alrighty. So how's your life?
Any old ghosts that remember me still around? What games are you playing now?
Eh. I'm pretty sure a lot of us were like that when we started out.
I wrote in txt speak quite a bit when I first arrived here and I had a really bad temper. (I still do, but I'm a lot more reasonable nowadays)
"I once wrote in txt speak.'' Ah.. I like to call that nub speak but that's just me. :P
@Krabob Lovely job! I think that's a neat program you made!
Galax you're not fooling anyone except maybe yourself.
Everyone grows up, and although you're probably in the phase of "rejection" right now (i.e., everything that you don't like that you did is rejected in your mind), that doesn't mean what happened didn't happen. All you really have to do is live as you are now instead of spend you life now trying to hide who you were.
Back when I was little I was super obsessed with that old gamecube game "Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg". Got super embarrassed by it once I changed focus. Now I look back and say "That was one fun game!"
It's also much easier to talk to you when you aren't making an alt every 2 months to try to cover up your old person.
Just saying, making a new alt won't do anything to hide your past if you have the same personality
Uh, new alt as in new account or new username? Also what do you mean by fooling though? "All you really have to do is live as you are now instead of spend you life now trying to hide who you were" Ok, I can change my name to Galax-Forums for now on(Even though i already deleted that knight).
@Vohtarak Oh trust me, I was a much different person before I met this forums. i was kinda extroverted until a curtain event that is too personnel, so now I am introverted, and really snappy. Though I understand what both of you are saying and I will take that advice.
I haven't noticed a change
Aside from posting a little less often, I think
Uh, maybe you weren't on this forum long enough to see my...."Special".....Posts... And I'm saying that the event happened before I even came to the forums. Just to let you know just in case If i didn't clarify enough.
Just a heads' up, introvert more closely means "gets energy from being alone", whereas extrovert is "gains energy from being around others". I mean, I understand what you mean, just people usually don't have a complete switch-over to how they get energized.
I'm very much an introvert but it doesn't mean I can't be chatty.
"Fooling", as in, new usernames don't change who you are. You change who you are with the experiences you acquire. No need to run from your past, because then you focus more on it. Live and let live.
OK, to clarify, which username were you using when you were "special" so to speak
Edit: yes, I remember galaxthekillrmech, that name showed up shortly after I made my forum account
@Vohtarak The username GalaxtheKillrmech. I just switched my name to Galax-Forums just so you guys don't get mixed up again.
@Fangel Oh. I meant that I barely went outside when i first joined the forums. The reason you don't see me post very often Is because I started going outside more. See you tomorrow guys.
@Fangel

If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
If you woke up in a different time and place with only the knowledge you have now, you would be the same person but really confused. All your experiences are still behind you, and this is just another one that can change who you are over time.
But if that place was in a dumpster behind KFC, would you truly be the same person?
With the introduction of the name change pass, knowing people is 50% harder.
Pebble in the Sky, by Isaac Asimov, is a book that tells the story of a man teleported several thousands of years after his time, when the earth has become radioactive from an unkown cause (if you didn't read other books from the same author, then you know everything). I suggest a good read.
TL;DR: you are forced to do things you wouldn't normally do to accept a new culture, language ect., so you pretty much become another person. or have a chance to at least.
faeyd, knowing old people is harder, new people are always new.
All this talk of being taken out of your culture and timezone reminds me of Christine Love's works; John from DTIPBIJAYS, The Pale Bride and the player from Analogue, and then both Old *Mute and second *Mute in Hate Plus.
Posting about Akame ga kiru. Threads too depressing anyway.
Why "ugh"? The manga adaptation is different. I also liked Mine's Tsundere personality although you, Hex, might disagree. Maybe she dies in the manga maybe she doesn't. Despite all the super hight jumps anime characters make, i'm surprised they don't die XD.
*Rambling ended*
"Where could I find you elsewhere?"
The internet is always with you XD.
Draycos, do you play "Osu!"? (the ONLY game I play now) I sometimes play this game ( I'm going on today for the 9,000 new missions added XD)
What genres of games do you like?
Series genre (Character & Plot unrelated) spoilers in this post.
