There won't be a "gunner update". That name is burned. There will also never be a giant, world changing update. That's technically just going to break things and a big no-go in terms of marketing.

I do hope the arcade redux gets released before the gunner update - could live without GU ever happening, and that's speaking as a gunner. Arcade redux has a lot of potential to bring back many of the older players who quit/draw in a bundle of new players. I just hope that the devs provide a simple "still working on it" to reassure everyone that the content is still on its way, even if it'll take another year to launch.

Theres also the undocumented Art Update, a lot of the new costume armors use the high detail hands.
If you look at the promo art for the Platinum Lockbox, you can see that the rearpouch and doublebelt models have increased detail, most noticeable on the hands and feet.
Also, I don't know about you, but I don't remember so many banners hanging about the world before either.
They really should log tweaks in the patch notes.
The gunner update will be out whenever it's ready to be out.
The most we can do is wait. Or invest heavily in SEGA then pretty much demand that they do something about the update else you'll stop investing.
Plus, you know, I can't imagine a team of game developers going to an 8-hour work shift and not work on what they're being paid to work on.

At first OOO will undress everyone and put their clothes into the boxes.
Just get SpiralSpy, look through the files and you'll see new things that prove OOO are working on the Arcade Redux and Gunner Update. There is an open [REDACTED] file that could be part of the new Tier 3 boss, too. Plus, test servers were open a few weeks ago... or a month ago..? I don't know, but there you have more proof showing that they are working on bringing this huge update to the game.
PLUS, they have only 2 coders. You expect them to make a huge update so fast with only two coders? Have some perspective.
I am sick of the "2 coders, pls be reasonable" argument. It's just idiotic to this point. You lack workforce? Then go freaking hire people, it's that simple.

No, I am not a coder and I will never be. And people in OOO know their job very well, yet they still waste this game potential even when they are supposed to know what to do and what not should be done.
@Swift, to add on to dragneel, the reasonability of having 2 developers are based on their productivity and sustainability.
We don't know what's going on behind the walls, how much fixed salary the developers are earning versus their actual productivity. So we can't exactly say right now that it is reasonable for OOO to continue to prolong this charade.
As for sustainability, OOO should indeed hire more people because sustaining an MMOG such as SK is an obligation that OOO should take, and for SK to sustain it requires timely updates (which we are not seeing).
So it begs the question, is it reasonable?

Last I checked, you don't need Steam to use Spiral Spy, just need to have Spiral Knights installed.
I don't use Spiral Spy myself so I can't say from experience though.
I don't know how to Install SS because there was no instructions for it that i could find. :(
just drop the Spiral-Spy.jar file into your spiral knights folder and then you are ready to go.

It can have the core missions, and the gunner update and the swordsman update and the bomber update and the dualweilding update and the dual gunning update and the dual bombing update and the mixedweilding update and the half-life 3 update and unicorns and the vog boss and a time traveling machine, but I doubt that this game will survive with just promos for another year.
Btw i used to play SK on windows XP along with spiral-spy and it has nothing to do with whatever problem you might have with it, looks to me that you're just lazy or really bad at moving a file.
