8 to 12 players are thrown into an arena. In this arena is one (or numerous) large monster (boss monster obviously). The task of the knights is to work together to defeat the monster as quickly as possible. Each monster has 5 stages when the monster loses enough HP it will go to the next stage. As it goes through stages it will gain more power to it's hits, damage resistance, and more status resistance (on the last stage it is completely immune).

If the knights can defeat the monster before the clock runs out everyone gains krogmo coins. The top damaging player gets an extra coin.

Suggested monsters for this mode:
Jelly Green Giant (minis wouldn't become status immune)
Collector (a pair of them)
Giant Toxoils (with support from numerous fire monsters)
Apocrean Harvester (with graves all over the arena that spawn enemies sometimes)
Tortodrones (a Trio)
Vanaduke (can summon more monsters at any time without limit
Black Kats (5 of them with Phantom Support)

These boss monsters will have much more HP than they naturally would and have no chance to flinch. None of these monsters have a weakness and take neutral damage from all sources. Players use the LD shields instead of their regular ones.

sounds cool

I love the idea. It's a great idea for players who likes a challenge and want to and can work well together. but i feel there should be a limit of like 3 to 5 boss monsters can be summoned at once. This way we don't get overwhelm with the infinite spawns of little monsters that are summoned from the bosses.

Multiple monsters spawning in would makes bombers very important with their ability to handle many monsters at the same time. Spacing between bosses would be OK for some but others are much more of a threat when they come in large numbers.
There could be some spacing for them so long as multiple monsters (toxoils, kats, tortos) are on the field.

Hmm.

It would be nice to have PvE minigames. Not sure if they should be through King Krogmo, but they'd still be fun.

For the Black Kats, why not have a Margel fight instead? Margel spawns black kats so it'd be interesting.

Harvester is sort of a no... They are really easy to fight. Why y'all have problems with them I don't even know. However, we could pull a Roarmulus Twins and have two harvesters. With two harvesters you have to focus on dodging both of 'em, and makes teamwork more mandatory.

Highest damaging player shouldn't gain one extra coin, instead the last players to damage the boss (per phase) are put into an RNG pool and one of them is selected at random to get an extra krogmo coin. Either that or the top 3 damaging players. I want to emphasize teamwork over damage because that's what people will be gloating over anyways.

These boss monsters will have much more HP than they naturally would
Well yeah, I'd assume as much with 8-12 players in a party. The "not weak to any damage type" could be stretched so that they have a 5% weakness and resistance to any damage type. Vanaduke could be weak to shadow and resistant to normal because RNG decided, but it's not big enough to warrant a change in fighting strategy.

Certain bosses should be relegated to their respective events. Idk about Margel himself..... what about those 3 Kats that the other gear is based on. One was a Bomber, one a gunner and one a Melee user. Why not have 3 giant Kats that use different attacks together based on those guys?

Harvester is he is wouldn't work, if he got a buff for the arena then it might work. Faster attacks, able to catch multiple targets (even strikers) and a really dark map to play on.

Maybe not give anything to the players because bombers would be extremely useful for certain bosses but their damage wouldn't be comparable to others. Rather why not just give a bonus for beating the boss, with the time limit and all that is going on it would be difficult for players to win.

So basically...

So basically we could fight the three bosses I outlined over here? Would be interesting. Fighting all the kat tribe leaders would be a whole lot of fun, and if all three were here at once? That would be hard for even a team of 12! All for it!

tottally..to

Tottally agree with fighting the cat tribes amd maybe there can be a rare cjance of meeting a boss that is created exclusively for that minigame like vog?

Also the Jelly Green Giant gets back in the ring too. I would love to see some old removed bosses (not gold ones) be re-accessible. The reason for why they were removed was that some were too hard. With 12 people I don't see that being too much of a problem, and for the weaker ones they could get neat buffs.

Imagine fighting a Vog cub that tracks on every bite, teleports on every bullet, and every time it pops out of the floor it creates a small fire haze (like a Ruby Greaver does).

awesome

Awesome idea holy nightmare. Though, instead of a cub, i would really like if the.dad or mom would show up hahha.

I also already created a list of monsters and vog was of them. Hmm, why don't i necro that thread.

I LOVE IT

This is a great idea, I think we need to have some PvE minigames for those (like me) who don't find fun in LD or BN (even though I love BN).

I think the 3 kat tribe leaders and Margrel as bosses for this would be great, the original tortodrones, the jelly green giant, and vog would be great to fight. Harvesters are too easy, so I'd say no to that. Unless we had a reinvented version of him, that maybe had harder hitting attacks such as missiles or shock pulses, than sure, I'd be for that.

Naturally the monsters that don't have capabilities at dealing spread damage would get some new attacks to help with that area.
