So.
Where should I begin?
The Tales of Yore, so often told- It feels like someone plays a repeated tape inside my head. Once you hear it one time, the same is true for everything else... Normally.
Behind my back, a paused copy of "The Desolation of Smaugh" on the Tv, "Arcanum", "Harry Potter", "Tithe" I have all sorts of links to fiction, And so it seems normal to me, having Elves and Dwarves mucking about, Dragons being boss, and towns and villages being pillaged by orcs and goblins.
Normal.
---
Partional details listed below
---
An ancient, knobbly elder leans back in his chair, the room darkened- The only thing lighting the room is a fireplace- Smoke and embers trail off into the air of the room. He leans forward, catching your eyes.

"On such a night as this, I would imagine you would want a story. How would you like a story, passed down many generations, from father to son to son, and on?"
((Silent MC syndrome (Not really)))
"As you wish.
It is the Rise of Almire, before the times in which the knights of Isora roamed about Cradle, Before (Insert Morai Homeworld) was a part of Cradle.
Once, there was a foolish King, Naive and ambitious. . . His plans, his promises of great wealth and power- Enticing, and as wise as a snake.
One day, Tragedy befell the King, and his daughter was snatched away from him- By the Great and Powerful, The Malicious and Blah Blah, the list of names go on; Harveld the Dragon.
This is the story of the Prince, and his ragtag team of Mercanaries and what-have-you, In a noble quest to take back the Princess."

"But all is not as it seems. . ."

"I'm looking at you, Midnight. No offense."

That ^ made my day... er, night. xD

Name: Rion
Gender: Male

Equipment: Incredibly expensive and fancy clothes. Cloth of gold, silk, furs, he's got it all. He carries a lengthy dagger, with a Maiden's Tear embedded in its ivory (or whatever substance the Almirian set is made from) hilt. To be more precise, he wears thickly padded clothing, made in the colours of red and gold lining with the same fur shoulder guard, except on both sides, as the armour. He also wears a crimson silk cape, brandishing the symbol of Almire, high quality leather boots, and fur-lined leather gloves.

Race: Human

Bio: Rion is one of the richest merchants of Almire. He spent many years building up his fortune, and by no means can one say that it was done in the most honourable means. His cleverness and insight allowed him to find money where there was nothing, and to make profit from essentially useless objects. Though he carries a dagger, he probably couldn't very easily kill somebody with it, directly. He is no mere merchant, however. He is well taught and knowledgable, as well, he is beginning to take interest in politics, especially that of rumours from the castle...

Personality: He is calm and calculated, not afraid to crack a joke in almost a cruel tone, if he wants. He often points out seemingly obvious things, as his way of helping people out. He is intimidating at first glance, but can be surprisingly dulcet; if that's what he needs to be.

Almire!

Name: Leo Teou

Gender: Male

Equipment: Ironwood Medium Crossbow, Dagger, chapeau, light leather armor, reinforced rectangular shield.

Race: Half-race, born from Elf and human.

Bio: Leo grew up on the streets of a town under Almire and learned to survive on his own. His mother was always sick so he had to find the money to get a cure or medicine. He learned to steal, to pickpocket. He was a natural at it, and was never caught- until his mother found out. He joined the military and became an Archer. Leo was out on a raid when his unit was ambushed, half of his comrades died and he quit the military. He went back to pickpocketing and then became a mercenary, quietly doing jobs that required stealth.

Personality: Leo is quiet, but he does put in the occasional word. He likes to read, and brushes up on his aim every once in awhile. Leo doesn't like arrogant people, as he believes that is why his unit perished all those years ago.

!!!

(In my own defence, my side stories never once collided with anyone's character progression, things like Affraiel and Saboteur's flash backs were meant to develop my own character as well as establishing one hell of a back story. Affraiel started off as just some crimminal on his way to redemption and he turned out to have mother who is still alive till this day and Affraiel will go to hell and back just to have his revenge against his mother for abandoning him at birth. Saboteur on the other hand is a survivor from an old RP who is still haunted by the foes he thought he defeated in the past. Surprisingly how I can build up a character across multiple RPs, I don't think anyone has done that, ever...)