The protagonists were fine. Even the main antagonists were fine. (Honest, the Emporer, and Esdeath)
I don't know what happened in the Manga; I'm hoping it's better than the anime because it usually is, but I'm saying "ugh" from the perspective of finished watching the anime. Seryu Ubiquitous overtook Daphne and her dragon obsession on my ranking of most hated anime characters of all time due to how schizo the producers were with how they wanted to characterize her, and then how lame her just desserts was.
The trope of "characterize characters heavily so we can tug heartstrings when we kill them off later" would have been less painfully dull if they at least tried to conceal it instead of making it blaringly obvious from episode 8. (earlier if you're particularly genre savvy) And what's with the "Kill three guys, die on the third" thing they were doing? And the "Everytime we bring in a not-Jaeger or not-Night Raid character, we kill them within the next episode or two for lols"? The writers we so kill-happy it took a lot of meaning from death scenes.
Wave is literally a reskinned Tatsumi. I guess that's not immediately a bad thing, but it still adds to the predictability of everything already.
However, the final episode I must admit did redeem a lot of the series for me. Pulled out all the stops, and apologized for the predictability of the series: Got rid of a character I totally wasn't expecting to go, and they didn't pull a "haha we fooled you, they didn't die; they had the mystical amulet of plot/friendship/macguffin" ordeal that's so effing prominent in anime. And then what [redacted] did after they lost the final battle made me slow clap, was totally out of the blue and kind of cute. Retarded when compared to what normally happens in anime, but still cute. Leone's scene couldn't have been done better either.
And then they finished the series on a good note. It's a pity so many anime try to leave their series open on a crappy note so that they can maybe continue it at a later date.
Maybe I'm getting too genre savvy nowadays... predictable anime just pains me to watch. Sorry if I sound so biased.
I just finished watching Kuuchuu Buranko too. That was amazing, as it was totally relatable. And then that closing subline! "Nobody is perfect"
I was just about to post the syringe scene but I think it might be a little inappropriate
I figure I should just bump this instead of making another, identical thread. I have some good news!
I recently started playing Phantasy Star Online 2, and was wondering if any of you would be interested in joining me. I met up with another old ghost, Shadowstarkirby, plus some others not from SK, and made the equivalent of a guild.
It plays similarly to SK in spirit if not in style, with weapon types and their special attacks being akin to SK's itemization of loadouts and weapon choices.
Talk to me through Steam or just post here if you're curious or need help setting up.
I'm interested... what I've seen so far, it reminds me of Exteel, except that was derpy-awesome mecha.
Where exactly did you get the client from? Did you have to login to some site? My internet is derping up at the moment because it's peak usage time... So I'm not sure if I can't access these dl links due to my connection, or the links are broken.
EDIT: nvm found a link to a guide.
I'm not sure if I count (I joined days before New Year's 2012), but I guess I'll explain my whereabouts:
I still play this game a lot, mainly thanks to to the fact there's been quite a bit of new things to do, but I also have been drawing art on my tumblr and deviantART, and I might even start commissions here.
Here's the games I've gotten into:
Touhou: I've been trying to beat all the Extra Bosses and I nailed Raiko down (I beat Mamizou too but I haven't uploaded the replay to YouTube), but I failed Ran, Flandre, Mokou, Nue and Suwako (apparently not even MarisaBreaksyourgame can save me from her), while I actually never got to Yukari or Koishi.
Kerbal Space Program: The game updated and mostly fixed the issues present from 0.90, which means I've been doing a lot more of exploring spaaaaaaaaaa-*BLAM!*
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Oh yes, this game's been pretty nostalgic for me and definitely fun, which means I've been playing it ever since it came out in 2004. Yeah. That long. But I'll be waiting a while to see if RollarCoaster Tycoon World is any good after the disaster that was the mobile game.
Various 3DS games have also sucked my free time away from me.
So, uh, that's that. I kind of don't remember you, but we could always build that bridge between us.
Hey I'm back boiz.
Haven't touched Spiral Knights in...two years?
I don't miss the game much. But I miss the good boiz.
These days I'm playing DotA 2 and Gmod.
Welcome back Arkate! I doubt that you know me(because you only posted about two times and left since I had come to the forums) but I remembered your username for the two years(it's a habit of mine to remember good usernames) you were gone.
I'm not actually a beta tester... I know what went down in closed beta, but I started playing a couple months after release.
'Suggestions Dragon' works well enough, I guess.
