A similar idea...

Instead of having real-world (or as well, either way), have weapons that work as a shield and a gun/sword/bomb. The new Tortodrone guns and the shields are a good example of that, but with my idea it would be one weapon, not a gun and a shield. Another example: have a dual wield Antigua except have the left hand one have a plate on the left side so it can also work as a shield. A lance would also be nice, but that might not be two-handed.

    Suggestions
  1. Create Dual-Wield Weapons That have a shield as a guard.
  2. They're separated weapons that all have a shield, but are not a gun, sword, and a bomb at once.
  3. Lances aren't something I've thought about.

Before i start ild like to mention im primarily a bomber main, and our mad bomber needs somthing to make it special compared to chaos, as we dont really see much curse in the clockworks and thats the only difference between them

also as with any duel wielding thread i must state my opinion on shields W duel wield

if a bomber cannot charge there bomb, they are defenceless, atleast a swordsman / gunner can flail there weapon wildly and hope for an escape

shields + duel wielding would have to be balanced as such IMO

duel wield is for dps

normal weps is for burst

OR duel wield sacrafises your shield for more dps

***Ex Bombs: Pulls out (sideways charge, keeps running animations with glow though) 2 different damage type bombs, with 1* less radius than what it actually is for each bomb- maybe even 2*s less (5* bombs would have 4* or 3* radii- probably the latter). After the first plant, like a sword in a swing combo you click again to continue your combo/chain of planting, and it's already charged (because you already charged earlier).

this i could see working, it would give the bomber additional damage or in the case of haze bombs 2 different status effects (shock stun would be evil XD)

the smaller size should only be in place in pvp IMO, because in pve your just going to kite the mobs into it anyways

also in the case off beeing able to charge 2 bombs, it should proaaabably have a negative ctr for putting both bombs on, slightly longer charge for beeing able to launch a burst of 2 bombs

i dont think the 3rd bomb would be a very good idea, bombs weakness is the break between explosions no matter how small, with a 3rd bomb sombody in chaos or mad bomber could probably have bombs explodeing at all times which would be a nightmare to balance, but the explosions at diagonals is an idea ild like to see before i judge

***Dual Crystals: Mini explosions of 2* less range, and significantly less knockback/damage per bomb. Have fun my crystal bombing buddies! Just spam the helk out of these, for lower damage && TONS OF FUN!!!

this would be gloreious to watch and you could possibly increase the suction power of the hole aswell, it would prove interesting at the very least

**Dual Dark Retribution: The normal DR has 2 sets of spinning damage orbs, just make it so that instead of have such a big radius for the spinning orbs, you can create 2 sets of smaller (2* less versions) spinning orbits, where they deal damage according to the one you planted. I'd say make it a poison/dark damage weapon that does less damage than the obsidian crusher. The poison mini-bomb will do normal damage.**

i have absolutly no idea how to work that XD

as a user of a CTR max DR (well mad bomber set ty) duel weilding this bomb wouldnt be efficent if done like that althought the poision would be awesome

what could be done, is have the very center of the bomb(s) as a sorta singularity, causeing constant damage to anything in the direct centre at an extremly fast rate (simiilar to beeing bopped by both outside orbs)

or it could be treated similar to the first suggestion allowing you to plop 2 out in a quick burst at the cost of a slightly longer charge time, this would need to be balanced for damage ofc as a shred zone like that made by 2-3 peopel, each dropping 4+ bombs within the time of there spinning would be impassable by bassically anything XD

please forgive me for any spelling mistakes its late here and i cant be bothered fixing them

Necromancing because of relevancy (I've seen dual wield threads)

Sorry I didn't respond to a comment here earlier, but I got annoyed because of how little attention has been given to balancing as a whole (why not just have 1 major update on balancing), and so I stopped posting here. I also became inactive when I realized that in order to really be good end-game I have to rely on specific weapons (which are not my playstyle), to do well in-game (ex: Carrying new players/ guildmates through Vana).

Grim-Fate was the only real bomber I had put their input on this thread for that topic, but as he stated Dual-Wielding is for DPS. Thus I'd rather not give a CTR Reduction to Dual Bombs, since the idea is to spam them.

For the Dual-Blast bombs, I suggested the third bomb since the idea of the blast bombs is to just have a ton of explosions, maybe in exchange for the third bomb, make the dual-blast bomb radii smaller than other bombs?

Dual-Vortex (I mislabeled as gravity) having a larger vortex may be a bit OP. Thoughts?

Still need help on Dark Retribution. I also didn't quite understand his suggestion.