But for this time, a new character has arrived!!! Jokes, this is just a Rule 63'd Affraiel... rolling with an orcish skin...

Name: Affraiuel Stomprage

Gender:female

Equipment: heavy plate mails, ancient plate shield before it was known as that, stone great axe

Race: Orc (WAAaaaGH!!!)

Bio: Affraiuel was a powerful female orc chieftess from the far east Almirian empire, she stands at 195cm, dwarfing pretty much any human male in her presence. Being the orc that she is, Affraiuel dislikes anything related to elves, that will include Leo. She travelled across the kingdom of Almire to look for a good fight and eventually stumbled upon the almirian prince (whose name we do not know), knowing that she may get a chance to slay a dragon, Affraiuel happily joined the team without a second thought (Do orcs think twice? Nah), a dragon skull will look good on her breast plate and will certianly improve her status as a war chieftess. As for the princess, Affraiuel asked the prince if she could eat her if she turned out to be ugly and the prince declined this notion almost immediately.

Personality: head strong, brash and loves a good fight, despite not liking human and elves all that much, but whenever there is a young and beautiful female in the group, regardless of her races (Can Orcs be beautiful? LoL!) Affraiuel will become very, very Jelly.

OMG, MDJ, HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO PRONOUNCE THESE STUPID NAMES?

Simple:

Affraiel -> Affray - eel

Affraiuel -> Affray- yo

Elzilia -> El - Zi - Lea

Xindis -> X - Inn - Dis

Avalan -> A - Va - Lan

Gerallax -> Garl - Lacks

Apologies.

I had to make this RP when I had thought about it- Canon, but not Canon at all.
The accepting of apps may be slow, due to the fact that this was made during midnight (No puns here) As well as that I have to do a fundraiser for a trip to DC. Yay, obligatory stuff.
I will try to accept what I can with what time I have.

App

Name: Orthus Thunderling

Gender: Male

Race: Elf

Equipment: elvish lance bow, chainmail, elvish guardian helmet

Personality: Constantly cheerful, never afraid of what is to come and he always lights up a room with his corny jokes.

Bio: Orthus's real life starts at 13 (Because his life was standard as a child) when he joined the royal guard. He was highly skilled with a bow and was famous for his twin knife combat, this led to him quickly climbing the ranks of the guard.

When he heard the princess had been kidnapped he immediately signed up to go save her. He was picked in less then a day. He loved the idea of adventure and he was excited to meet the others who would be joining him on his quest.

Okay...

@Hexzyle/Hexlash: And the first character is a reasonable type. Goot; Welcome to the Fol- I mean uh... Your character is accepted.
@Colray: Stretching the boundaries for equipment, but okay. Accepted.
@Midnight: I understand fully well, making an in-depth background isn't something that you want to do all of in a Bio, so it's okay to make story, It does not collide with the story, Just interupts slightly. Keep it to a minumum, Okay? Accepted.

Ember-Break's picture
Ember-Break
Name:Min Rhosan [Pronounced

Name:
Min Rhosan [Pronounced "Mm-in Row-sahn"]

Gender:
Unknown due to equipment, so I'll be using "it" to address Min's gender.

