50 years have passed since the Skylark crashed into Cradle. And throughout the decades, the knights of the Spiral Order have fought a ceaseless war against the planet's inhabitants. At some point in time though, the Knights had run into an absolute stalemate against their foes, the Crimson Order and the Clockwork's denizens.

As such, the Spiral Order has devised a project to break the stalemate. A morally questionable project, also known as,

"The Rise Soldiers"

A project designed to breed artificial 'Knights' designed to succeed where the older generations failed.

Basically, your apps will be children that were born from the Rise project. Due to the nature of the story though, the physical age of all apps must be 12 at MAXIMUM and/or 8 at MINIMUM and they must have been born because of the project. It also bears mentioning, the RP starts off exactly 62 years after the fall of the Skylark

Don't let that hold you back though. I encourage you to get really creative with your apps. That is, your characters don't necessarily need to even be humanoid.

There are also plenty of ways to bypass the age limit. But I won't feed you any hints.

The background to the RP is mostly the same as the in-game one. Now here's a rough format for your application.

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Species: (ex: knight, gremlin, plant, living incarnation of anger, giant bacteria, robot)
Abilities:
Background story:

Also due to the nature of the story, your character's gear and equipment will be chosen by me, however I am more than willing to listen to your suggestions.

I will also mention that the story will span over a long time. Can be from 20 to over 50 years depending on how things go.

And MOST IMPORTANTLY, a timestamp must be put at the end of every post, time skip, and/or transition. I won't allow anyone to fudge the sequence of events in this RP.

I know that this all seems a bit restrictive, but please bear with me.

Lastly, you're allowed to make an introductory chapter to better establish your character. It's optional though, not mandatory.

It's time to APP!

Name: Akai Yoru

Age: 11 -- close to 12

Gender: Female

Background story (I'm putting this third so the following stuff makes more sense.):
"For the benefit of our Knights, we must embrace the Monsters." That was the slogan of the scientists who created Akai shortly after the start of the project; which was, in the opinion of their peers, a complete fluke.

Akai was made through the use of an "artificial womb" -- or more commonly known as being birthed in a Liquid-Pod, and was one of the first Isorian-Fiend Hybrids to be successfully created. The reason why her birth was referred to as a fluke was because attempts to replicate her birth using similar means resulted in abominations; the secrecy behind the actual procedure for Akai's birth only furthered the suspicion that the scientists themselves had no idea how they did it. Other crossbreeds were developed soon after, but the mystery of her birth is still discussed whenever she isn't around the labs.
Moving on from the mysteries of her birth, Akai's childhood was quite normal; she participated in tests and training that the scientists lined up for her without question, and completed any assignments she was given without a single fault.

Her faultlessness soon got to her head, however, and at the age of 8 she was convinced she was superior to any other life form she came across; her brilliant IQ and Physical prowess only helped further her belief.

Species: Knight-Devilite Hybrid

Abilities:

  • Fluent Fiend-Speak: Despite not having any training in their language, speaking with Fiends (that is, all fiends) comes naturally.
  • Resistance to Darkness: Species resistance.
  • Resistance to The Swarm: More Species resistance.
  • Underworld-Summoning: Akai can summon a variety of Devilite-weapons without a moment's delay; no runes or incantations are needed, simply a bit of focus.
  • Devil-Step: Akai has gained the annoying Devilite Ability to move in seemingly endless short speed-bursts through a bit of training.
  • Devil-Touch: Akai has an abnormal amount of Fiendish Essance within herself, resulting in her touch causing Dark/Elemental damage. She can channel her essance into weapons she uses as well.
  • Fiend Overdrive: Just like how Devilites can gain a power-up from Pit-Bosses, Akai is capable of powering herself up; the effect only lasts a couple of minutes, and her Essance needs time to recharge after she comes out of this mode (meaning her partial Dark/Elemental damage is lost after Fiend Overdrive wares off).

Appearance:
Akai is 4'7" with Pale, almost completely white Skin and Bright Yellow eyes. She has Deep Red hair which extends to her knees, with her bangs held back as to not interfere with her vision. Two Pit-Boss horns (which seem quite large in comparison to her height) extend from her head through her temples, they also have a partial red tint.

Gear Suggestion(s):
Akai cannot wear heavy armor, because it would slow her down. Instead, she prefers more stylistic choices, and depends on her Agility to shield her from blows rather than plating. She likes frills, wears gloves as to not damage others by touching them with her hands.

Personality:
Akai is Spoiled rotten, and doesn't take rejection of her ideas very well. She also sometimes makes claims she can't actually keep up with in order to save face. She is, in other words, a hot-headed princess.

Current Location:
IM Testing and Research Facilities (the IM stands for Isorian-Monster, testament to what "testing" and "research" is going on in said Facilities): Currently in open training -- which is to say, the Facility is showcasing promising Knights to potential sponsors; and Akai is one of the Knights that're being showcased.

Ho-hum, molten iron here and there.

Name: Mei...or May...she really doesn't know how to spell it out, and she changes her pronunciation slightly depending on her form.

Gender: Female

Age: 12

Species : Closest to Knight, though...well, read on.

Abilities:

Thermite Body - Mei requires a heightened metabolism to process the more-resistant Threose Nucleic Acid (as opposed to Deoxyribose) and heightened levels of iron in her blood. This causes their body to rise towards extremely hot temperatures to allow blood to flow up to an internal temp of 2000 F. This causes all types of waste products to be composed of ferric compounds.

May / Mei is able to switch between deoxyribose and threose at will, converting herself to a somewhat-human state, though she needs to intake a high amount of calories to revert back to her intended form.

In addition, she may need to eat chunks of clockwork metal containing aluminum to supplement the thermite reaction. She can't really stay in her TNA form if she runs out.

Integrate - By consuming another organism, a random base trait will be given. However, respawning is required to create mutations, a process which spans days depending on the complexity of the traits. She can only, however, keep trait sets of entirely different families at one time (she can go jelly mode, undead mode, etc. with their own set of unique cons and pros).

Physical Description:

At an underwhelming 5 ft., 100 lb., May isn't someone to be looking up to, if it was even possible to underachieve her quasi-pygmy stature. In a frail variant of the ever-prized female body, May may (pun not intended) appear as though she were an unassuming orphan brat to most. Her hair, grayed like pure iron, does ring off the odd bell or two, but in a world where Swarms are a constant threat, few would ever surmise a Queen would be in their midst, especially if the person in question looks just like any other dirt-stained orphan. A little side note : consumption of certain alloys will change her eye color in a manner similar to gold. Over time, if she is exposed to a high amount of oxygen, however, her eyes become increasingly darker, a gauge on how much she needs to consume metals.

And no, her veins are not red from hemoglobin; that's ferric oxide. Her skin tone is a darker bronze, due to the constant high heat she had to be exposed to before she was conditioned to survive in "normal temperatures".

Mei, however, differs the way a Tyrannousaurus differs from a chicken. Standing at 10 feet tall, and weighing around the mid 500 lb range, the Queen becomes a graceful fighter ready to take the initiative with her brood. Humanoid in appearance, Mei's initial form is likened to a knight clad in smoothened plates of armor, that, if cooled, hardens to a consistency rivaling lead's. Quite a useful ability, if she could survive without a good chunk of her flesh...

Short Bio: During the first conflicts that opened power shifts and power vacuums in the Morai War, an old Isoran laboratory was developing a bio-weapon to counteract the varied enemies that were popping up all over the place. After taking samples of different subspecies of organisms, the researchers decided to go against the current trend of the eugenics of humanity, but instead move towards manipulating the building blocks of genetics to create ungodly powerful war machines.

The research was brought back to an outpost for completion.

