The Rise Soldiers RP (Apps open)
"Alright then," Sephilus said. "Let's get some hot drinks, shall we?"
@Almond-Riddle I forgot to mention Sephilus had this weird side hobby: When Sephilus isn't practicing his magic or flight maneuvers, he is trying tea. He has an obsession with tea. He has tried every tea that Haven has to offer, so he likes to get imported tea, illegal tea, any type of tea. Sephilus will do almost anything for a new type of tea to try. He knows the flavors of tea by heart. He is a tea maniac. He just plain loves tea. A lot. He really likes tea. It's the only thing he will ever drink He collects tea leaves, and if he gains a certain spell, he will gain an inter-dimensional vault full of tea leaves.
sorry, I've been really busy lately. I'll try to get the chapter up as soon as I can.
Again, so sorry everyone. I'm still pretty busy with a lot of things, including, funnily enough, the actual SK game.
I don't know when I'll be back, but I definitely will. I have all the major plot points mapped up for this story already, now I just need to actually put them in.

(just separate from the story, just some idling)
Critzer rips off two fingers from each hand, letting out a moan of pleasure. She then begins to juggle the four into the air, the removed fingers growing back. Their height increases with each toss until finally she takes each one and throws them at Ember-Break "RAWR"..... Im so bored
"W-WHAT TH-- WASN'T THAT PAINFUL?! Now you're juggling th-- W-WAIT, DON'T THROW THEM AT ME!!" Ember-Break shouts while examining the situation, and then proceeds to dodge in the most appropriate way possible. After dodging the four fingers, she wipes a dot of sweat (if Isorans sweat) off her brow and looks over at Critzer once again.
'Considering the moans... You'd think she was taking pleasure in it... Ah. I got it.' Ember-Break drops one fist onto her open palm, and concludes the situation. She then points dramatically and proclaims her finding.
"You're an M, aren't you?"
I'm just as bored. Not sure whether using Almond's RP space is a good idea for this, though; he might smack us upside the head or something.
Critser smiles at Ember then dashes up to her. She runs a finger from Embers chest up to her chin, talking in smooth yet terrifying voice "No pain, no gain. I want to be entertained, breaking my fingers is my pain, yet pain is to my enjoyment so its a win win, maybe i can show you the glories of pain..." Her voice trails off as her other hand slowly grabs Ember's hand and begins bending a finger back.
Critzer merely stares wide-eyed into Ember's own pair, a wide smile on her face, only interrupted my the finger being bitten hard in her jaw, the one that had just flicked off of Ember's chin.
"Ah, what are you -- ow Ow OW. STOP." Ember then jumps back from Critzer's grip on her hand before she could cause any serious damage.
"While I'm sure that whatever neurological setup you have towards pain is just plain great, I have no such feelings towards physical damage. Also, my limbs don't grow back, unlike yours. So there's that." Ember then proceeds to trail off with more explanations as to how, while her body was modified to give off enough heat to melt down Tier 3 Red Rovers, she didn't poke people just to see their reactions; she then went on to monologue as to how she obtained said modifications. But it was all terribly boring.
"Anyways, what I'm trying to get at is, that despite my body having special traits -- just like how yours is special in the fact you feel pleasure through pain -- I don't abuse my special traits and try to push them on others." As she concludes, she sets both of her hands on her hips, and breathes out a deep sigh -- as if she was using a single breath throughout the entire explanation.
Then, a thought occurred to her.
'Wait. Touching me causes pain. Critzer loves pain. Oh Ecto Drop.' As if she were a professional athlete, Ember turned quickly with her heels, causing her direction to shift in a complete 180 from the pain-loving knight, and then proceeded to sprint with all her might.
Critzer giggled then began to laugh at what Ember thought was the cause of her love of pain. "You see Ember, i feel every single little injury done to me, you could say i t feels worse then if it where to happen to you. My nerves..... They are constantly growing back and being sensitive... like a baby.... and then they are ripped outta my body or my skin is peeled off my body. And so you learn to deal with it then you learn to like it... Its me, my psych that loves pain, not my body~"
She noticed the Knight she was talking to had began to run away and so she lets out a sigh, beginning to chew at her nails then at her finger.
((Soooo, is it too late to jump on board?
I think I'll bring along someone based on an old fanfic character...))
Name: Milyn
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Species: Isoran (Knight)
Abilities: Milyn isn't very powerful herself. But where she excels is her Sprite Command ability. In lieu of a standard weapon (which Milyn is simply too frail to wield properly), she can command two Battle Sprites at once, and these Battle Sprites are able to fight directly, with more abilities.
If the Battle Sprites grow too tired or too damaged to battle, Milyn can swap them out for different Sprites, though only so many Sprites can be held in reserve. Each Sprite also grants a powerful defensive perk, allowing Milyn to focus on avoiding damage. Battle Sprites are not easily killed permanently due to their mechanical nature; repairs are almost always possible.
While her current team will probably be heavily influenced (if not entirely chosen) by the Rise Project, it will most likely include a Drakon with Firebolt and Fire Shield (which has been adapted as Fire Trap), as well as Dragon Fang, a melee-based skill of Milyn's own devising that uses Drakon's tough jaw as a weapon. This is mostly because her Drakon is how Milyn's Sprite Command skills were discovered and developed.
Background story: "I can be the best, too! Drakon, get 'em with a Fire Trap!"
In this dark era of Cradle's history, the Krogmo War Games have grown more popular as a means of escape from the harsh world outside, as well as a form of training. The Coliseum utilized simulation technology combined with training gear to create a battlefield where the only deviation from reality was that pain and death were rendered little more than a slap on the wrist.