Equipment:
Min uses nothing but its own body while attacking. For this reason, Min has iron layered grids on its fists, legs, and shoulders for painful-impacts. The layers looks sort of like square-cut fence slices piled over one another until there is no way to see below them. Needless to say, each layer is thin as to not become too heavy, and behind the layer that would connect with Min's skin is a soft layer of wolver fur.
The helmet itself actually has no eye-holes, as Min doesn't use its eyesight when in combat. The helm itself looks Garl Vinland's helm but without the plate-like thing above the face plate. Instead, the top is covered by a chain mail hood which extends to about brow-level.
Min's chest is covered by wolver-hides with the appearance of leather bindings. This wrap is dispersed across Min's entire body. Over the wrap, however, is a chain mail weave, darkening the color of the wrap -- making it sometimes confused as Min's actual skin color. The binds are just loose enough to allow easy movement, while concealing every inch of its body.
Arms and legs are covered by what appears to be thin rings at tad larger in circumference than what they're covering, each woven within 1" of one another using thin chains, connected to Min's chest-mail. When asked what they are, Min usually replies "... It's ceremonial."
Iron wrist guards and boots with small engravings are over their respective areas, beneath them, like the iron-grids, is a layer of wolver fur to add cushioning.
A silver silk-like scarf with interwoven silver threads hangs around Min's neck, it would be about 5' long if unfurled, but is wrapped so that the only handing part is behind Min, and reaches its waist area. On each end is an emblem that is unknown to all who examine it... Rumor has it that the emblem changes its appearance from person to person. But it's rather that an iron ring about the size of a fist was placed on each end, and the emblem shifts and twists within the thin circle, making it "change appearance".

[I'm probably going to be called for being too detailed (as it was called to be generic), but the gear itself isn't all that special, with the exception of the helm and engravings on the wrist-guards and boots. The scarf is something that could possibly be used by the story, but that's up to @Liminori. It's quite fashionable.]

Race:
Unknown. Considering Min's height of reaching a scant 5", most guess it to be either part Goblin or Dwarf... But its thin stature throws the guesses up. It's a complete mystery.

Bio:
Min wasn't born in the capital, it just one day appeared and made its residence in what can only be called the "underground fighting arena" found deep within the city's sewers. Due to Min's prowess in hand-to-hand combat, it didn't take much time for it to become one of the favorites in combat. But Min never initiated combat, not even once. Even in the beginning, Min only got involved with the fighting and hidden betting when it was literally pushed into the ring against a half-giant. But neither the giant nor the sneering crowd knew that Min could move as freely as the wind blows.
A couple of years have passed since then, and Min only participates to gain enough money from the fights to obtain the necessary amount of food, and stores any extra to "Perform the necessary rites."
It is by coincidence that Min heard of the quest to save the princess while choosing bread to buy from the common market, but it was no coincidence that it immediately ran to join the cause, literally dropping everything it was doing to get to the team and offer its services to the cause.

Personality: Min isn't one to talk... At all. And during the scarce conversations that can be had, Min's words are usually very muffled due to its helmet, which Min never takes off, even if it's sleeping. The only time Min really speaks in a clear tone is while practicing whatever religion it seems devoted to. During prayers, Min's voice can be heard clearly, as if its helmet wasn't even there. Despite Min's regular silence, its actions are kind; it tries its best to stay out of combat, and assists anyone that is in need of help, even if it would prove detrimental to Min's life.

Aside: Most ceremonies involve a simple two minute long verse, and an offering of food which always seems to disappear the following morning.

EDIT: Point Allocation & Snazzy commentary

Strength: 5 (Min's kinda strong. I guess.
Dexterity: 9 (Walkin' around blind ain't no joke, yo. Gotta be a ninja.)
Constitution: 4 (Min's a lightweight, and is small compared to most)
Stamina: 7 (Sometimes, you've gotta starve yourself until the perfect bread is made. Sometimes, you've gotta wait while fighting off 6 thugs at once)
Charisma: 0 (He's literate, but he's not one for conversation. At all.)
Wisdom: 3 (Good at discerning locations of the area/others/movement, but that's about all for how "wise" it is. It says poetic stuff from time to time, though.)
Intelligence: 2 (Min is a fighter, not a scientist. But it knows basic math n' stuff.)

I'll try!

Name: Kathleen, (the Royal Thrall) <-If you're okay with what I'm going to put up

Gender: Female

Equipment: Composite Crossbow (Ironwood); Steel Cuirass; Steel Pavise (siege-type shield made to be set down and used as cover); Steel Greaves; Steel Vambraces; Trousers and Shirt; hood <---all cotton; Leather Glove (right hand, covers thumb and index finger only); Steel Boots; Steel Facemask

Race: Human - Thrall - A product of forces unspeakable, thralls live without age, though their limited self-control allows them to be dictated to do the most dastardly things, if the owner so desired. They can be of any race, but in order to create one...well, that's the thing : there's no known way.