With only a military base's manpower to rely on, the research lab shifted its goals of acquiring metal for ammunition into one : acquiring iron for research. The researchers also began to toy around with the long-forgotten threose experiments to re-create the contemporary apex predators on Isora, as well as its predecessors : the Morai and Mankind.

Their result, finished hurriedly, was this. Matriarch Mk.3 - Attempt 1. M31. After kidnapping an entire army's worth of children from various caravans, orphanages, and so on and so forth, they subjected one of them to all kinds of drugs and exercises to condition them, for the monster they would put into them.

Naturally, they only chose the most fit to take the operation. The rest were simply tossed away.

Her screams became hoarse during the first half hour of the operation, then they returned in guttural roars within the first few hours. Loud thuds could be heard from inside the cell she was inside of, and personnel came running in and out with whatever things they could get their hands on to snuff out flames...until she detonated.

For the three dozen that had their faces burned off, she was considered a success story compared to her two predecessors.

Not quite human, not quite Morai, not quite anything people knew, she became an animal that had been turned into a monster that, had it been the first in its time, would've advanced beyond all the other Darwinian rejects by millions of years. And now there were countless others, both allies and enemies, for her to compete against.

And the only thing stopping from doing so was the fact she was in protective custody in Haven's Garrisons.

Personality : As an orphan in Haven, May spent her early years taking care of the even smaller children with what little food she could steal, scrounge, and buy. As the eldest sinister of the groups, she had to settle all disputes between her kids and other orphan groups. Of course, things almost never went into her favor, and she often offered herself to be beaten, molested, belted, and punished by all others in place of her flock.

Her charity mattered not, for as she grew strong on hardship and labor, many other orphans grew sick or lazy. Most of them were trashed when she came out of her operating room. The few remaining kids, almost all of them among her brood, were taken away by the remaining researchers. The Spiral Order collected a heartbroken girl later as she was pulled away from a mound of corpses.

Still very traumatized by the entire incident, May has developed a deathly fear of the color gray, and to this day continues to assault her superiors for information about the other children.

Of course, she knew deep inside they would have to succeed her at one point. Next time they met, she wasn't sure if her children were going to be on speaking terms. It's a fear she lives to make false, the one thing that keeps her alive.

Darwinism? I never knew 'er!!!

Name: KV-2000

Age: 8

Gender: 'male' personality

Species: Neurone Nano-machine based All purpose combat walker

Background story: KV-2000 was based off a successful Gremlin ultra heavy mecha knight blueprint, named 'KV-103', being the love child of Gremlin and Isoran engineering, KV-2000 was one of the most advanced automatons in clockwork. Numerous enhancements were done on KV-2000's exoskeletons and regenerative bio steel was incorporated into the plating and numerous missile packs were also installed. Other powerful weapons were also given to KV-2000 to increase its combat capability against the legion of Gremlin mecha knights that were advancing rapidly towards the front line thanks to the colony's seemingly unlimited industrial might. After numerous encounter with the hostile Gremlin machines, KV-2000 proven itself to be a formidable war asset of the Spiral Order and was given the warden honor at age eight.

Personality:

KV-2000, like its predecessor, had a high level of self awareness, but despite that, KV-2000 did not go on a rampage thanks to a series of machine ethics that was loosely implemented into its complex AI core. Though it is possible for KV-2000 to completely reject the ethics and do things to suit its convenience, but most of time it was for the sake of making him a more effective combatant.

The current machine ethics running inside KV-2000's AI core is programmed by the scientists to closely resemble that of a chivalrous knight, KV-2000 follows a strict sets of rules, oath to protect any and all spiral knights and allies, respect strength and honor over magic, loath fiend and other undead creatures.

Abilities:

Missiles- KV-2000 has many hidden missiles inside its large chassis, their potency is the as the missiles inside IMF, high in elemental damage and have AoE.

Transformation servo- KV-2000 can transform into a tank with a 250mm canon along with some small caliber assault weapons scattered across the body, during this phase, KV-2000's vital compartments are better protected than they were in mecha knight form. This tank form however, cost much more energy and KV-2000 must shut down after using it for a few hours and recharge.

Prometheus protocol- KV-2000 shuts down and enters a hibernation mode, the nano-machines inside the chassis will conduct repair and system update to counter whatever caused the damage that forced KV-2000 to activate Prometheus protocol. The bio steel can also recover damage that was done on its exoskeleton, but the process if slow. Throughout the duration of the protocol, KV-2000 cannot perform any action.

Appearance: this

Gear suggestion: Leviathan blade, grim repeater, warden shield or omega shell.

Critzer's picture
Critzer
And so there stood

Name: C822- Critzer

Age:11

Gender: Female

Species: Knight

Background story: And so she stood at the doorway, her body shaking, her mouth grinning, and blood pouring at the places that used to be where her arms joined her body.
Critzer was a project to make an adaptable, undying soldier. What they came up was to use the mechanisms inside of the alchemy machines to constantly heal the wounds inflicted upon them. Many test where done on prototypes before her, most of them exploding from the mechanism going wild or doing the opposite and consuming the body of the user to fuel its demands. The process of installing it was itself dangerous with a high mortality rate, leading to many failed experiments.

Critzer was the first stable creation, a balance between regrowth and power consumption. This was achieved through making the mechanism inside her more compact and efficient and redoing how the mechanism rebuild the body when damaged. Her blood now assisted the alchemy mechanism but being part synthetic copy, allowing for more effective power transfer to and from the mechanism. Though there was the problem of the excruciating pain that one would go through when regenerating and obviously being damaged. It was never "fix" per-say as pain is a necessary thing in life, otherwise shed be a cold shell, much like a robot.

So seeing as how she was the first, she was tested on extensively, most of the time it was to inflict damage onto her. First starting with cuts and bruises. It then moved onto more serious wounds such as broken bones, dislocations, acid, and all until they hit the point where it was merely riping limb after limb off of her body. When tasked to remove her head, they were skeptical on how creating a new brain would work, would she still have the same psyche or would she be a totally different person. But as every other question, they tested it, but instead of letting it grow back, they reattached the head, merely placing it back on. The body restitched it on, and she still was the same person. They noted that any touching or damage to her mechanism made her feel extreme pain, and would also affect her healing process.

Each limb took around a day to regenerate using idle energy consumption, though it could be overclocked to speed up the process. The mechanism used energy through multiple different materials, crimsonite for instance or another material, the denser the material the more energy it gives. The way she intakes the fuel is by merely ingesting it, the mechanism assisting in the digestion process. She has been known to rip holes into her stomach to stuff the fuel in rather than to consume through her mouth.

Such pain was done to her that she became a masochist and a sadist at heart. She smiled at pain, whether it be to her or those against her. For such a young girl, she had a twisted personality. This twisted personality makes her tongue sharper and her combat gruesome. She has an average IQ except when it comes to materials and their qualities, her life depends on this knowledge.

Abilities:
Overclock- She forces the mechanism into overdrive, healing her wounds much faster then at idle working speed, but uses more energy, so preparation before use is required.

Reinforce- The alchemy mechanism forces her skin to become a hard shell of calcium, giving her heightened defense but lowers her mobility. Its mainly a reflex to things such as explosions or impacts to where the mechanism may be. The more time given to hardened the calcium, the better the shield, but in all cases, calcium is brittle so the hard shell can still be broken.

Consume- When in dire need of energy for the mechanism, Critzer will drive an appendage into something nearby, whether it be the ground, a corpse, or a box of material and consume all of it. In the case of draining the ground, what is left over is dry, brittle, and dark. The process leaves her exposed though.

