Arcade Dead content ?

After lots and lots rage threads I have decided to post something usefull.

After playing this game for like 2k hours. I have come to my sense off what this game lacks and should be changed into.
There have been some updates that were good for a lot off players but bad for the in game content.
2 years ago when Missions were introduced a huge group off players went from the arcade to the mission panel. Many know this new players don't.
What this issue brought with it is that It took away the meaning to explore the depths off the arcade. There was no need to hunt down towards the bosses.
Since you could choose the mission and instantly spawn at boss missions, Not only that the recipes became more useless for basil at depth 23.
Because Hall off heroes came along with that mission update. Arcade is now mostly dead content its not rewarding enough for the players.

Players should go hunt for rewards be thrilled and need satisfaction to invest more time in the arcade.
Why should players invest time into the arcade and get like 6k max investing so much time while they can do just FSC and get around 11k with tokens?
What this game also lacks is competitive game play there is no competition. PVP is one off the most important aspects off any game players seek competition so they can show their skills.

There should A FFA Deathmatch inside Spiral Knights. With good rewards. So people should invest time make it worth that they did so.
A Never ending Arcade with unlimited depths I know it sounds insane but it will attract some players to the arcade. Highscores that has meaning in the game.
Instead off making promos all the time It there should be diffrent boxes inside those green boxes and red boxes another thing that can make cosmetics worth opening and selling. Just some ideas That I came with I know many won't agree some will. You can get your ideas here aswell. This game needs more attention and that can only be done with the community.
One guy can be a hero but we all can be legends so let us all unite and be strong.

Promo cosmetics: Just make

Promo cosmetics: Just make models reskins or even better use models that are already in game as cosmetics (Constructs, gremlins)

Actual content update: Implement new mechanics and balanced stuff, test, lotsawork to do

That's why we're only getting promo cosmetics updates now, pretty sure the SK dev team is incredibly small right now seeing as the game isn't so much popular so they won't be able to do that much.

That the arcade does pan out better than any mission?

Infinite arcade sounds pretty sweet though.

Some ideas

Although arenas, graveyards and treasure vaults are lucrative, the most rewarding is still farming KoA. So to make sure people go back into the arcade this should be either limited or less rewarding. This could be done by for example:
-Limit rank missions to x times a day
-Add a loot penalty for replaying missions, that would increase every time you play it (and eventually reset it one time a 1/2 weeks.
-Add a crown or energy cost for replaying missions often

This would still not fix the whole problem however, since everybody would just start at the beginning of tier 3 of the gate that features FSC, speed run stratum 5 and get to FSC. To make sure people really start exploring the arcade again, there would have to be a huge increase in randomness for the arcade, like being unable to see what depth features which levels, much faster changing gates to make sure it's not possible to create a database with the details of the levels and maybe even randomized depths (2 stages on 1 depth, skipping or returning 1 depth, etc.)

SK is definitely a game that deserves to be updated, and I do believe the devs that they are working on new content. Lets just hope it will arrive soon!

I always grind the Arcade. More to say, I can't understand those people who do FSC again and again. It's incredibly boring to go through the same levels and kill the same monsters that spawn at the same spots with exactly the same number of hits delivered by the same gear. *yawn* Death out of boredom guaranteed.

Thus, never worry. We the Arcade-goers do exist and blossom.

I bet you like challenges like me, and many other do so aswell. So infinite depths is attracting to many to those who want to test their skills.
Also Imagine a Infinite Depth Highscore The player with the highest depths explored. Dang the challenge would be awesome and competitive.

FSC can be boring as you play it only for the rewards, there should be more meaning in this game other than grinding FSC. And some players do play arcade but its not enough.

Actually, next time you're online, just open the party finder and take a look. You will most probably see what I saw: 7 parties in the field, one of these being KoA, and the other 6 being Arcade runs.

Three Rings took out mist so you can just open the missions UI and select gates without needing to go up.

You miss out the point the further you go and explore the harder it becomes, More challenge and skill needed and at later points more teamwork. Or if you want to be a brave one you can solo it as far as you can go. And if they release some kind off high score with it then it would be more competitive to see skilled players at the top.

Right now PVP AND PVE has not much meaning. It could be better then where it stands now.

You can be right on that, But I also went in to those parties and most off those players aren't wearing 5* gear yet or don't have the requirements for a succesfull vanaduke run.

Because I have been on that road as well. Once you unlock the 5* you would do something that rewards you more then just something that takes way to long and isn't even worth actually doing.

For example D19 is just plain waste off time.

Doesn't have to be increased enemies, There are other ways to make depths more difficult.

Like mixing more enemies trough the depths( Shadow/Elemental/Piercing/Pure Normal Damage) . Different elements mixed, Mini bosses, Adding more danger traps. Maybe Guns/Swords/bombs only depths. Restricted Gear, Or negative penalties to make it harder on the player. Those are my ideas I can come up with.