Bio: Many in today's age attribute Almire's undead state to Vanaduke's terrors that he wrought about Almire upon his return. Few, however, consider the fact that the history of the undead appears to reach farther back than most. As seen by Knights perusing through Graveyards, an Almirian soldier's soul was wandering through its depths. This can only bring to mind a flood of questions : are the graveyards from Almire? Was there a problem with necromancy prior to Vanaduke's coming? Two of these, and then much, much more, are uncovered with every new artifact Knights bring back. Armor, ancient gold coins, jewels gifted from wives to husbands, brothers, sons...all these raised speculation about Almirian marriage, concepts of the afterlife, honor, and so much more...

Kathleen was the adolescent (in our perspective, adolescence would be teen years; in older times, women were defined as adults at the age of 12, Kathleen was 18) daughter of the mortician who took care of the Royal Catacombs, an underground complex built to house the deceased members of the royal family of Almire. What was later found from her father's fresh corpse a year into his job was that his liver was failing, his eyes were bloodshot red, and letters from panicky workers noted there were missing servants and faint screams from below. Discovered below was a gruesome sight.

In short, to save time and your meals, it could be said the mortician had gone mad. It was then that his missing daughter, Kathleen, would be labelled "the Mad Mortician's Daughter". A few frightening tales would be made about her, that she was a ghost that would snatch little children and miscreants who dared to delve too far down into the catacombs.

She wasn't found until half a century later, or so reports estimate. Though in an unstable psychological condition (not quoted, but presumed by "her inane fear of all things seen to the lady's own eyes"), she did not seem dangerous, and after she was found unfit to succeed her father (after being coaxed out of the darkness, she developed an overwhelming fear of nearing the catacombs), she was made a maidservant. Curiously enough, she seemed to obey the words of the Royal family only, even for things that went against her own free will.

Seemingly untouched by age or the dark, dank conditions, Kathleen was looked upon by suspicious eyes for a time, though this was later cast off as she began to regain her speech, as well as her comely stature. In fact, she was quite eloquent when speaking to older people, such as the advisers and the king, though she did not know the vernacular of the other servants until much, much later. Her revitalized state made her all the more amiable as a daughter-type figure to the Royal Family for the remainder of that King's rule.

Her eloquence would then lead to her becoming a messenger and adviser for all sorts of nobles, and she continued to behave in that manner before an incident 20~ years later. One of the nobles she attended to had his life ransomed by an assailant from one of the other kingdoms (disputably the first real threat the kingdom had posed to Almire, though the date was recorded so far back it is unknown exactly if it was indeed the first dispute), and because he had held lower worth, Almire refused to pay the ransom. They expected this noble dead and beheaded, but a few nights later, Kathleen came back, the nobleman safely with her.

When asked what she had done, she announced simply, "I hid from the opposite tower, and with a crossbow I had retrieved from one of the dead guards, slew the man with a bolt."

She was then conscripted into the Royal Guard for about 40~ years, unaging, undying, unable to help as the succeeding King behaved as though a bastard would. Oh, how she had wished she would become a maidservant or an adviser again, not the head of a group of pompous bigots who did the dirty work of a King who promised nil dressed in nothing but lies. Assassinations, massacres, sabotage; she felt more akin to a Royal Assassin than a Royal Guard Captain, the title she would receive for 10 years in service.

She was infuriated, to say the least, when she could do naught against the dragon except fling metal sticks that flew too short to even scratch the wyrm's leathery wings.

On top of that, the Princess was a girl she had been assigned to during the more...casual years of her service. Now wanting to at least protect the girl she might as well call her own, Kathleen would return to the prince, ready to serve the family. Under his command, she would gladly go to slay the dragon. That, and she had another, more ulterior motive...