Appearance: Critzer has tanned skin with white hair and light grey eyes, this is because as she regenerates, her is skin is new which makes sensitive and her hair and eyes are new most of the time as well.

(This was quite interesting and i feel like i could have done better on this app.)

So many females... Permission to make a Male App as well?

[[Well, I asked that, but I plan on making one anyways. If I can't, someone else can have it.]]

Name: Zettai Rei (The "I" in the first name is silent, and he usually spells it "Zetta")

Age: 9

Gender: Male

Background story:
The combination between Knight and Sprite was one of the first ideas that came up within the project, and was completed relatively soon, resulting in a couple of Sprite-Hybrids, which went through testing and were put into their respective areas -- or simply disposed of, no one could really tell for sure what happens to subjects until they're are released, after all. The idea for Zettai, however, was a bit different than the original plan. Instead of simply inputting regular Nanomachines and Sprite-like parts into the Knight's physical appearance (like adding Drakon Wings for flight capabilities), they decided to switch it up a bit.
Instead of the regular programming and input, along with inplamentation of nanobots as a sort of ammunition, the scientists went in a different direction.

They created a method of having the individual's body produce its own nanomachines, just as a Drakon generates its own for its breath; they then integrated this method into several soon-to-be born children, as the method depended on using the Knight's immune system as a blueprint to create the nanomachines. The result was horrific. The coding within the nanomachines themselves varied due to their copying of the Immune System, and resulted in quick cell deterioration and, more frequently, cancers throughout the infants' bodies. The project was then scrapped, and the scientists moved away to more secure projects. All except a small group of particularly dedicated scientists who had been thrown out for coming up with the idea in the first place.

With no other option but to either A: Abandon their dreams or B: Continuing the project without sponsorship and/or resources, the team secretly continued improving the method of nanomachine introduction and several other innovations which would bring the Isorian genetics closer to that of a Sprite, for easier implementation. After 3 years had passed since the project's initiation, the group had perfected the method... In theory. All that was left to find an unborn child to tinker with; and so the group went back to the main project's headquarters and, with a couple of pulled strings, abducted one of the Knight-Born contained children (that is to say, the child was the result of extracted Ova and Sperm cells of unknown parents, and put into a liquid-cell) at a sufficient maturity to be able to take the procedure. They then escaped and finished the project with little to no issues.

Several months later their results bore fruit, and Zettai, a Knight who looked more Drakon than Knight, was born. Or... Created, or what have you. He was then implemented into the original project via hacking of the project's name-database and adding him to the list of successful experiments. Since there were so many experiments in total, the hack was never discovered, and so Zettai was raised among other successful experiments, and received the same training.

Species: Knight/Ice-Drakon Hybrid

Abilities:

  • Ice-Bolt: Due to his parents' wishes to have Zettai be more than just a simple Drakon-hybrid, the nanomachines he creates freely within his body absorb energy rather than generate it, allowing for expulsion of an almost Absolute-Zero bolt which freezes on contact while retaining a liquid-like consistency ( because it is, in the end, a clump of fired nanomachines) when fired. The Nanomachines solidify into crystal-like structures if they come into contact with anything, and remain in that form until until the nanomachines either run out of energy, or are destroyed.
  • Frost Resistance: Species resistance.
  • Damage/Resistance Change: Just like a regular Drakon, Zettai's capabilities can change depending on the type of neckband he's wearing, which also includes Piercing (yet another innovation from his parents)
  • Ice-Scales: Zettai's body is covered almost completely with scales, but they are much more than a stylistic choice. The scales' resistances change depending on the neckband Zettai is wearing, but also have other properties, such as being Solar-Panels to feed the energy consumption of the Nanomachines when they are created. The scales are always cold to the touch, regardless of the location, and if energy is channeled to them, they can freeze enemies.
  • Ice-Breath: This is basically an extended version of Ice-Bolt, more nanomachines are used, and a trail of Freeze-inducing liquid (which solidifies and crystalizes ). Nanomachines need to be generated after its use for the system within Zettai to be maintained, and so using this too frequently can result in... Chilling effects. [[I HAD to use an ice pun! THERE WAS NO OTHER WAAAAAAY]]
  • Frost-Scale Wings: Zettai's wings are almost the same as his scales, and aren't very useful when it comes to flying. They can, however, be used as 3rd and 4th arms for guarding against attacks, and allow him to glide quite well.
  • Pet-Food Eater: Yes this is an ability. Not everyone can eat crystals from the clockworks and find them tasty... But Zettai can.

Appearance:
Zettai is 7'2" due to his body's accellerated growth during the early stages of his life as he consumed Crystals to further his nano-machine's capabilities. His skin is ivory, and is covered almost entirely (Forearms, the back of his hand, down his legs, and up his neck to the edge of his face) with ice-blue scales Several Drakon-like spikes jut out of the back of Zettai's neck, but are covered by his shoulder-length spiked hair, usually held back with a Bandanna. His wings are almost as tall as he is, and extend slightly past the length of his arms if he unfurls them.

Personality:
Zettai is full of energy (despite his nanomachines being the exact opposite), and is seemingly surprised by everything he sees. Think of him like a puppy who was put into the body of a half-dragon. He's quite loyal to those who lend him aid, and is sometimes called naive because of it. Regardless, he is quite intimidating at first glance, because his face is would be more at home on some sort of mobster than one who's only 8 years old. Surely, most people get chills down their spine when he looks down on them, but most people warm up to him after he's broken the ice with them.

[[MAN I LOVE THE PUNS I CAN MAKE WITH THIS CHARACTER!]]

Gear Suggestions:
Weapons without cold-resistance will freeze and crack within Zettai's grip, so he usually sticks to just pummeling things with his fist after flash-freezing them. Freeze-inducing weapons would work, however. Gear would also need to be Freeze-reststant as to not snap off after being worn over his scales.

Other Notes:
While the list of Abilities does seem long, it's basically just Freeze-inducing Drakon Abilities and Scales. Other than that, Zettai is a jolly giant; just think of him as a tall blue Klein. Also, if he uses his Ice-Breath, he sometimes shouts "ZETTA RAAAAAAAY". Yes, I used his name to make that happen.

Current Location:
The Kennels: An institution where Knights who have gained Sprite-involving modifications are trained. This was the easiest institution to sneak Zettai into, considering his appearance. They are currently undergoing educational testing -- which Zettai is struggling with, causing sleight discomfort from his peers as his already menacing face becomes even more volatile (Zettai himself hasn't noticed his change in facial expressions, however).

Is anyone else going to make

Is anyone else going to make some apps? If not I'll make the first chapter tomorrow.

The first chapter will mostly involve my main character picking up some of the current apps and taking them to the facility (a kind of base of operations) where the story will really start.

If you guys could post the current location of your characters, I'd appreciate it.

----------------

Akai:
'Boring.' A target within the courtyard burst into flames as an Oiler-Hybrid and a Red-Rover modified Knight combined their abilities to combust it over a long distance.

'Boring...' A wolver Morph showed its proficiency with attacks as it launched a series of jabs against a Lumbar-modded knight, who stood its ground against the onslaught of attacks.

This is so... Friggen... BORING.' Akai crushed the cup of water one of her classmates had brought to her to wait out the outdoor activities under the shade of the sidelines.

An event was currently going on at the IM TRF, a showcase to be specific. All the students who had shown themselves to be exceptional -- or more... Profitable, had been "asked" to demonstrate their abilities in front of a group of high-and-mighty onlookers.

'Pudgy old knights with too much time or money, or both, on their hands.' she thought to herself while looking over the group. There were quite a lot of them, today. Probably because the weather was good enough for them to make their way out to the facilities, which was further off from Haven than most others. The purpose of them being there? Sponcors, employers, "practical training".

