Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask what you think of the gold wolf armour costume. I'm trying to find my costume that I will be settling into after i get to be Vanguard. You could rate it, but the main points I'm looking for in opinions are

1. Accesorisability (wow, such word)
2. How cool you think it looks
3. Is it too common around Haven (not unique enough)

Thanks everyone!

Hey Red-Reticle [again!]

1. Accessorisability.
Well... no. The only things that really fit with it is the gold wolf tail and wings. Regal accessories don't really match the shade of yellow of the gold wolf armour.

2. How cool you think it looks
In my opinion, doesn't really look quite nice, however you could sort of use the helm with other costume armours such as the thunderous plate mail.

3. Is it too common around Haven?
Well, it's quite common in Haven already. I've seen plenty sell it and many buying it and wearing the gold wolf costume at times.

If you're looking into making a good costume, this thread will be a very enlightening read.

Beyond that, I pretty much agree with Meep-The-Bank. Its colors don't really match any accessories. It looks nice I guess, but you might as well just get any other set of wolver armor, because those at least match various color schemes.

In essence, I'd rather go with a plain ol' Wolver Coat than the Gold Wolf armor. Pick a few tasteful regal accessories, and a regal themed helm like the Spiral Demo Helm and you're golden (no pun intended).

Yeah no accessories seem to

Yeah no accessories seem to mess well with it other then the actual gold tail and gold dragon wings.

In regards to looks its OK, personally i think the Iron Wolf costume looks much better.

And lastly it it very common since a lot of people who couldn't acquire high end costumes could easily get their hands on the Gold costumes. Its now the most cookie cutter generic costume there is now besides all the other Wolver items, so if you're going for uniqueness I would try anything that isn't Wolver.

Aesthetically speaking, Gold Wolf actually looks pretty grand - however, since the set is relatively common and doesn't match most accessories, it lacks the unique flair one can get by mix-matching other gear. That said, you can literally get the full set for a dime on Steam, so if you like it, go for it.

Additionally, you can use a program called Spiral-Spy to create and preview outfits and help you decide on your dream costume. =)

It's meh.

Most wolver costumes are super common. If you're looking for something unique, you won't be finding your calling there honestly. Gold Wolf set especially because it can't really mesh well with other color schemes other than "storm", which is an old promo that you likely won't be finding costumes/accessories for at a reasonable price.

Spiral Spy is a good way to go about figuring out a unique costume. Try to find your favorite costume combo then find a neat match! Matching your personal color up with a color scheme is one way to see how well it'll work (i.e., clashing colors can make or break a set. Vile stuff just doesn't look great with a yellow personal color unless heavily accessorized, however a purple or green to compliment the colors looks great!)

Thank you!

Thank you all for the replies, and I understand now that I should probably find something else. I was just looking for opinions on this, and you have all posted something useful for me to find my costume!

Again, thanks!

Not so fast...

Well if you ask me, I actually own a Gold Wolf Set, not as bad you think it is.

1. Accesorability:

Not just Gold themed accessories go with it, any accessory with contrast to the gold color surprisingly meshes with it nicely, for example, I have Wings of Winter and a Crest of Winter with Tails Tails. On the helm, I have the Crown of Winter and Golden Laurel, keeping the theme of "summer" and "winter" if you will.

2. How does it look:

To me, it's not any more special than the regular wolver coats. However, if accesorized correctly, it can be a visually appealing costume.

3. Uniqueness:

Though it sells quite frequently, they aren't worn often so it has some depth of uniqueness.