Still, though, there was a mistrust between her now and the Prince. She was the former left-hand for the King, who (assumably) might not have gotten along well with many people that were close to him. Unaging, she was rumored to be, and by the Prince's own eyes, she probably was. Though the Prince might've grown into a charming man, Kathleen remained a young flower, never wilting over the years as he had seen her at balls, feasts, and so forth. Obedient to the Royal Family, but to what extent? Knowledgeable about history for the past century, but for what reason? She had been the Princess's caretaker ever since the little one was born, and to the Prince, a quarreling, bitter cousin of unknown origin. Yet, her long absences would seem too suspicious for a Royal Guard to be working as a "Guard" per se.

She spoke in an older way that only few by then could speak. She was both delicately lady-like and firm as a commander. She was militaristic, as part of her training, though she could handle housework (and arguably children) like the best of maids. She had one of the closest ears to the King, besides the advisors.

Above all, why the Royal Family? To what had she pledged allegiance to in order that she might outlive the past three Kings? What might she do for him that benefited his predecessors? She came back not in Royal Guard attire, but in that of a mercenary...

Roleplay Sample :

Kathleen, to most, was never apparent, never existent during her years as the Captain of the Royal Guard. Hiding behind an office, or if the situation required her own person, hiding behind a helmet, she stood apart from the very men she led. It was a little-known fact that the Captain was a woman; it was less known that she had the face of a child despite her pronounced age : 30-some years. So when the greenhorn, Tobias, had stumbled in with a resupply order, he was genuinely befuddled to see a girl seemingly two years younger than he sorting out stacks of parchments, clad in the Captain's armor. One might think her a noblewoman by her exceedingly pale face, though her thin cheeks and black veins told she'd be closer akin to some ghastly specter.

"...wh-wha..."

Kathleen, still flipping through the parchment, looked up only to see his rank. He was unmarked - a greenhorn.

"Your business?"

Tobias had to click his tongue a beat to get his bearings.

"Yes, Captain, I have a letter for the updated inventory."

"The table, where the rest lie.

...

I'faith, if you truly haven't a thought concerning mine own appearances prior to your...intrusion, then I have reason to be concerned about the intellect of the youth of yesteryear."

Tobias swallowed air.

"Your business, sire?" Kathleen muttered more forcefully.

"N-none."

"Then you may be excused."

As the door slammed shut, she bit her lip, and looked up at the ceiling.

"If only I could conceive," she muttered to herself, "I'd find a handsome, diligent lord to make my husband..."

How Affraiuel addresses everyone:

Rion: Fancy humie

Leo: Ponsy half elf

Othurs: he-elf

Min: dwarf/scum (orcs hate dwarf, Affraiuel makes the assumption that Min is a dwarf)

Kathleen: sista (I persume a Thrall is a relative of the orcs )

If no one want to fill a sniper position, Affraiuel can call upon her vice chieftain, Miz'ter Smackface, a cross bow wielding orcish shaman to assisst.

@Sirgeoffrygg: I did not see your app. Apologies.
It's slightly... Sketchy.
Too many things are convenient with your character. However, the age being 13- I will. . . Hold back on my judgement.
I will guess, from the short application, and the near all-lowercase that you are 13ish.
Votes?
I will stay nuetral to the votes until everyone has voted.

My bad.
I must have worded something wro- I did not mean for an emphasis on alluring. Mind it as a background word.
Besides, Alluring in the way you decided to make the character's bio.
I suppose it's something akin to why people like Tali from mass effect.
Anywho, Flatteries aside, I liked the way you presented your character- Moral wise, I would wholly agree with your character.

Yeah, that's pretty normal.

... It's totally a fetish.

Rule 51.
It's possible.

As for the voting on @Sir-Geoffreygg 's app... It's a bit vague, but I think him saying "Orthus's real life starts at 13" is more like saying "There wasn't anything notable that happened until he hit 13 years of age"; the fact that he rose in ranks means a significant time has passed... So he's at least 17-18 unless he was really blazing up the reputation ladder.
As I said, it's vague, so I personally would like a bit more Bio just to know more about him... But other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.