Akai let out a deep sigh threw her now useless cup over a couple of meters, where it landed inside of a small trash can. Akai didn't mind showing her skill, but the stares from fat old men never got easier to deal with. Even so, if she wanted to get anywhere beyond this facility, she'd have to find herself an employer of some sort -- at best, the Spiral Order would go out of their way to look into an event like this and look for candidates for... Something. They had started the "Rise Soldiers" project, but no one knew whether they were doing anything with the knights that came out of it. And if anyone did, they kept their mouths shut, or were too busy to offer any explanation.

"It's time, Akai." said her personal attendant. The knight's face was young, and he was new to his job; she had fired his predecessor less than a day ago, after all. For that, she'd let him off the hook for using her name so easily this time. She wasn't heartless, after all.

The young Devilite-morph then rose to her feet, and approached the target area that her personal attendant guided her to. 8 targets, a timer, different materials making up each one. Nothing would happen if she didn't land the correct type of Devilite Weapon into the right target... Which started spinning, floating, and rotating. The ground she was standing on followed suit, its movement through a series of movement tiles becoming unpredictable.

How the professors liked testing her abilities...

The timer started.

Gathering energy in her hand, Akai would start with the easy ones. She noticed two targets, one requiring Fire, and the other requiring Poison, that were slower than the others. They were probably an older model that the scientists had hoped to smuggle in with the other ones. Despite having enough cr to choke an army of Tortodrones, cheapness wasn't very uncommon when it came to events like these. One less up-to-date model meant more pocket-change for the one ordering them. Before being lost in her contemplation, Pitchforks of the appropriate type appeared in both of Akai's hands, and she did a quick spin with the aid of a small dash, throwing the first directly into the Poison target, followed by the Fire target less than an instant later.

Akai made sure to avoid destroying the processors located openly on the side -- that would mean a messy cleanup and time being added to her performance, as to discipline the waste of resources. Only 3 seconds had passed, but Akai had already noticed the "trick" of the event, as well.

The first two targets had appropriate colors to match their weaknesses. Poison - Green, Fire - Red. The others, however, were meant to trick their opponents. It was only a minute detail... But the coating on the targets, how they reflected the light and the smoothness of the paint overtop gave the target's true weaknesses away.

'Clever, but not clever enough. Akai thought to herself as she prepared an Ice Axe and another Fire Pitchfork. She spun the first Axe vertically, causing it to hurtle towards a Green Target which, due to the movement of the tiles underfoot and its own movement, had made its way in front of a Purple Target. The Axe slashed through the first like butter, and stuck halfway through the face of the second, causing both to fall to the ground. She then used the force of throwing the axe as a forward pull to pivot her foot and throw the burning pitchfork at a Blue target, which collapsed as well with a new burning accessory poking out of its Target-Rings.

She then summoned the remaining three weapons she would need. One Normal Pitchfork, and two Electric Axes. Without wasting any time, she tossed the two axes in the air, and jumped after them, spinning the Pitchfork within her hands, and thereby passing a spinning momentum into both axes, each in opposite directions. She thrust the hilt of the Pitchfork into the central axis of one of the axes, then swung it in the direction of a spinning target, whose spinning only helped in bringing its Ringed face into the path of said axe.

She then threw the Pitchfork directly down into the face of its defending counterpart, likea bolt of lightning through a tree. Finally, Akai dropped into a fall sleightly before the Axe, jumping off the ground before it fell completely and taking it into her hands by kicking the ground and using the movement of the moving tiles to match its spin. Their destination in mid-air was right on-target, and Akai spun vertically through the final target, resulting in the timer stopping at exactly 10.00 seconds, and the panels stopping their movement before Akai returned to the ground; her Axe fading within her grip.

Sleight "Ohhhh" 's could be heard from the crowd as they regarded her skill. A couple other students had stopped their performances as well to watch the short decimation of targets; with envy or jealousy, it made no difference. Her attendant then rushed to her side with an exited look on his face.

"That was amazing Aka--" She cut him off with a finger to his lips as he bowed down to speak to her.

"You are to refer to me as "My Lady", "M'ady", or "Mistress". Understood?" She commented flatly, before walking past the man and sitting back down where she had been less than 30 seconds prior.

"Y-Yes mistress." was the responce she received as he returned to her sides and resumed his silence out of the cover of the shade Akai basked in.

Zettai:
Zettai sat in the desk that had been especially brought into the classroom for him. He was used to it, having a special area to himself for tests. He sat in the back corner of the class, so that he wouldn't interfere with visual demonstrations up front as his peers -- none of which exceeded a little over half of his height.

'My parents just had to make me big, is all... No need to dwell on that.' Zettai had thought early on, about 2-3 years ago, when he was already approaching 6'.

Most Sprite-Hybrids within "The Kennel" (officially known as the Sprite-Morph Faculty, but everyone used "The Kennel" to avoid troubles pronouncing "Faculty") were smaller in size -- a byproduct of inputting the same mechanisms Sprites themselves have, and not modifying their scale by much in order to keep the nanobots functioning properly; the only exception within the room was Zettai, which caused him to become a spectacle by his classmates -- he was often used as a living playground, and his strength allowed him to be a successful thrill ride, as well. Or... he was, until the teachers banned him from throwing other students.
Regardless, Zettai was friends with most children in the room; but that didn't stop them from shifting their desks away from his during tests.

'The least they could do was come close enough for me to sneak a couple answers off of..!' -- this was a thought he came across regularily when tests came around. But there was no test today, and so he sat in his spot near his fri--

The sound of desks moving. Zettai had gotten a drink from outside before entering the room, and was looking into it, but his gaze shifted to his classmates as they moved their desks from his. With his lips still pressed against drink, the teacher said "The test starts now!"

He looked down at his desk. There was a paper.

'No need to panic. Don't panic. DON'T PANIC. Put down the cup, then look at the paper. This might just be an opinions poll! Yeah! That has to be it! There's no way I'd forget there was a test today.' Opinion polls were put out every couple of days, and he and his friends always liked coming up with hilarious ways to answer their questions.

For example: answering "Yes" to every question except for the final question on the poll which stated "By signing this paper, you have agreed to have read through the poll thoughtfully, and answered to the best of your ability." They were punished afterwards, but it was totally worth it.

Calmed down with the memory of their past encounter with papers appearing on their desks, Zettai set down his cup of chocolate milk.

'And even if it is a test, there's no way I'd forget an important one, right?' He then looked down.

"Isoran History Unit Exam Final"

His outward reaction, with more than a sleight look of aggression -- despite not intending to -- was like this. His internal reaction, however, was more like this.

Elize 'Ellie' Lemon was once

Elize 'Ellie' Lemon was once a big name in the Spiral Order. A rising star, an ace in the hole, a name easily 'inked to feelings of awe and wonder.

That was 15 years ago.

Now Elize was just another name in a pile of documents. Documents that she has to archive herself, ever since they had seen her fit to do deskwork as opposed to actual field work. She wasn't bitter about that though, she enjoyed deskwork to a certain point.

If only there wasn't so much of it.

And now, out of nowhere, she had been chosen to be in charge of some big budget project that the higher-ups are expecting a lot from.

By herself.

Those bastards.

But, oh well. There was nothing she could do about that, she'd already unleashed all her rage and frustrations yesterday on an unfortunate training dummy.

Now to the matter at hand.

Elize was on in a place called the IM TRF, about to report to one fortunate little science experiment that she had been chosen to join the 'Rise Project'.

On her way there, she walks while reading what appears to be a report card for school studies. One with a picture of an ivory skinned boy with scales covering him from the neck down.

She grimaces while reading the piece of paper. She was supposed to train and educate this kid and turn him into a top-rate knight?

