New milk route opened up! Prepare to get milked gremlin dudes!
September 25 Update - Discussion
As a purchaser of OCH with real money, I love that it is now available to everyone! But it's not "free". Remember, someone paid real money for you to trade crowns for CE (CE sounds better than E, or energy, so I will continue to call it that), and buy OCH. We should not complain about that.
When I bought it, I bought it because it looked like fun, and the bonus weapons for completion looked really cool! I have not once regretted my purchase of OCH. I have played it several times, and often tromp through the first level or two for fun and challenge. It's worth every cent. Mortafire + Ghost marines... fun times. Just watch out, T3 is quite a challenge.
Great update, OOO! Can't wait to see what else you are working on!
p.s.
I'd like to say, for those complaining about how unfair it is for those who paid real money for OCH:
I have purchased several elevator passes over the past couple years, and they only lasted a month!
Is it unfair that elevators are free now? NO! That's my favorite update yet! I don't feel cheated, I feel
as though I supported the company making this fine game.
OCH lasts forever after purchase, please, stop complaining, buy(CE/$) the DLC, and enjoy the game.
The most inefficient energy package is 750 CE for USD2.45, for 306 CE per dollar.
3200 CE divided by 306 CE per dollar is about $10.45 for OCH. That's pretty expensive.
3500 CE is 9.99. Why would you use the most inefficient package when you could buy a package that covers the cost cheaper?
I was just picking a worst-case scenario, since it's kinda silly to buy energy for OCH when you could just purchase it directly.
With the 3,500CE package, it's still about $9. Which is still pretty expensive. (The $100 energy package gives 450 energy per dollar, which works out to about $7 for OCH. So you need to buy 45,000 CE just to get a fair price.) At the Three Rings mandated conversion rate of 8,000cr/100CE OCH costs 2.56 million crowns.
I think it should just cost like 150ce more.... Thats not much....
Even though it actually cost more in real money, You can grind and spend no money in the long run.
Call me selfish but.... I just think they should earn it. Besides that och being is free is awesome so there is no one saying haammer noob like an idiot. However people are gonna grind now and they will kill the arcade again.
Even though I earn WAAY more, my parents always said to make sure i get the best quality of something with the least amount of money.
Energy Cost x (Energy Conversion Rate) = Crown Cost
3200 x (8000 / 100) = 256000
256,000 crowns, not 2.56 million.
To everyone that is complaining about the price, there is such thing as "sales".
Thanks, Hexzyle... I was about to post the same thing about the 2.56 mil.
Wait until the winter sale, OCH will most likely be cheaper. Not that this applies to non-steam users, but at one point OCH was ~$1.75... I picked it up for $3.99, it's worth every penny to me.
@Warp: You missed a decimal place there, buddy :)
To whoever writes the Steam community announcements: I don't know how Snarby has anything to do with a MiG-28, but I like the thought. Though I should point out in case you didn't know that the MiG-28 is entirely fictional. The film used American F-5s painted matte black, while the video games used MiG-29 "Fulcrum" aircraft.
I can't remember why I made this post.
And a small tip, dont buy new games, tehy will get cheaper and maybe go into bundle - no refunds :)
Cant wait to grind ce and buy OCH :))