My vote: Approval after being expanded a bit.

If that's the case...

Welp, at least mention that it's the "Cradle" as inhabited by Gremlins, Fiends, Constructs, etc., so we can have a good grasp on what we can play as.

Besides that, if we are doing that Cradle specifically...where did all the Orcs, Elves, and Dwarves come from? Where did they go? O.o

As for Geoffrey...

Would make an interesting youth character to the mix, though I'd rather have specifications on his age (life starts at 13 is a very vague way to say he's...in his teen years? Has time passed since then?), and a little more clarity on why he's always cheerful. Kinda hard to interact with characters that don't really have a reason to do X or Y (Side note : in a zombie apoc RP I played, one of the two kid characters I wanted to keep alive for its sequel got his brains blasted out "just because my character's insane, okay?" by another player, who came in WAAAAAAAAY late in the RP without any real reason to be insane in his bio or personality. Of course, I got a little pissed off; there's no good reason to be wrecking others' business without a solid bio!) I'd be totes fine if he PM'd it to you or something for discretion. I've been in a few RPs where this one guy keeps on making a PKing character specifically tailored to kill everyone early-game with a good reason (in character reason like : the group of mages that cursed him into a gargoyle were all humans, and all current characters are human, so he'll have a grudge, and he's also easy to anger, so he can pretty much kill all of you guys whenever he wants to, and since he'll be learning magic, he'll have the best of both magic and might to kick your asses, because "the point of an RP is to win it" <-direct quote from him, which made everyone facepalm). He wasn't a bad roleplayer in terms of skill, but he was (and still is) a bit of a douche.

But for those reasons only, I would probably accept it. Otherwise, I'd like to have a more in-depth analysis on what exactly what elvish stuff is made out of (avoiding the notion Elves are superior to humans in every way but have not conquered humans yet for no reason clause) and a chunkier bio explaining his life (to keep in character, not because I'll make a PK character; that's not fun ._.)

Hoookay.

The story is being told IN CRADLE,
But the Story itself is SEPERATE from cradle, Taking place in the Morai Homeworld.
Thus no ingame gear, And also explaining why all this DnD stuff is here.
Because I'm willing to say that cradle is only made of parts of other worlds (Countries, territories): Ex: Canada, Japan, etc.
Sooooo yeah.

I'm just being cautious.

I'm trying to start at a time when I know I have enough time that it seems like I haven't abandoned the story right off the bat.
So. . .
It might be a few days, but I will start the story.
However, last time I did that, Only 3/10 showed up.
Eheh.
Keep your hopes up, okay? It shouldn't be too long.

At least it won't be Gabe Newell delaying HL3 kind of long.

I'm done being serious. Time to revel in insanity.

So, I might jump in with miscellaneous NPCs at some points in the RP. Just a heads up, since I don't feel like making a legit character to follow this.

All of this with or without Lim's consent (most likely without, but eh).

A New Challenger has - something something.

Guess What!
Lightsabers.
More specifically, there's only actually one.
Want it? Steal/obtain it.
There's a guy, in a Orange hooded outfit!
Why does he have it? When will Liminori stop monologing?
Find out next time in DBZ!
err
(Whatever. I haven't actually ever watched DBZ)

Name: Drenfrisk (Mr. Pro Antagonist)
Gender: Male ♂
Equipment: Orange Hooded Scale Mail, Nondescript Lightsaber
Race: Elf
Bio: [Classified. Requires Direct Permission from the King of Almire.]
Personality: "Tche- Unworthy. Get on your knees and beg, you worthless scum! I will obliterate every last one of you!"
Arrogant, Manipulative, Orderly, and Angry to the Bone. He's a real challenge, not to be taken lightly.

"Quick, ship the antagonist, before it's too late!"

Quote from "The Yore of Almire (RP)": Ember-Break, Self-Proclaimed Ruler of the Shipping Kingdom.

Kathleen was looking for a handsome husband, or at least would if she could conceive. But chances are she'd want one anyways, even without the ability to bear a child.