Oh joy.

But as she thought that, she finds that she has reached her destination. Behind this door should be one 'Akai Yoru'.

Elize knocks at the door.

My third RP

Name: Sephilus
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Species: Snake/Owlite
Abilities:
1. Magic: Sephilus has magic due to his Owlite nature, but uses mostly healing and offensive spells @Almond-Riddle You can decide on a few spells he has in the spellbook as well as some spells he knows by heart.

2. Spellbook: Sephilus has a spellbook. Inside of the spellbook are spells he can use. Each spell takes about ten seconds to charge. Sephilus can also transcribe spells to his spellbook and can do this in thirty seconds.

3. Spells known by heart: Sephilus knows some spells by heart and can use these if he charges them for half the time it takes to charge a spell from the spellbook

4. Spell cost: Each spell costs Sephilus Mana. @Almond-Riddle You can decide how much starting Mana Sephilus has and how much Mana his spells cost.

5. Staff (not an ability, just a weapon request): Sephilus (Hopefully) has a staff that he can use to focus his magic better.

6. Strength boost: I have a snake, and it is crazy strong. It can hang onto my hand by merely the near tip of his tail, and can then do a pull up on almost the entire length of his body. Sephilus can lift 2 times as much as an average person. If anyone has objections, feel free to tell me.

7. Flight: Due to his Owlite nature, Sephilus has a set of powerful ebony black feathered wings. He can use these to fly.

Background story: Sephilus was created in hopes of the a powerful being who could devastate machines with the might of magic. Sadly, all Owlites (I assume) were dead, and they had hit a dead end as soon as the project, code named project Asclepius (Greek god of serpents and healing) started. However, when Critzer was created, an idea flashed inside of one of the scientists working on the projects minds. What if they could use materials from an alchemy machine to create a clone of an Owlite? That is what they did, yet all that they could do was create many horrible winged aberrations. Finally, as though by magic (Hehe), a serpent fell inside the cloning chamber right before the process began. The outcome of the experiment was a small wriggling serpent with wings at least five feet long each. Over the period of 10 years, the little serpent grew to be of unmatched intellect and nearly unmatched strength. The serpent, soon grew talon like arms and was growing fast. Sephilus' wingspan is 24 feet (Anatomically correct!). Sephilus' powers are still growing, and even the scientists who created him don't know when they're going to stop.

Appearance: Sephilus has a pair of giant wings that he likes to keep hidden underneath a cloak. His eyes are yellow-green with a thin slit pupil. His arms are like bird talons, but covered with scales. Sephilus has four fingers. Sephilus if 9 feet long including his tail but without the tail, he is only 4'9.

Notes and questions.

I forgot to leave a note explaining how the targets were destroyed so easily by Akai -- I had originally planned on adding it as a note at the bottom of her introduction chapter, but... I guess I forgot. Whoops.
Anyways, it's not that her weapons are extremely powerful (I imagine them having the same damage properties of a weapon caught between the 3* - 4* max-heated weapon gap -- or, 3.5* fully heated) that she was able to destroy the targets so easily, it's just that the targets are a lot like the ones in the Guild Training Hall -- you know, the ones that go down as soon as they're shot; that is to say, the targets themselves, while being thicker in appearance than said targets, would still go down in one hit so long as they were struck with the correct debilitation.

@Almond-Riddle/Keepscaite
Regarding the time-stamp thing... Am I correct in guessing that it's in the following form?:
[Time of Post start (Hour.Minute.Second)] - [Time of Post end (Hour.Minute.Second)], [Month] [Day] [Year ASC -- minimum 62]

So your Timestamp (13.30.23-13.35.05, August 5th 62 ASC (After Skylark Crash)) was :
1:30PM (+23 seconds) - 1:35PM (+5 seconds), Aug. 5, 62 ASC ?

Also, seeing as you used August, are we going to be using Real months? Or will there be custom months and/or names-of-months as well?

@Critzer: I could jump start

@Critzer: I could jump start the story immediately, but that would require me fudging up the timeline a bit.

@Snakey: it's fine, it's not too op at all. I don't even mind op characters. Due to the nature of the story, you're characters are allowed to be as powerful as you want. But once things reach God-modding or infinite one-upping levels, that's when I'll step in.

Also, I know that a lot of discussions are going on here. For now I'll make this a discussion/app thread. But once things start to take off, I'll personally move all the story posts to a different thread.

Lastly, here's a warning in advance. Things are gonna start pretty slow at first, because I wanna focus on the interaction between the characters before I start working on anything major.

Minor story post

Officially, Major Lemon was the only person working in the Rise project. Such was because the subject was highly classified, only persons of a certain rank or higher in the Spiral Order were allowed to even know about the project. But to no surprise, nearly all of the Knights of sufficient rank were busy elsewhere, in fact even Major Lemon is handling the project while still heading a part of the Order's logistics department

But anyway, the point is that officially, only Elize Lemon should be working in the project.

Unofficially, Elize had called in favors as well as hired 'outside' help to aid in her endeavor.

Of course all of this is swept under the rug. The higher-ups merely choose to turn a blind eye to what she's doing on account of how desperate they are to see the success of the project.

The first step of the project was of course, the transfer of the project's many subjects to one facility.

Character app time.

Name: Subject_1 (Assassin's Creed reference)
Age: 12 but alter ego is 1237
Gender: Male
Species: Knight/Swarm
Abilities: Split Personalities
Credit for this idea goes to Ares-Hsg. He has his normal 12 year old boy personality and he has his swarm personality. When he is in the Swarm personality, he has a power boost for all his swarm based abilities.

Swarm Shrapnel
Small pieces of shrapnel he corrupted with swarm energy. They are used as projectiles. They have swarm corruption, so don't touch.

Swarm Control/Corruption
What are the swarm known for? Exactly.

Swarm Meld
If he finds a swarm source, he melds with it, making him invisible, and regenerates lost health. He can also teleport through swarm corrupted objects.

Swarm Eyes
Credit goes to Ember-Break for this idea. If he closes one of his eyes, he can summon a swarm eye to spy on stuff for him. If he closes both eyes, he turns into a swarm eye and can move significantly faster.

Swarm Balls
Summons small balls of pure swarm energy. They corrupt all they touch.

Background story: Subject_1 was once a normal kid on the streets of Haven. One day, His parents died in an accident involving a catalyzer, a tank, and lava. He became a street urchin. He could never sustain himself on the food and money he made for odd jobs on the streets. One day, a scientist came to him from the Rise program. He said he would pay him riches if he would allow himself to be subjected to his experiments. And thus did Subject_1's journey begin.

When they arrived at the man's laboratory, he realized there was something off. Especially when he was tranquilized. The people truly experimenting on him were a secret sect within the Rise Project. Subject_1 was injected with a concentrated version of the Swarm virus, which while he was asleep, created it's own persona. He never awoke from his sleep, so was out in a stasis chamber for several years. And then story posts begin.

EDIT: Starts in a basement behind a secret door somewhere (WHo gives on about where?) Screw it. Behind a bookshelf, there is a secret door that leads to a vault full of unstable creations (i.e. weapons of all kinds, insane or unsafe rise soldiers, some testing phase new battle sprites maybe)

The Flight test (Sephilus is a very good flier)

It was time. Sephilus' flight test. So far, he was the only known flier that had been produced during the Rise Soldiers project. And he had to prove he was worth it. "I know you can do it Sephilus! I know you can fly through those stupid requirements!" The scientist who was saying all of this was the closest to a father that Sephilus would ever have, unless Philoso turned up to be alive, of course. This scientist, Samson, had flipped the switch that activated the cloning machine, and had been the one who cared for Sephilus in his ten years. "You know I can Samson. You know those requirements are just recommendations! I think I'll breeze my way through them."

