best moments in Spiral Knights.
More specifically, we're thinking of repeatable satisfying situations. We know that there are those one in a lifetime events that happen, like getting triple max UVs on something, but those aren't necessarily regularly repeatable.
What are the things that you can do that might be rare occurrences, but can happen and make you smile (at least on the inside)?

For me, one of those is attacking a Trojan with a Rocket Hammer charge like I did in the Spiral Knights Shopping List Youtube series. I tend to do that a bit now, because it feels really good!

What are your best moments in Spiral Knights? Community… game mechanics… PvP? Be specific!

*Making hella profit off of buying Hallow Stuff for 100 cr or less during Halloween, and selling them for up to 100k or more a couple of months later, because people are too hasty on hitting "Buy Now" instead of "Bid".
*Sniping with Callahan, Valiance, or Storm Driver charges. Especially in Lockdown.
*Running through some of the more fun and memorable levels, like Stygian Steeds, Blades of the Fallen, Silent Legion.
*Using the Rocket Hammer charge on AFK people in the Advanced Training Halls. From pushing them to the traps, to pushing them outside, I always get a bit of a kick with it.
*Fang of Vog is the most fun I've had with an under-used weapon.

This is probably my favorite
Running around with my maskeraith, using invisibility cloak(either ultimate is perfect), having at least one sleep vial equipped, choose a target(most notably a big one), put to it to sleep, uncloak at the same time, blitz/volcanic pepperbox the enemy. That feeling of being a gunslinging kat ninja.

Getting a chain of enemies in a vortex and using the wild hunting blade charge attack.

Maximizing Damage: Early Stages +

I began to understand how to maximize damage between players could work if other players were cognizant of the other's actions.

Early in my days when the lift charged 10 units of mist energy per descent and I lacked Tier Three (T3) clearance, I found myself favoring the Calibur line's charge attack. However, I noticed that the charge's nature conflicted with the priorities of other players. It prevented some players from contributing to the damage because of my sword's knockback. Other knights who were fleeing for safety were also put in danger. Because of these issues, I began to learn how to use that charge with discretion.

Prior to really getting into the feel of my choice weapon, I befriended a T3 (I think) player through conversation about... well I cannot remember back that far. As I came to understand the benefits and deficits of the charge, I was a little curious to see how well it worked out if I adjusted my timing of application.

The same friend and I did a run in the Royal Jelly Palace. Without actually discussing it, we made the most of a two-man team whose charges were different in nature. As he had a sword in the Shockburst Brandish line and my Calibur was still a Three Star weapon, he would disperse the charge attack in the enemy's direction. Thankfully, because the shock stalled the knockback of the Brandish's blasts, I released my charge only after.

With this method explored and repeated, we tore through any opposition within the palace fairly quickly. And certainly, with observation, this behavior carried on throughout the rest of my game play in ways I have not thoroughly observed. I believe that coordinated efforts between individuals for the best results is rather satisfying.

It is even better when it happens intuitively.

Additionally

In Tier Two (T2) LD, I would play the recon. Without prior experience and a lack of trinkets or favorable weaponry, I was at a severe disadvantage. However, that did not stop me from enjoying myself. Occasionally I would enter with the minimal amount of crowns (CR) on my knight to participate in Lockdown (LD). Otherwise, in anticipation of a unfavorable win to loss ratio, I would come with thousands of CR in case things did not go my way, or if I wanted to experiment.

When I finally got a feel for the game, I really started having fun to the point where I thought to myself "Why don't I take weapons that would rarely work and make them work in ways that would satisfy me?" And what I attempted, I was able to repeat on several occasions. Applying a Freeze Vaporizer to a narrow pathway, trap the unsuspected player, charge my Grimtovec, and collect my kill. Between this and tagging opponents with the Toxic Catalyzer's charges but not detonating them were great moments for me when I could succeed in pulling off either tasks.

Being a Vanguard has its perks but it also comes with expectations. On one of my many runs with players stronger than myself, I completed a T3 clockworks run from Emberlight. More importantly, my usual stride to survive paid off when I got the achievement for making it through that tier without fail (death). This opened me up to the understanding that if I could survive the hardest tier without fail then I could do a full clockworks run in the same fashion.

Saving up enough crystal and mist energy for the dive, I made my excursion with allies in a Vanaduke gate from Tier One (T1). Some left due to activities outside of the game itself. Some stayed. And as a result of my strides combined with the efforts of a capable crew, I was able to pick up the achievements Dauntless Delver and Cradle and All (it would be nice to have that achievement or others as a badge in place of the prestige badges we have no choice but to display).

Either way, the proud moment was not the achievement self but gaining the knowledge that I could obtain it.

Heart of Valor

One of my best moments in SK was when I was helping a good friend of mine complete his gauntlet mission. Unfortunately, he died twice and didn't want to waste a spark, so he waited for me to get to the elevator. After defeating all enemies, I proceeded to /sit on my friend. No matter how much he screamed or bit, I would not get up. Until the point where he left the mission.

Perhaps not my best moment from other people's views, but it is one of my personal favorites.

Roughly whenever OOO made a glitch I had a blast... Winterfest, super dash and now free prismatic bolted vee!