Drenfrisk is an antagonsit, and is of the prideful kind. Therefor, by the laws of literature he is either an old scar-faced sourpuss, or a handsome early to mid-20 aged character male with sharp looks and an acute face. Probably piercing eyes depending on what colors his irises are.

I'll take my risk on guessing he's the ladder.
Shipped.

Wow.
Wasn't exactly expecting that.

From experience, you can ship any two characters together, and it may or may not happen.
Kinda like, oh, Yuffie and Cloud or something of that nature. (I totally ship that, despite the age gap)
uhm.
I'll start working on the prince and a few other NPC's.
---
My mental image of Drenfrisk.
Actually, that's not quite right. Meh. I just felt like putting that somewhere.
---
Name: Vanaduke
Gender: Male
Equipment: Plate Mail, Greatshield, Battlemace, Mace (As in the spice)
Race: Human
Bio: The Prince, The king's son, whatever you wish to call him. Before he became the King, he was a kind, and benevolent warrior, though, like his father, He used his cunning to get him what he wanted in dire situations, rather than resort to violence.
Like a Wolver, he uses strength, and wisdom when power fails him.
---
Close enough.
Beneath all that plating and raw strength, He's just as thoughtful as... say, Link.
Wait. . .
"Hyah, Hut hut Hwaaah!"
Maybe not. You get my point.
And yes, he does kill people with spices. Spices. SPICES.

This place is severely lacking in spoons. TIME TO FIX THAT!

Name: Juli di Blanc

Gender: Female

Equipment:
-A light steel mace that looks like a large spoon, with a Torchstone in the hilt.
-A sharpened clarinet. They'll never see it coming.
-Her glasses- she can't see without them!
-There's also a dagger hidden somewhere on her person. But that's for when she's desperate.
-But what she's REALLY going to fight things with is Alchemy. At all times, Juli will be carrying at least ten vials, and copious amounts of Mineral Dust and Mineral Fragments (Moonstone being most prominent among them), as well as other unassuming sundries, that she can mix and then lob at enemies to cause explosions. MIXING!
-Juli is usually in a simple robe with large, heavily insulated pockets. Can't have anything exploding without permission!

Race: Halfling

Bio: Juli di Blanc hails from the Blanc Earldom in southern Almire. Wouldn't you believe it, she was a Marchioness! ...'Was' being the key term. With her father and mother both lost to illness, her uncle was the Earl- and he was up to no good. All sorts of shady stuff. Assassinations, smuggling, money laundering... worse, said uncle was soon revealed to be behind a ring of human trafficking, outlawed in all Almire. The marquesses of the nearby marches used this as an excuse to usurp the Blancs, and after a long string of "terrible accidents", Juli was left alone, and the newly-renamed Vaske Earldom was a crappy place to live under its new Earl (which is a given; people that look for excuses to usurp other people aren't great for long-term leadership).

Did this stop her? Nope! With local assassins having given up on trying anything after hearing about the one that tried to stab her and ended up getting hit in the [AHEM!] by some kind of mixture involving Valestone Powder and a Thunderball, Juli was free to get her revenge. Wait, revenge? Pffft! What a waste of time. Nope, no brooding "I will make them pay" for Juli- she was going to get her Earldom back the RIGHT way: with SCIENCE! By discovering something that'll make people call her a hero, rather than the niece of a villain, Juli plans to one day get her Earldom back legally, and for goodness' sake, set it right!

Personality: Most everyone she's met will tell you that Juli is... not quite all there. She was this way even before the tragedies mentioned above. But it's less 'insanity' than it is 'oddness'. As far as alchemists go, that's par for the course, right?

Juli is often so wrapped up in thinking about something- usually Alchemy- that she'll be an utter klutz at everything else. And, while not totally naive, she's still a bit too trusting for her own good. Despite this, Juli's honest, bright, and surprisingly cheerful.

((EDIT: I just read Liminori's last post.

Juli: "Spices? Hmmmm. Wonder what they do when I mix them with Dark Matter."))