"It's time! Ladies and Gentleknights may I introduce the (EDIT:) one of the greatest in the entire Rise Soldiers program! SEPHILUS! THE FEATHERED SERPENT!" Samson shouted.

At that sound, Sephilus flew from a perch behind the stage, did a dive for the audience, then flew upward, unfurled his wings, then plummeted to the ground. Sephilus deftly summoned his staff and launched a fireball into the air. By the time the Fireball had been cast, he was a foot from the ground. Using his wings, Sephilus pushed off the dirt, beat his wings and prepared to fly through a series of floating rings that Sephilus knew were using Grav-Levs to stay afloat. He flew deftly through each then glided away from the audience after he was through the rings. He then cast his Ice bolts behind him, towards the audience, then made a barrier that stopped the Ice bolts, but allowed the ice bolts to take the form of a beautiful and perfect snowflake (http://www.its.caltech.edu/~atomic/snowcrystals/photos/w031224a130.jpg). I can't finish now.

EDIT: Can this be a test in general? Cause I ran out of ideas for stuff you would want from just a flight test.

I think, because Apps are still open, we shouldn't close the doors on having new Applicants being able to fly. You could say he's one of the greatest flyers, but not the only one out there; I had mentioned in Zettai's App that some knights would have simply added Drakon-Mods onto soldiers and given them flight capabilities (which would be understandable, seeing as the procedure would be relatively simple -- more simple than any of the procedures we've seen in the Apps, at least), so there are at least those.

I'm not sure how many scientific groups there are out there, but if we assume the project was designed to "break the stalemate" between the order and the "Crimson Order and the Clockwork's denizens" (quoted from the Original Post), then it's probably huge.

@Almond-Riddle/Keepscaite
I have a question regarding the Rise Project itself. 12 years prior to these events, what happened?
As in... What did the "Rise Project" do when it was started?

My take on what it did was that it sponsored several pre-existing groups for research and development, as well as creating some groups from scratch; in this way the creations were, in the end, part of their own respective institutions, but were also eligible to get into the Rise Project itself whenever the time came to collect experiments (i.e Right now).
In other words, while all projects were under the "Rise Project", they would be primarily focused under their own institutions. In the end, it was a "We'll give you some money, so make us stuff, and in the future we'll pick out what we want to keep" situation from the Spiral Order, and now they were coming to collect.

But what are your thoughts on this?

@Ember

Your guess is actually, pretty accurate.

In the year 49 ASC, a certain event happened that put a timer on the Knights war against the Crimson Order (a major plot point, so I can't spoil it now). In response to such an emergency, the higher-ups made the Rise project.

In the project, a number of institutions (some owned by the Order, others private, and some were as you said, started from scratch) were given a very big budget to make "something that could win us this war". Each institution was given free reign on their creations, while the Spiral Order's higher-ups created the background for the training of these soldiers.

Unfortunately, yet abother unforeseen event occured that caused the Spiral Order to start the final phase of the project earlier than planned (that is, the phase where all the subjects from the project are gathered into 1 facility to be given intensive training).

Originally, there were a handful of high-ranking knights (Elize being one of them) that were set up to handle the project's training phase. But due to the unforeseen event above (the one that rushed the project) most of those high-ranking knights are unavailable. Leaving only Elize.

That is why the project seems a little cobbled together, it was a project made in a crisis that was then struck by another crisis.

@Snakey-One

The nice part of me wants to say that would be... But in the end, it's the same issue. It'd restrict applications to just having implants; it's a 12 year project, so surely flight would have been one of the things worked on for Biological Engineering.
You could say he's the "Best Flyer", because that is what most compounds would say about proficient flyers. That way, it's not an absolute "best" because it's just a sort of sales pitch, but at the same time he would still be incredibly skilled at flying (otherwise people would call his claim to be the best "false advertising").

In that way, Sephilus would be shown to have great flying abilities while not limiting (possible) applications and/or other (possible) enemies -- like creations that can fly but have escaped for example.

