I use a chromebook buts its for school and the teachers blocked mediafire D: Do you have a download anywhere else?
Elemedals! (SpiralKnights-inspired fangame)
I can also put it up on Dropbox, if you can access that.
If you know exactly what this came from, and what the context is, you'll know what I'm making next.
"Look out baby, incoming mail!"
EDIT: For clarification, it comes from a show that originally aired in the mid-60s and early-70s. I realized that the vagueness of the line could've ended badly.
Yeah, I can access dropbox. Please put it on there. Thank you.
Took a while to upload, but here you go!
It says some operations are taking longer than expected...... wut does that mean?
I...really don't know. What says it? An error dialog? An in-game dialog?
Hmm, could you send me...um...I don't even know how to word this!
Keep in mind that I zipped up the game. You might have to unzip it first?
If you've already done that, there should be a stderr.txt (or something like that) in the package folder for the game. If you can get to it, great! I don't know what to tell you if you can't. :S
I really need a Mac. Do you happen to have something else that can run the game? Could you run in on the computer you play Spiral Knights on? You might have better luck there.
Yeah, that might not work either D: My Mac is so old and crappy the only things it runs well are Minecraft and SK. Now it says the Archive format is not supported or the file is broken
Ah...you might want to...
Oh, I know! What version of Mac do you have? (Probably in some 'about' button somewhere.) The Frogatto team tells me you need OSX 10.10 in order for Frogatto to run. This is because Frogatto depends on a newer version of OpenGL* than earlier versions of OSX provide. Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to install OSX 10.10 on your hardware, if it's as old as you say. :S
And, now that I look, Spiral Knights requires OSX 10.5, meaning it uses a reletively outdated OpenGL? No wonder it's on the slow side...
Anyway, I'll have to put a note or something saying that you cannot play the game on OSX 10.9 and earlier. Sorry. :<
*OpenGL is the graphics library. It would be hard to play the game without that!
There have been a ton of commissions threads lately! Just posting an update.
I'm working on better knockback mechanics. I'm not using Frogatto's knockback system because it has an odd setup: knockback only gets inflicted if the victim does not flinch. Not exactly what we want!
So far it's set so that attacks can have variable X and Y knockback values. (So, say, BAB could launch enemies skyward if we wanted.) I'll refine this a little more. Programming this stuff is actually pretty easy, now that I'm getting the hang of it!
Also, on demos, I'll try to get a new demo out...ehh, every month? I also want to do livestreams before long. Probably every other weekend. (I think I already said this.) Finally, I will be a tad more busy than normal because I've taken up a bit of a part-time job for a neighbor. Once everything is done, things should return to normal.
I didn't mean to exclude this...
Just.. Well.
Empty vault.
.-.
Okay, posted new release! Note that I'll only be posting releases from here on. You can still download versions, but that's only needed for developers. Like I said, I do hope to have a new release each month. The semantics really don't matter much, just giving things their proper titles.
This is February's release, btw. And see OP for link.
EDIT: And thanks for the bumps! No hard feelings, Liminori. I probably didn't need to say what I said before. xD
EDIT2: To clearify what has changed since the last version:
- I have revamped Pivot's jumping mechanics. It should feel more fluid now, and less glitchy.
- I have added my own knockback system. This is crucial to many mechanics. Of course, now the Gunpuppy glitches a little when you attack it. This is just something else I have to fix when I continue working on knockback.
- I have added the basic bomb physics object! You can spawn bombs with the 'd' key, although they appear at a fixed point of the level right now. (Keep in mind that you may have to edit the level with Ctrl-E to keep the bomb from falling to a pit.) At this time, the bomb is only a physics object.
- I have removed the Spookat from the level. They're still in the game, they just don't function as enemies yet.
- Other things which are too minor to mention or I forgot about.
Enjoy! This is the version I'll be showing the people and testing the game with, as per Extra Credits' advice. (Speaking of Extra Credits...)
I tried to run on Windows 7 but it indicates that the game isn't responding. The computer have OpenGL 2.1.
Sorry, I meant to post sooner but I got a nasty cold and forgot about this (and a lot of other things) for a week.
If you can find file called stderr.txt or stdout.txt, it would help if you posted it here. (It would be in the folder with the .exe that you run the game with.) If you can't find it, is there a black window with text that opens when you run the game? That might have some helpful crash info.
I hate to say that progress has been lacking. (Due to aforementioned cold.) I have, however, made a really cool looking Kat. With shades. I need to show it off.
The picture: http://1drv.ms/19xx4Zu
I can't find stderr.txt and stdout.txt and there's a black window when I run the game. You can see it on the picture.
It's difficult to see it, because it's covered a bit by the front window. If you wish, I could try getting the Frogatto team in on this. They might ask you for a certain file or to look into stuff...I'm not sure.
What I don't get is the last option you have. ("Depurar o programa," meaning "Debug this program"?) I've never seen that. I might have to fiddle in Anura and then get it to crash like that, and see what Windows 7 does for that. I know Windows 8 lacks that option.
I think I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm using the bleeding-edge version of Anura, so I don't think the game will run for everyone. When the next stable version of Anura is released, then I'll stick with that, and everyone should be able to run the game. Until then, sorry if you run into difficulties.
EDIT: Daw, he's so cute! Especially when he...uh...does that thing...to his face... I think I made him more creepy than I meant to...
Say, which one do you guys like the most?
Oooh...oops...wrong thread. Haha! This is the right thread. Could the GMs graveyard this?

@Lasershield
It looks like your issue is the version of Mac you're using. Could you upgrade to the latest version? (I'm told it's free.)
I'm also told that some old hardware is not able to upgrade to the later version. If that's true for the laptop you're trying Elemedals on, then it should run on your newer Mac.
Also, thanks for trying the game! I appreciate you helping me make sure it can run.
EDIT: I lied. You need Mac OS X. (Or 10.10, if it isn't the same.) You don't need the latest.