Yay for opposites.

It feels great whenever I manage to cure/outlast the Curse status in Lockdown. I'll normally either get killed by my own cursed weapon attack because I didn't react fast enough or get beaten up when trying to escape. Sometimes I've managed to get lucky and I feel that it's worthy of a celebration whenever that happens.

I don't care what anyone says: I really like finding treasure vaults. Even when there could've been a more profitable level, it still feels exciting knowing that I've found one of the vaults.

-The big July 2013 update
-Killed someone in Lockdown with a gun only
-Did stickeys in Blast Network
-Got 69 radiant fire crystals in one full FSC run
-Got poison resistance maximum on my Skolver cap (Sadly, it isn't a Snarbolax helm)
-Took exactly 6 months to completely get my sprite to level 100
-My team made a comeback in lockdown by one point
-Killed a player in lockdown with a rocket hammer charge (Tier 2)
-Got killed by a gremlin in Tier 1, depth 1 (and I'm proud of it)
-Achieved the weapon that I've always wanted before: Gran Faust

My top 10 best moments. (Oh, and I did forget to mention one. That would make 11 best moments)

-Got kicked out of the coliseum 20 times.

1) Doing a guild run to

1) Doing a guild run to become officer, with a good friend of mine (Speedkillerr). The goal was to have the least deaths while doing the gauntlet arena. There was a judge sitting in the corner watching and counting. It was close the whole way and when the dust blew over it was a tie. Proceeding out of the arena Speed walked over one of the traps, (fire I believe) and died. I was given the victory and role of Officer. This must've been around 1.5 years ago while we were in Intense Flame
2) beating Illu in the swords only section of LD records was pretty nice
3) Got 20k dmg with a lvl 7 lion heart blade and lvl4 valiance yesterday. That was pretty cool
4) rolling ctr VH on a brandish
5) Tons of guild stuff ;)

Valiantly battling against a ferocious pair of Spookats in Proto Gear in Tier 3 Arcade Elite on a full party, with everyone else already dead from poor dodging. I managed to fell the first, but the second was too much, and I was overcome.

Meanwhile Dibs and some of her guildies were dramatizing the fight even more.

Me: Lands a charge attack with my sword and consecutive explosion, follows up with finishing combo, dashes away. 1% damage done to Spookat.

Them: Go Penn! Oh you got hit, but keep trying! MURDER THE EYESOCKETS OUT OF THAT THING.

Best Moments

When a new guildie joins and they are barraged with 10+ "Welcome to the guild" messages. I love seeing people welcomed into any new social situation with love and genuine happiness.

When my sister tries to play sk....tis a sight to see. She's learning though. :)

When I get recognized in-game. I love meeting people that enjoy watching stuff that I work on. I'm sure you can relate to this one Lat. ;}

2- I love it when people stop to say Hi , rather than just walking by, even though they see you're blue :)

Last but not the least, spending time with friends and guidies in a GH :) I would have Quit, if it wasn't because of mah Friends and Guildies ^_^

Hmmm...my best moments....

-At the top of the list is definitely that massive party in the haven garden before the second anniversary update, there were at least 200 players all in that one instance (probably more) and everyone was spamming with shouts.

-I know it isn't repeatable, but when that glitch happened that allowed players to fly around in the haven arcade, I had some really good times.

-The final hall of heroes was definitely one that left me with a sense of accomplishment...I had finally reached vanguard F2P and all of the random NPC knights and the characters from along the journey saluting me was a real special touch to that mission, just thinking about it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

1) When I log on and before I even have a chance to say "Hellö ♥ Li☼nHear†s ~ ♥", everyone is, like, "Hi, Mawa" or "Hi, Dragon Princess" or some people get really fancy with their greetings, and other people are sending me private messages, and I've got mail, and people are sending me invites to come help them - and it's all overwhelming and very, very cool.

2) When some outrageous conversation gets going in guild chat, and were all just making each other laugh.

3) When you are playing with a special someone and the two of you encounter a Love Puppy.

btw, do you ever do written interviews? If so, I'd be happy to write out some answers to a variety of questions.

1) opening a flame aura from a nemesis box
2) getting CTR high on a freezing vaporizer mk 2,later on got it to a jack froster, also got slime low on it but who cares
3) got 60k cr from a random stranger
4) got a apocrean mantle of sight by trading a imperial tricone to a random stranger.
umm let me think
5) got a volcanic spiked mohawk for 15k around the same time of the flame aura
6) realized that jack froster i got is worth a whole lot
7) got a part in solotron's spiral animation
8) crafted around 25 5* gear
9) thats pretty much it
10) ps got a prismatic mohawk for 600 energy on that flash sales a minute before it was gone

im still having great moments every day especially knowing im in one of the greatest guilds, Lionheart. :)

Hmm...1. Catching "pros",

Hmm...