In the end, however, it's up to @Almond-Riddle/Keepscaite.

~~~
As for my Time Stamps... The details of my time stamps will be up to @Almond-Riddle/Keepscaite, so that he can have Ellie walk in and witness Akai's performance, or miss it, or whatever he wishes; and for Zettai, she can walk in on him struggling, or have some other situation happen.
I had intended both intros to take place just about the time a Scout for the Rise Project would show up; so obviously the times would need to be apart (considering the unknown, but presumably notable, distance between the two institutions), I just don't know how far apart yet.
Further movement of characters will have proper time stamps in, but for now, allowing versatility of Ellie's time should take priority for my Intro chapters (as that was, once again, what I had intended to have happen in them).
@Snakey: Sephilus really
@Snakey: Sephilus really shouldn't be the only flier, even Zettai has wings. I think you should edit it into "the most promising flier in the Rise project". Like what Ember said.
(4th time I've edited this reply)
@Saucce: So exactly when was he experimented and put into stasis? This is an important question. And also, how does the swaralter-ego work?
While we're at it, I need a consensus about how the Swarm works in this story. Are we gonna work with the old theory Thin made that the Swarm is one hive mind?
Alternative to that is something I thought of some time ago, that Swarm infected people are just corrupted versions of said person's personality.
@Ember: we can just assume that the report card Elize was reading was a year old. Just assume she has a stack of documents regarding all the children and she was currently reading them while going to pick up Akai. That way, Zettai can be doing his test at the same time as Akai's demonstration.
Post #25 was supposed to explain how Elize had 'unofficial' people helping her, they're supposed to be picking up the other kids. I was just about to post it actually.....
@Almond-Riddle I think Hive Mind will be easiest .Eliza will not have a report card for Subject_1, seeing as he is a secret side project. Does anyone watch Marvel's Agents of Shield? If this was the marvel universe, the knowledge of Subject_1's vault is clearance level 45. Nobody nose about dis. Bah. Story post time.
"C'mon quick!" muttered the scientist. She withdrew the book and instantly, the shelves began to open. Her co-worker ran alongside her before the doors closed and the small EMP ceased shutdown of the security cam.
"What is this place?" asked the co-worker.
"This is our storage area within the Rise Program, remember? The Fallen Angel B45X1?" Asked the worker, peeved. Down the short ramp, was a small stasis chamber surrounded by crates, cages, and insanely large missile launchers.
"What's in there?" questioned the co-worker, gesturing towards the stasis pod.
"Some dead kid. He's Swarm corrupted so we can't let him out."
"Really? His eyes are open."
"WHAT?!?!?"
Suddenly, the lid of the stasis chamber exploded into magenta and purple shards of metal. The two scientists were dead before they hit the ground.
"Fools" said the boy. He used a larger shard of metal and used it to float on. A person can't walk after being asleep that long, after all. He floated towards the door. "Hmm...." Subject_1 looked around, and saw what he was looking for. A missile launcher! "I hope this thing is working and loaded" says the boy. He pulls the trigger. The door explodes into thousand of pieces, scattering debris and books. The boy, unharmed, walks through the door. At this instant, every alarm in the facility will go off. React to that. He is in the central library.
If you want to make an introductory chapter, you've missed your chance. Any and all story posts that come after this post will be completely disregarded.
You are allowed to post once I allow it, which is after I give the 'go ahead' in the story post below this warning.
However, any and all applications are still open for acceptance after this post.
The only exception to my bolded statement is Ember-Break, because Elize has already gone to pick up Akai. Someone else is on their way to pick up Zettai (in the following story post below this warning)
---
Haven's Garrison, inside of a heavily guarded containment facility.
Home to many dangerous individuals, some knights, some not, and some.... somewhere in between.
An elevator travels downwards in the facility, carrying in it a pair of guards and a figure shrouded in black fog.
The elevator stops at the bottom-most floor, situated at least 50 storeys beneath the surface. Immediately before the elevator's exit was a nigh unbreakable glass screen. And behind the screen was a girl, a small girl with dark bronze skin and hair greyed like pure iron.
Experiment Matriarch Mk. 3 - attempt 1, subject M31.
She did not get guests often. It was hard to read from her hardened expression what she expected from the guest, but there was no doubt that she would never have expected the figure that came out of the elevator.
"Mya."
With an utterance, the black fog disperses, revealing a figure.... even smaller than subject M31.
A feline figure. Who's pink.
"Good morning mya! Mwy name is Count Rhadon mya. I'm here to escort you to your new home mya!"
Rhadon says, cheerily.
What else do you send to pick up a creature of mass destruction other than an immortal?
((As it would turn out, I'm going to have to compress the 'pick-up' chapters of some characters, because doing so one by one for each app is taking more time than I realized))
"Hello? Yes," Elize says into a phone.
"I'm here to call about the subject.... KV-2000, yes. About the transfer, I'm sorry to say, but I cannot come to pick him up. Yes, that's correct, I have nobody to spare either.
Oh? Is that possible? Tomorrow would be good. Yes thank you. The address is... I'll have it mailed to you. Thank you very much."
Click. The phone dies.
That was one down, thought Elize. Afterwards, she opens her com unit with one hand to send the mail, while her other hand starts to type another number into the phone.
"Yes, hello. Is this the institution for the research of battle sprites? Good. I'm here to talk to you about a subject, one that's called.... Zettai? Yes, him..."
[[Sorry to Midnight-dj and Ember, could you guys have your apps get to the facility by themselves?]]
---"Excuse me young lady, but might I borrow the young lad for a bit?" chimed in an elderly voice.
From out of nowhere, a man appeared behind Sephilus and Janice. He was an elderly knight with greyed hair, and a prominent tribal-looking tattoo stretching from his left cheek down to under his buttoned up shirt.
"Ah, where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Dynas, I'm here as a representative for a friend regarding the Rise Project," he says with a bright smile.
"Forgive me milady, but the youngster over here has official business he needs to attend right now."
"Okay....?"
Was all he could say, when he saw the female knight impaled by spikes with an ecstatic expression.
"Miss do you need help?" He tries asking the girl, to which she doesn't reply.
Not so much because she didn't hear him, but more because his words were nigh impossible to comprehend most of the time. Unless you're listening very intently, it all just sounds like something jiggling.
Such was one of the many reasons why Ex-Spiral Order Navy Captain Narwhal wasn't very fond of his new body as a jelly.
But well, it was good enough that he managed to get this far without any random attacking him. He was pretty glad that blue jelly cubes are considered as pets in Haven now.
But back to the matter at hand...
"Miss....? We, umm, I'm here about your new mission? The Rise project one?" He says again.
She seems to notice this time, because she turns to see the blue jelly cube creature that is somehow talking to her.
Hm...
[13.33.35 - 13.35.34 August 5th 62 ASC]
As Rhadon appeared in front of May's eyes, the girl flinched and launched herself back into the white wall, one of four in her cramped cell (hence, her cell was a pentagon, if the thick glass pane was to be included). She was silent to say the least, but she did not speak. Like a cornered animal, she only yelled some incomprehensible things, as if Rhadon should've been scared.
It wasn't an easy sight to see, from any point of view. If the researchers here had already broken her in like an animal, what good was she...?
For a moment, the girl's eyes flash with a brilliant orange tone, and her blood vessels do attempt to change, but considering how skinny she was...how malnourished little May was...well, she couldn't be able to show her ability. It was probably for the better, though. As the girl growled at the civilized anthromorph, something seems oddly, reminiscent.
That is, if Rhadon's ever been at this state of mind before. Who knows, since even her upbringing must've been completely different from May's.
REPLIES Rhadon floats forward
REPLIES
Rhadon floats forward and presses himself to the glass. He continues to push himself until, somehow, he squeezes through the glass.
He stops floating right in front of the girl trying to push herself further into the corner.
"Mya."
With that utterance, an oppressive atmosphere fills the room. In a second, Rhadon's once cute appearance transforms to that of a monster, an enraged kat. At the same time, his skin shifts colors from pink to black and ominous runes start to float around his body.
"Poor child," he speaks in a deep, monotonous, layered voice.
"I can sense the dark emotions inside you. Such fear, hate, regret....
"Were I a lesser member of my species I would be drowned in an immediate lust for your blood because of such sweet emotions,"
Rhadon floats down, until he was a mere pencil's length away from the cowering Queen's face.
"Alas I have promises to keep. But I am no monster, I shall give you a moment's respite."
With that, Rhadon's eyes suddenly glow purple, and Mei could soon feel her consciousness leave her. She passed out in moments.
Once Mei had been subdued, Rhadon returns to his original form. The oppressive air disperses and his skin turns pink again. However the runes remain.
"Mya," he says, before the runes suddenly emit a luminescent purple. Following that, Mei's body also becomes enveloped in the light, and soon she suddenly begins to float in the air.
In a blink, the two of them suddenly teleport into the other side of the glass. Right in front of the uneasy guards faces.
"Time to go home mya!"
(OMG, this is going to get messy... like really messy...)
14.30.31 ~ 15.50.05 August 5th, 62 ASC
Location: depth 8, a small stretch of Aurora isle, contested territory
"Rise and shine, metal boy!" a young technician clanked on the metal exterior of KV-2000, the hulking robot was still undergoing readjustments after a light skirmish with some retrodes, some wreckage and scrap metals littered the vicinity. Seeing that KV-2000 refused to wake up from its Prometheus protocol, the young lad tossed a wrench at its head. This caused a massive over-reaction from KV-2000 as it sprang from its dormant state with all guns loaded.