Milyn, thrown out by Project: Rise due to the fact that they thought she was useless (and dead), was taken in by Kragg the Unbreakable, a career Guardian in the Krogmo Games. Kragg raised Milyn, and on her eighth birthday, gave her a Drakon; this was when she learned about her Sprite Command ability.
Eventually, Milyn decided to join her foster father's team. King Krogmo, after hearing of her Sprite Command ability, was all too happy to have some new talent in his arena, and Milyn, eager to prove herself, excelled alongside her trusty Drakon.
Unfortunately, two years later, Kragg was killed in battle against Polyps, and Milyn was taken back by the Rise Project at her current age. But though losing her foster father was a deeply saddening experience, it didn't break Milyn's spirit, and neither did the Rise Project. With her trusty Battle Sprites by her side, nothing could stand in her way!
((The Krogmo War Games obviously do not have to be a significant story arc.))
Ah I think I'll have to abandon this RP. I just don't have the time for it. I thought I would but I was wrong. being a GM takes up waaaay more time and planning compared to being a normal player.
If anyone wants to take over, feel free to go ahead. Use my characters or don't, it's up to you. I might come back again to check up on things, but don't count on it.
I don't think it's possible to "take over" this RP. All we know is that the Rise Project is currently taking its members for a team of... Some sort.
We didn't get to the point where we knew why things were starting up in the project. We just knew they were. It's sorta like The Yore of Almire all over again. The RP died because we had no idea how to proceed -- even if someone hi-jacked the GM position, there was no foreseeable direction.
No helpin' it, though. Oh well. I'll find a way to recycle these Apps eventually.
This sounded really really interesting...... I mean i could of had my character rip her arm off and beat people to death with it ;_;
Alright. I'll lay it all out.
-The Rise Project began because of a sudden report from Isora (this RP is working under the assumption that the Morai never actually managed to take over Isora, that there is actually still a fighting force of Knights over there) that a large fleet of Morai ships were on their way to Cradle because of an intelligence leak, the Morai now know of Cradle's "mysterious" energy readings.
-The Isoran Knights are unfortunately incapable of sending reinforcements to the Cradle knights because of how hectic things in Isora have gotten. Which means that the Cradle knights are entirely on their own.
-The reason the Rise project had to be restarted early was because a high ranking member of the Spiral Order had betrayed them and given vital intelligence to the Crimson Order.
-Major Spoiler, the high ranking member betrayed the knights because he (mmmm, this sounds ridiculous when I write it) had fallen in love with a mecha knight. And that mecha knight had been hijacked and taken controlled of by the Spiral Order.
- A large taskforce was made to recover the high ranking member, who was now a prisoner in a high-security Crimson Order facility.
-The taskforce was mostly wiped out, which explains why the order is now suddenly short on manpower.
-the elder gentleman who picked up Sephilus is named Vamas. He's a knight who specializes in 'Arcane' technology, and is going to be in charge of 'magic classes'.
-Narwhal teaches outdoors survival, Elize takes combat training, and Rhadon handles general education.
-the first arc of the story was supposed to be a training arc, where all the apps get outfitted for battle as well as have some cliche school-hijinks.
-the location of the training facility for the apps was supposed to be an old Knight Academy building that wasn't used much anymore, to make a school setting.
-the second arc was supposed to be the first major mission for the apps, that is, the storming of he Crimson Order facility to rescue the high ranking ex-member of the Spiral Order.
The third arc is something I haven't figured out yet. But I was leaning towards either exploring the core, or having the Morai arrive already.
I really don't wanna see this RP die either. But if I stay as a GM, I won't have enough time to properly do my GM duties. If someone took over as co-GM or something, I might be able to continue to stay here.
Anything else anyone needs to know?
The only problem with the plot is that KV-2000 (my app) is a fully primed and well programmed killing machine that is the spiritual successor of my app KV-103 in another RP game called Machinauts. I could see KV-2000 do some real fire exercise with the group and become their combat dummy for the mean time. Although this is not the most interesting plot lines I have read in treasure vault, I still can't get over the fact that why does every SK fan fic have to have something to do with Morai or the planet cradle? Why can't it be four knights stranded on a planet that is powered by the ruinous Swarm seed and need to fight off a horde of swarm worshiping cultists to get back to cradle? That sounds fun.
If you want to make a plot like that, then why not start up your own RP/Fan-Fic for it? If you think it'll be fun, make it. Your idea may never be realized otherwise...
Also, I don't see any problems with this plot, including how KV-2000 would be involved... Even if it's already fully functional, introductory arcs are still necessary to reveal character beliefs, motives, and relationship-connections that lead towards actions. Even if KV-2000 didn't exactly have any of those, the introductory chapter would have to show his loss of things said above.
@Almond-Riddle
What would taking over as co-GM entail?
Mostly managing the RP. If I hadn't already spoiled the whole story, being co-GM would've given my co-GM creative liberties on how they want to narrate the story and/or guide the movements of the characters.
Basically, they would have the normal duty of a GM (managing players, moving the story) except I'm the one who decides the overall plot and direction of the story. To put it in movie terms, the co-GM would be the director, but I would be the writer.
I have no time. Like... None. I have maybe an hour each day to respond to several other threads, do Homework, and give myself a tiny bit of gaming time. S'yeah.
Okay, there. I fixed the timestamp. Still need Sephilus to do something though, just a short post of him complying or something is enough.
