The Yore of Almire (RP)
@F-G:
Automatic success; You know the layout of the castle well enough to go unnoticed by the King.
His guards on the other hand, are a different story.
One of them, from the corner of his eye spots Kathleen.
"Oh, hey, Captain. I see you're back for whatever reason." He eyed her, Somewhat stunned by her appearance, but nevertheless a guard.
"Well, Go on then. I see no reason to stop you, Since the the King's been quite a-" He paused, snickered, and said "A royal pain."
Kathleen responds with a hard kick to the guard's knee. It should be enough to put him onto his knee.
If she succeeds, she goes on to lecture him in a harsh, whispering voice about how he should've addressed the King with more respect and that her quiet postponement of operations was no reason to behave as he should. She spares the guard from any more discipline, though, as she can't afford the time to do so.
She then proceeds to go to Vanaduke.
"Hmm hmmm... oh, that's the end." Juli's smile dropped a little, then quickly perked back up. "Ah, what I'll be able to do with these cures! This opens up a whole new line of research." Juli gently lifted the book, patting its cover in the same manner one would pat a pet dog. "You were a good one, weren't you? There aren't enough books like you around. Here you go..."
Juli placed the book gingerly back on its shelf, before turning around- and promptly tripping, landing face-down on top of another table. "Oof! Sheesh..." Juli stumbled back off the table onto her feet, rolled up her notes, placed them in her bag along with the ink vial and quill, and left the library, leaving a few coins to compensate for the paper.
"Now what..." Juli began thinking. If I'm going to go about this mansion, that might put me back on the map... and those fiends at the Vaske Earldom won't like that one bit. Sooo, it's time to find the safest place to sleep. Hmm. I wonder where Min went?
[[I'm back from vacation! Now to make Min do stuff (so long as this thread hasn't randomly died in my absence)!
Also, what are the rules on rolling here? Do we roll ourselves? Or do we wait for Liminori?
For now, I'll just have a movement leading to a piece of paper.]]
---------------
After landing smartly on its feet on the other side of the fence, Min collects itself. If the paper had left with the wind, then it was a simple matter of following the wind's movement and listening for the paper -- which made a unique fluttering noise among the trees. Hopefully, most of the papers would get stuck within the branches... But Min couldn't wait for such a possibility, action was needed to reach the floating parchment, not gambling.
With that conclusion, Min focuses its senses on Sound to locate the first piece of paper, it was drifting away slowly only a short distance away (roughly 5 meters) -- it was likely one of the papers near the bottom of the pile and had used the wind to escape, but soon fell from its influence. If left alone, the paper would eventually drop lightly onto the ground, but waiting for the paper to get to that location would leave the other papers literally gone with the wind.
Min would just have to catch it in mid-air.
Min focuses in on the paper and dashes towards it, holding its right hand at the ready to grab at the paper and move to the next target afterwards.
[[I don't think this thread is alive anymore, Doctor. We did all we could... But the patient's life isn't in our hands anymore. All we can do is pray for [insert religious figure here] to guide its undeveloped soul to the great beyond.
May it rest in piece.

All metaphors and well placed puns aside, there isn't anything we can do without Liminori responding and/or adding to the story. Unless we stage a Forum Coup D'état and take over the thread, that is.]]

((And so far, I am loving The Legend of Korra. So much so that a small element of what I've seen will leak into this filler post.))
"Hmm." Juli flipped another page. "Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm... oh, wow! Eastern Platypus-Cobra Anti-Venom." Juli's brow furrowed for a minute as she scratched the bottom of her chin. "Wait, how is that common? ...Oh, right. In the East, it's probably very common. Oh my goodness, Unicorn urine is an ingredient, I didn't expect that! Now however shall I procure tha- oh wait, I can substitute a magnesiate. Better write that down..."