"Woah, Woah, woah," the technician stepped back from the iron beast, "Relax, it is me, Noah, the machine cult sent me to wake you up."
KV-2000 briefly scanned Noah's identity tag and quickly found him in the data bank of all living Spiral Knights, "Junior technician 3rd Noah Renkens, good afternoon, sorry to terrify you, but this is only a part of my combat programming..."
"It is okay big guy," Noah casually tabbed KV-2000's metal chest, "I was assigned to you about a year ago, remember? Yeah, I am here to maintain your body, to keep you in top notch shape so you can kick Gremlin metal butts! Any way," Noah paused and took out his communicator, "Lady Elize called about half an hour ago, and she wants you at the 'Facility' ... "
"Lady Elize?" KV-2000 asked, "The location of her resident is unknown to me as well as many others, Noah, would you kindly transfer her co-ordinates to my AI data bank?"
"One second," said Noah as he performed a few skillful clicks on his communicator, copying and pasting the address into KV-2000's AI data bank, "There you go... sadly I won't be able to coming along with you, this whole rise project is hush hush..."
Part 2...
@ Almond-Riddle Most promising flier it is. Is this an introduction chapter? Or is it like this test is supervised by one of Elize's unofficial helpers? I need to know what the deal is soon.
Sephilus flew backstage, put on his cloak (Which looks like this (but iridescent black: http://previews.123rf.com/images/bthompso2001/bthompso20010603/bthompso2...) by the way: http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2013/117/3/4/loki_wore_a_cloak_of_...) and awaited further instruction.
"You did great out there Seph! I knew you would pulverize those stupid requirements. Now all that's left is a field test. You have a minute to transcribe a spell and cast it in order to evade a threat. Based of previous mini tests in the training room, you'll take 40 seconds unless you can memorize the spell instantly, which would then take 35. However, at this test, if you fail, you will probably be out of the Rise program permanently." Samson said, out of breath. "WHEEW! Well, best of luck. See you later." With that Samson handed took Sephilus' spellbook out from his pocket, handed to Sephilus, and walked away.
"But where is the test taking place!" Sephilus cried back.
"Right behind you!" Were the last things that Sephilus heard from down the hall.
Sephilus turned around, and he saw a door. Then Sephilus did a couple of quick calculations in his head, and unless he got his math wrong, this was the place he was supposed to take the final test. Sephilus walked in, took a seat in the lone desk that decorated the room, and waited. Almost instantly, a mecha-knight jumped into the room, gave Sephilus a piece of paper, and started a count down "Three. Two. One. GO!" The monotonous voice proclaimed. It was time to start. Sephilus quickly began transcribing the spell. It was some sort of wind barrier. Interesting. Interesting soon became obvious when two knights with blitz needles came out and started loading their guns. And Sephilus still had 10 seconds left. And the gunners had their ammo in faster than Sephilus realized. And they were going to start firing soon. 5 seconds, and the first knight had raised his gun. 4 seconds, the second knight raised his gun. 3 seconds, the first knight's finger goes to the trigger. 2 seconds, the second knight's finger goes to the trigger. 1 second, the knights start firing, and Sephilus casts the spell. The wind barrier goes up immediately, blowing all the bullets back to the knights. The knights, however, manage to shield up before the bullets hit them. Lucky knights.
"Nice going kid! You almost had us there!" One of the knights told Sephilus.
"They told us that the bullets would only get trapped in the barrier. They never said they would bounce back like that, Dave. The kids better than they thought." The other knight said.
"Well, are the people from the Rise project impressed?" Sephilus asked.
"Yes, they are. I forgot to introduce myself, though. I'm Janice." Janice said. "Now come on kid. Let's get some drinks!"
Have you ever been under so much pressure you forgot your name?
Zettai:
Zettai sat in his chair, mist pouring around him as his scales worked in overdrive and froze the air around him.
'Calm down, Zetta! Calm down! If you don't calm down, your friends won't be able to see the test with all the mist in the way. THE TEST. Oh Vog. How could I have... Alright. Let's just start at the top. You can do this!'
He looked to the top of the page. Name: __________ was posted at the top.
Silence passed, and Zettai's scales stopped acting, replaced by a shadow across his face.
'What the hell... WHAT THE HELL IS MY NAME?!' His scales activated once again, smoke flowing off of him like a waterfall, and veins popping from under his bandanna, which cloaked his eyes with shadows. This was the way he concentrated. In the open, however, it would be as if an aura of killing intent surrounded him. The students probably looked a lot like the person in this image.
That was when the door closer to the front opened. Zettai, despite his concentration, was trained to be very attentive -- it was also a part of his genetic makeup, so he instantly looked to the side, where one of the teachers stood. Zettai didn't have any classes with this particular teacher, but his uniform gave him away as he walked into the class and spoke to Zettai's teacher, who looked as if he was in some sort of cold sweat. But there was no reason for him to be in such a condition... Zettai straightened his back, bringing him to a height that would tower over his fellow students despite sitting down. His teacher flinched as he did so, and so did the one who came into the room.
'Does this guy scare [Insert Unneeded Teacher Name here]? I wonder what they're talkin' about...' Zettai lifted his head to look at the ceiling. He found the difference in angle helped with his hearing; this resulted in his eyes looking directly down at the teachers, which ended in another scared reaction from the pair. To get at a better angle to see as well, Zettai, forgetting the fact that he was in the middle of a test, pushed back his chair and rested both of his legs on top of the desk.
'While sitting like this is impolite... The two are talking, they shouldn't notice my posture. Right?' The teacher who entered the room started shaking a bit at the spectacle. The students were shivering as well.
'I must have cooled the air too much... Dang. I'll have to apologize later.' They weren't shivering for that reason, but that is what Zettai believed. Then, the man spoke up after walking behind the desk which was centered at the front.
"Z-Zettai Rei? You've been called for a... Transfer! N-Not that we don't like you here!" He laughed nervously, Zettai's own teacher also laughed. Zettai continued staring. Did this mean he didn't have to write the test? His scales stopped fogging up the classroom, which now had a densely cold smoke up to about knee level, and he pushed his chair back once again to let his feet rest on the ground; making a bad impression wasn't the most courteous action for his teacher.
"I-It's just that... Uh... W-Well, it's a very important project that you'll be moved to! You should be honored!" Zettai stood up, walking to the front, his fellow students quickly making a path by moving their desks. His movements were getting stiff -- he didn't take pressure very well and this whole "should be honored" thing was starting to get to him. To make it seem as if he was relaxed, he slouched a bit, almost dragging his heels against the ground before looming over the teacher.
As he stood in front of the man, he didn't tilt his head to look down; it was too stiff. Instead, he simply allowed his eyes to do the moving. To cover up his loss of confidence reflected in his head not moving... He cracked his knuckles to show his enthusiasm at the project. In the end, he looked like this, looking down on his teacher.
"Let's go." was what he said afterwards; it was all that he could say, otherwise he'd bight his tongue or something else embarrassing. The teacher shook like a leaf, and weakly replied:
"R-Right away."
13.35.05 - 13.37.07 August 5th 62 ASC
---------------
[[So, Zettai will get to whatever vehicle they have set for the journey, and the teacher will drive him to the project location. It can be assumed he'd arrive at about the same time other people do.
Also, I actually counted out the 122 seconds by reading out what I wrote in scenario-mind-film. Not sure how I was supposed to judge the time passed, but that's how I did it.]]
lots of replies
@Midnight: I'll reveal the location once I have all the apps covered
@Snakey: I originally planned to have one of Elize's unofficial helpers pop in the middle of Sephilus' test. But umm, I'll have to revise that now. Please don't post anymore.
@Critzer: writing Critzer's pick up chapter right now.
@Ember: that's some..... serious dedication. I'll be perfectly honest, unless it's a battle scene or an important time-intensive scene, I don't pay too much attention to the timestamp. It's just a device to make cataloguing the story easier. I mostly just make a rough guess at how long the scene probably took in my post.
EDIT: Sorry for the delay, but I fell sick yesterday (still am today). I'll try to get the chapters up as soon as possible.
@Saucce: no offense dude, but once you see what I'm gonna do, you'll realize why a single swarm infected in Haven means absolutely nothing. So even if there's an alarm, we're not gonna need it.
I don't think I've mentioned this before, but in this RP, I drive the story. Any attempt to run a plot or arc without my say so will be put down. Immediately.
Not that I'm trying to sound tyrannical, but I am not allowing this RP to drive into something beyond my control. This is the exact reason why I left Outnumbered afterall.
Ahhhh now i found it... :-:
OOC: Didnt expect you to lump it with the others, sorry.
She looked over at the blue jelly cube then at her watch, to which she made an annoyed groan and puffed her cheeks. She hung her head low and as the spike trap was deactivated, she was released from it, now being able to move off of the trap. She had a sort of look of lose as her wounds healed quickly after leaving the spike pit. She reached into her pocket and grabbed one her favorite candies, the almond riddle king.
The candy figure wore an almighty crown and wore a well defined suit, it was really detailed. She loved the candy cause it was filled with protein but was also good and sweet. She started with the head, biting it off, without hesitation. She walked up to the jelly and flicked it, watching a ripple go throughout the body, making her giggle a little.
"Hello Mr.Jelly, where is your pipe and fake hair at...?" She teased "And where shall we be going?"
