also on aurora isles there is this one keyed gate that no one knows where to get the damn key to begin with. i mean how can you open that thing? and i knew about the aurora isles being the oldest. it's kind of a dead giveaway that it looks "older" unlike the treasure area with the coins and minerals.

Most people know how to open that door :)

You know what I noticed?

There are some equips that we see every day that are impossible to obtain.

Look at the NPC knights. They wear what looks like Azure Guardian Helms, Magic Hoods, and Spiral Tailed Helms (and one Spiral Pith Helm and one Boosted Plate Helm), but they're not. The colors don't match. The NPC knights all have the same dark blue/gray/yellow color scheme, and I've never seen this color scheme on a player knight.

I haven't looked at the armor up close, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were different from the standard armor as well.

#10

I want to start off by saying I finally am able to post on the forums. I have been trying many times and eventually gave up. Anyhow, here is my opinion on #10.

He mentions, "However there is one that players see every day that so far as we've seen, no one has ever figured it out. Curious!"

Now here is how I look at it. It must be something players see "every day," which insists it is a guarantee that players will see this. Which means one of two things:

It is in the "Log in screen" or the "knight selection screen,"

or

It is in Haven Town Square near the entrance. No matter what you do, if you log into the game, you will be started at the Haven Town Square entrance. No matter where you logged out from, for however long you were logged out for, (aside from being disconnected), the entrance to Haven Town Square is "in fact" the only part of the game aside from the log in screen that a person is guaranteed to see "every day."

This is assuming they actually play the game "every day." It can't be associated to Steam because not all players have Steam accounts, which rules out anything that early to log on. So it is something from the Log in screen to the Haven Town Square entrance. Aside from that, after the entrance, the player can go to the right or left of the fountain, thus not guaranteeing to see the other side of the fountain at all that day.

IMO, this rules out many other theories, but don't let me be the one to break your hope, I am just stating how it seems to work.

P.S. - What switch in FSC is everyone talking about? I never notice this unnoticeable switch.

P.P.S. - IGN is Noobowns.

What on earth are you talking about? I log my knight out in the Bazaar every day, and that's where I end up when I log back in a day later. I hate the few times I end up logging in at the Town Square because it takes longer to load, I almost never need to use the Auction House immediately, there is absolutely nothing of functional use in the little southern room you start in upon login, and there are more beggars in the Town Square than in the Bazaar.

Besides, the family laptop's graphics card can't handle it, and crashes, freezes or forces the screen to go black whenever my brother goes there on that laptop (we can only do anything about it if it's the "screen goes black" problem, wherein he can still move, albeit blindly. We have to have him steer his way to the Bazaar while looking at my screen to see where he's going. If I'm not home and logged in, he's screwed.) Suffice to say, my brother is completely incapable of seeing the Town Square on his machine, ever. Much less every day. He, like me, always logs off in the Bazaar.

...By the way, for those wondering about the big burly guy standing just outside to the south, he's a Spiral Warden keeping the monsters out of Haven. They're also the guys guarding the entrances to Moorcroft Manor (Tier 2) and Emberlight (Tier 3).

My 2 cents

I think #10 it's about energy. Specifically mist energy.

I mean, every player sees their 100% everyday (24 hrs?). And according to the game, mist energy is given by the Cradle, that casually seems to work like a giant clock (Clockworks anyone?). And what does clocks do? Oh they spins! just like everything in this game.

=)

I made a mistake in my description. I meant after quitting the game, when you start it back up, it starts you over in the south of town square. I dont know about log in, but every time i quit the game, i end up back at the south of town square every single time i start the game back up.

You have to remember that

You have to remember that Nick said "players" not " ALL players" It could be in any level of the clockworks. He also said that it hasn't been figured out from what they can tell.. meaning that maybe someone has figured it out because Nick has no way to tell for certain if someone has figured it out.

I'm lost.

Plz release lockdown already! :P

In Clockworks

Just a thought but there are some rooms gated rooms in dungeons that you like need to hit a switch to unlock (can't think of the exact levels atm, but I've seen it more than once) and there's a button that's pressed on the other side when you open them. Could there be another way through dungeons? I dunno. Just a thought.

Still going on about number 10? I suspect we'll find out eventually... but I admit I have my own theory.

There're statues of puppies in many places, including atop the auction house, as previously mentioned, and all over in the sky island stages. The Roarmulus Twins do seem to imply that the Gun Puppies were made by the Gremlins, but perhaps they were just in the image of these statues--also mentioned before--and the gremlins aren't responsible for the statues themselves. If the statues were not made my gremlins, where have the puppies themselves gone? And... while it may simply be curiousity, who did kill all the kats? ^^;

Basically, what i think is no #10 is the "Spiral Knights" title. You can see that a sword forms between the A of Spiral and H of Knights. That closely resembled a proto sword which you get first thing you start this game. This has been continuing for a long time as the proto sword cannot be disposed. Thus it leads me to ponder that the sword is a secret.

The cog logo also resembles something peculiar, about how cogs are rotating in the login screen, and that these cogs are typically big. I suspect that these cogs are levels that we have and generated and rotate in time so that levels change again and again. We can create our own levels too. It is also stated that there could be "Power Distortions". Power? Electricity! Of course cogs are typically technology and there are also glowing "rooms" inside those cogs. Typically, These cogs are our "levels", with the rooms as well rooms... Crystals here then generate the power needed to run the levels and thus leading to us typically using the lift (which could be why the cogs are held in place with a single rod). How secret =.= teehee

It's either that, or have you noticed it's never night in the Clockworks O_O. Light always shines...