EXCUSE ME SIR, ART THINE APPLICATIONS STILL BEING ACCEPTED?

I like where this rp is going, so here's another app if you're taking them.

Name: Torgrim Buldan (Generally called the bulwark by people)
Gender: Male
Equipment: Heavy plate armor, Tower shield, Short spear, Halberd. Wears his helmet at all times to prevent sight of his mangled face.
Race: Orc-Dwarf Cross (Essentially a really tall dwarf with an underbite.)
Bio: Torgrim was born far outside of Almire, among a coalition of Dwarfs and Orcs within a mountain fortress. As a cross between dwarven and orcish blood, he possesed unnatural strength, allowing him to wield most two handed weapons in one hand. (Although, is only effecient with weapons such pole-arm weapons such as spears and halberds.) as with Due to his heritage, he became very proficient at blacksmithing, Combat in plate armor, and the use of Pole-arm weapons alongside a shield. (Feel free to edit the next two sentences of the bio.) As he was patrolling the wall upon the fortress, A dragon swooped down and laid waste to the fortress. He was the only survivor, but with the cost of his face, shredded apart by the claws of the beast. To this day he's tracking down said dragon, Offering his skill and gargantuan strength to anyone's service if they happen to be looking for it.
Personality: He's always looking for new forging techniques and ores to use in forging, and when asked what he's thinking about, he'll go off about some alternate world that's made of gears that turn continents to face other continents below them. Has unwavering loyalty to whoever he serves.

((Juli: "Spices! I must say, spices that are lethal on their own must possess incredible qualities in mixture with other items. I've gotta test that sometime. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and I'm VERY excited to go on this adventure! And you must be, too, right, Torg? I'm calling you Torg for short. So if you hear 'Torg, duck', that's you! And you should probably duck. That may mean an arrow is headed your way. Or a jet of acid. Or an arrow that shoots a jet of acid when it lands. Or maybe I'm pointing at a mallard! In which case, you should look at the mallard after you duck! It's not every day you see a mallard. I wonder if mallards like spices? Maybe if I fed a mallard the right spices, it could shoot jets of acid... then again, that'd have to be painful for the poor mallard. If I get that result, I probably won't try to repeat it! Ethics, you know! So... hmmmmmmm. What do I know about mallards... oh! I have a great idea. If I see a duck, I'll shout 'mallard' instead of 'duck'! Stops panic. Oh, wait, what if it's a female duck? Still shouldn't shout 'duck'... Hmm... what's the word for female duck... Oooh! Just thought of something. Midnight. Midnight. Hey, Midnight. Midnight. What's your character gonna call me? Midnight! Your character gives everyone nicknames! Can I hear my nickname? It's for science!"

Affraiuel: *turns to the group* "Com on you gitz! We haz a group o' ponsy elvez ta stomp!!!"

[Affraiuel charged into the elf wizards in her orcish fashion and a powerful spell was casted upon her, a powerful air explsion knocked down the chieftess.]

Affraiuel: *recovers* "ARGHHH!!! What in the Gork and Mork'z goin..." *looks at her broken axe* "Oh that'z Zoggin great, it'z gonna take me a HOLE day to make a new one!"

@Liminori: I know that feel. And yes, spices should be a meme. (Juli: "Yes! Spices! I love it! I'll begin captioning images immediately- oh wait. There's a dragon to go fight. Darn. Well, back to this mixture! Ooh, it's reacting! Where's my pen? Darn, I always... oh, there it is. Hmm. Hmmmm...")))

As an Aside:
I also used my own phrase which grew. in. IMPACT 3 times in a row, like you did with Spices... On 12/01/2014 - 16:27

I made a short circuit.

Sorry, reading back on my post I must have sounded snarky, that wasn't my intention.
I just found it funny that the word Spices seems to be tossed around by several people a couple of days after I used spices in an RP. From this point on, all RP's in the Treasure Vault should have spices. No exceptions.

Also... WAIT, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO ALICE IS. WHY IS SHE DYING WITH -- WHAT IS THIS?!?!?! ; -;
