Yes, Blueflood was one of the "nicer" people on the Coliseum forums. But that doesn't mean he's quitting because everyone is being mean. Also, RIP implies he is dead, which he most certainly isn't. Please remember there are real people behind the knights. IMO, it's kind of offensive to say RIP to someone who wants to quit playing a game.
Adding on to what Bopp said, real rage quitters don't make fancy going-away events. Blueflood probably realized he needed to devote more time to real life stuff and wants to leave the community with a bang.

But of course, it was his decision in the end, and we're just better off being supportive and hoping that he's doing well with his family for the future.^^ Those who were connected to him will miss him, which is anyone who was greatly associated in the LD community, or took part in one of his free SL runs. I was granted the opportunity to do three of them, and one in which I got to chat with the guy. I must say, him and Sam Adams are best buds too.

Normally RIP carries a different message than literally "rest in peace". Otherwise, we should all go around "RIP"ing people instead of saying "good night, sleep well". In the context of someone saying they are quitting, it is rude to focus on the supposed 'death' of their character rather than the future of the person. For example, when somebody retires from the armed forces, you don't "RIP" them, you salute them for their service and wish them well.
Your post makes it sound as if he was coerced into getting his account deleted. "Poor Blueflood" for what? For deciding to spend more time with his family? Your OP casts him as a martyr for some noble cause that you're part of while the rest of us are ignorant peasants.

Anyway, Blueflood is a great man, and I'll miss getting headshot by him in Lockdown. I was there to see how he grew more and more frustrated and I'm sad to see the results of his agony. Alas, PvP is a toxic pastime. If you can't deal with the plethora of styles, turnouts and people then you may find yourself in a similar position as our dear friend here.
I hope that leaving this game will ease his mind so that he may not forget the good things in life. Letting the musings of an online competitive community ruin you would be a most tragic fate indeed.
