Was because of the healing thing? Was it abusable? If so, how was it abuseable?

@galax
'yeah'... 'yeah', YEAH? YEAH!
@OP
OOO just decided to remove the shrine of slumber due to the fact that sleep status was imbalanced, lol, they have no idea how to balance the game, so why don't OOO just bring sleep back, this game can't be anymore broken than it is right now...
Think of sleep like freeze traps - you get tagged by sleep once, the enemy hits you, and suddenly you're asleep again. Even worse than that though, sleep had no interaction - at least when you're frozen you can attack/shield, but with sleep you're just a sitting duck waiting to be status locked.
That is why sleep should stay within the shrine of slumber, just like how curse stays in the graveyard and the BK event. OOO should make sleep into a novelty status, kinda like curse, a status that can virtually screw you over at the worst time by locking down your entire arsenal for an enitre minute.
Wow, that's gotta be the most stupid reason for banning a status. The fix is simple:
If (sleep timer == 0) -> set sleep timer
else -> do nothing
A player who reacts fast enough would be able to get outside range before being put back to sleep.
Well, Sleep was originally supposed to be a status that knights had to use carefully. It provided a way to completely stop monsters from attacking (until you attack them) but healed them at the same time. I'm guessing in the end, it was simply outclassed by other crowd control statuses such as stun, freeze, and shock.
Also, sleep is for the week.
Sleep was a bit broken, yes. There was many reasons for its removal, one of which was healing. (Like, you'd kill the giant sleep-jelly and stand in its mist. You'd go to sleep and heal all the way.)
I do agree that it should be re-included, and do not see exactly why its removal was warranted.
Tell that to my gran faust.
So I'm guessing its inclusion in the Jelly set is just to remind of once was...
But seerusly, remove Sleep, add MSI :3

Old post is old but this should explain why it was removed. Though I completely agree that after some reworking, it should be re-added into the game at some point.
Sleep is quite interesting for a status effect. Being beneficial and irritating is a questionable combo.
Poison and Sleep would not be fun, that's why.
(On a side note, the only reason users want it to be re-added is because it existed before. There will be a lot of complaints if it is brought back to its former glory.)
Yeah.