1. Catching "pros" in LD, beating on defenseless newbies, with a Sudaruska charge and killing them at the same time. It's too satisfying.
2. Freezing an entire team in LD because either they're not Skolver or aren't rich enough to afford UVs, and then rage that the game is unfair. Bomb carry ftw.
3. Wiping half a level faster than your friend loads (I stopped doing that due to certain bugs).
4. Calling a certain level in Mystery gates, and getting them right (and winning bets with your guildmates in the process).
5. Sparkin' in the middle of a croud of T3 Gremlins.
6. Electron Vortex, Wraith poison needles, and Suda charge deployed respectively, and people getting impressed. Never gets old.
7. Strolling through a certain level with your loved one, and remembering the tree where you confessed your love to them.
8. Completing the first level of FSC in proto with guildmates. WHY CAN'T I BUMP?!
9. Achieveing "Dauntless Delver" not only as your last achievement, but before sunrise (6:59am, so proud of myself).
And 10. Finding that I can still play full keyboard after almost a year of strictly using Mouse and WASD keys. Gotta get in touch with your roots, yo.

Here you go!

Another one was when I was in a tier 2 fiend arena after watching Zeddy's 'how 2 greavers' video. The other people were impressed. To roughly quote one:

"Wow o-o"
"you just killed like"
"A bazjillionmillion at once"

Also the first ever time you plant a troika charge into a tier 1 enemy's face after first purchasing it, and finding that it can indeed one shot anything you throw it at in that tier.
Too bad my Suda still isn't heated past level 5. Curse you low dps swings now allowing me to farm FSC!

-Making a 45k profit buying Confetti on the first birthday event, then reselling it on the AH. That's how I got my first 5-star (that I crafted, that is; I'd already gotten the Dark Retribution and Rocket Hammer before).

-Any time I find a way my weapons work together. Vortex + Triglav = Things Die, but Vortex + SHIVER + Triglav = Things Die and that zombie on the side doesn't manage to knee you in the face.

-In Lockdown, distracting a group of 2 or more players on a point for 30 seconds or more as Recon. Especially if I survive the encounter, or kill one of them, but as long as the other points start dropping and a lot of players are chasing me, it's great.

-The battle room in the video Drachronos linked. Dark Retribution. So many pretty yellow numbers.

@^ That's amazing! Can you teach me how to find a +3 vita in S6? No really, I have never gotten a +3 vita in S6.

-The time I got ASI VH on my Combuster on my very first punch ever.
-Gremlin VH when I crafted my Prisma Driver XD. I told everyone over guild chat and everybody started laughing.
-ASI High on my Acheron. It took me only two punches to get it. Yes, I use 1-UV tickets.
-Hallow Wings, Hallow Parrying and Side Blade from Hallow boxes last year.

I gota say... the generosity of people after starting weekly free SL runs has made me have a new attitude toward the community. I only buy 1 key per week, but so far we've had a chance to do multiple runs every week! All for no charge!

There are some awesome people in the community! Try your best to avoid the gripe threads and enjoy your time in game and on the forums!

=0 all you guys have so many good moments to share, but Imma have to say that the best time I ever had was playing infinite GvG with my bros in aequitas. we had some good times then. like the time Rawr and ice were 1v1ing and I just ran in and finished rawr off with a wrench wand with 1 hit, probably funniest thing I can remember of those times, besides some mexican guy getting all mad at icegill in a GvG and cursing him out, and then Icegill's response was just : "Well taco bell to you too!" man, I miss those times.

I know it's already been mentioned, but I just really wanna drive the point home about Vortex + Suda/Trig.
That picture alone is extremely satisfying to look at.
(I know it's T1 but it's the best picture I've ever gotten of the combo)

Pretty related: doing that to a group of Violent Heart Attack'd enemies, and Violent Heart Attack in general.

Come to think of it, one of my favorite times was putting a pepperbox charge into the back of a trojan and letting it burn to death. Almost as good as when Latisan warhammer charged one. Almost.

It really is a beautiful combo. I don't understand why people don't use it more.

Imagine it with a special-damage suda/troglav. A freaking graviton + shadow troika combo on slimes. I salivate at the thought *-*

2. Grtting 7 ancient items (including 2 vents) for 1 cr each
3. Getting a fancy wolver tail for 50k
4. Getting an extra tall for 100k
5. Getting my first 25k dmg in LD without any uvs and with chaos
6. Geting a free battle pack :B
7. Selling Divine valks for 30kE
8. getting over 30 types usables with a ton of confetti (all types) and fireworks...for 2k
9. Getting a red tabard for 300k back in the day when they were worth 40kE
10. Getting a baleful aura for 10kE
11. Unboxing prisma glow-eyes on my first LB
12. getting shock max on my friend chaos roll
13. So much more, but alas I have to be off...

-Vortexing Deadnaughts away from teammates and stay alive.
-Successfully locking greavers with DBB.
-Going 15 5 5 spamming in BN. (everything filled- blast range, bomb count, movement speed)
-Collecting profits from pet food and Enamorocks.
-Having no idea what to do with that money.
-Getting on CSK elevator with 7% health left.
-Shardbombing Kats.
-Cloaking and fleeing to base after being dominated in LD. I became pretty good at that.
-Encountering a gremlin mender with a Venom Veiler...
-...watching them kill a fellow comrade with the "Heal!" action -looks badass- or spam runes of instahealthfill with the seemingly infinite mana they have.