Also, I haven't heard anyone mention the piping in Haven. What do they carry, exactly?

it's obviously about the knights

Seriously, it's obviously about all of us. The knights, the reasoning, the planet and why we're even there in the first place. Why do we all look like "Heartless" from KH fame?

I think it would be amazing if this whole game was an ARG (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AlternateRealityGame) for kingdom hearts. You would automatically say no, but think about it. I'm 99.9% sure that it's wrong, but, that would be amazing. Too amazing.

But yeah, just saying. the main twist is obviously about the knights' connection with the clockworks or vice versa.

However there is one that players see every day that so far as we've seen, no one has ever figured it out. Curious!

I noticed something about the training level:

1) You can attack the drop pod. I haven't been able to kill it, but it does react to attacks
2) There are strange noises that play when you are here and here. If the first noise plays then you need to hear the second noise before you can hear the first noise again. Maybe something activates when you get into that area, but I haven't found it yet...

@terrordeath The piping goes

@terrordeath The piping goes from the gates to someplace off the map or into one of the houses. It probably carries minerals. I dont think it has to do with the piping since if you go into the party lobby the piping is always the same.

I think the secret may be that when you look at what elements the stratums are (i.e. fire, gremlin) stratum 2 has a pipe that connects to stratum 4, 3 goes to 6, and 4 goes to 5. This may have something to do with the gate construction theory

So, someone may have pointed this out already, but I'm not going to sift through 4 pages of comments while I'm at work. Many of you assume too much about #10.

The actual text:
"...There is [a secret] that players see every day that so far as we've seen, no one has ever figured it out."

What many of you are assuming:
"...There is [a secret] that all players see every day that no one has ever figured out."

This could mean that as few as two people see this secret every day. This means that the mystery switch in FSC or something in Moorcroft Manor aren't ruled out. I think that it requires a player action to trigger (hence the "figured it out" part). I have a few theories, but I'm not posting anything about them until I've tried them myself =p.

This doesn't mean the guilty users here are wrong, since I don't know what the secret is either, but you shouldn't rule things out just yet.

By the way, OP, you've got the stench of troll on you for posting #10. I hope you read this: The Game.

Bild des Benutzers Splinter

@corkydouglas

If you're gonna go bit by bit and analyze that sentence and interpret it. Here's how I read it.

Theres something hidden, a secret. It's in the game and players see it everyday. To me this means its right in front of our eyes, pretty out in the open at least to someone who knows what it is and that many many people see it all the time. Its either an area or an easter egg I think, maybe a phrase from an NPC, or an action in game.

That being said I don't think it rules out Moorecraft, FSC is probably a little more of a leap, not saying that button doesn't do something, but I think that could be one of the many secrets, but not the specific one.

To continue as far as OOO knows no one has figured it out. This to me says two things. One that once you do figure it out its pretty obvious that this is what nick was talking about. Two that someone might have figured it out but not realized (this seems less likely) and would mean this secret is subtle (also unlikely).

For the most part I think we are talking places people frequent and not areas that change often, so most likely your haven, or moorcraft etc.

So someone find it already!

Also nick ends with "Curious!" I wouldn't over look that it could have something largely to do with it.

Somehow I just can't bring

Somehow I just can't bring myself to believe that there are still "lots of secrets in the game, many". Even the existence of that undiscovered ONE sounds sort of... implausible. We have been bored a lot and searching for more fun things to do. We tried a LOT of things, the rather strange & difficult things too and probably even most of the stuff that doesn't even remotely make sense - just to see if it does something. So I'd guess, whatever those secrets are: they're buggy. Doesn't show often / almost noone got the random chance of even trying / does only rarely work like intended / maybe isn't even visible with lower detail settings or something like that.

Piral11
Legacy Username
Secrets? Hm...

I'd like to clarify that the button in the FSC has nothing to do with Alpha Wolvers. It is a random chance, and whoever thought that was what the button did, should know that was just a really lucky correlation, however no proof suggests it does anything with wolvers.

Anyway, as corky said, the last clue is being interpreted incorrectly. I'd like to use that FSC button as an example, for instance, every day, at least somebody goes into the FSC and comes across that button. As far as anybody knows, nobody knows the true function. But I honestly think that button has a big secret. It's pressed a lot, maybe by accident people have stumbled upon what it may do; just not looked into it.

Otherwise, I'd suggest Moorcroft. There's a lot of room in there, and that long passageway, but it's locked...isn't it? Seems a little vague.

I also snooped around the game's files, and found the Whitespace music. I haven't a clue where the music is used, as I haven't heard it anywhere. That suggests to me that the secret could even be a special bonus level or something on those lines.

I think that Piral11 has a nice place to find info, in the contents of the file itself. I use the original java file on a mac, if you do just right-click on the game and click "show package contents". As for my opinion on what #10 could be, i agree with the snipes controlling the Strangers. Could the Strangers just be large biologic robots for the snipes to be taken seriously? The Strangers DO sound like robots when they talk to you....

Going back a while, the platforms in the Arcade are just a pre-programmed space for things to be, like how the place to exchange Krogmo Koins was vacant before Blast Network, so transitively the tracks at Moorcroft are probably in that same vein. nick implies that the secret is current and accessable by players at the moment, so my bet is something in Haven or some sort of secret level accessible in the Clockworks, not something in the Core, Moorcroft or Emberlight. It could also have to do with the knights themselves too.

Okay, here is what the #10 thing is.

This has already been posted as another thread, but I feel like it should be used to close out this one. The secret is the Mini-map of Haven Town Square. It's it the shape of gun puppy, but we can't see it. The only way we could see it is if they implemented a Zoom In/Out feature in the game, which I would LOVE to see.
