I've found the chat box to interrupt core gameplay components.

YouTube videos often contain chat segments that the viewers do not want to pay attention to.

Sometimes, I want to feel quiet and peaceful in Haven without having Zone chat being flooded.

I hate typing /clear.

Please consider adding a UI button that hides/shows the chat box. Thank you.

WEll..

It's simple, and no reason to not do it. I support having a window toggle button for it in the options menu.

You can type /leave [channel] to leave that channel. You can find more chat commands listed here: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Chat

@Rpg-Knight: You can only leave zone and trade channels, but you cannot ignore everytime you find a material or Rarity from the Clockworks, nor can you ignore all the chat that is constantly being generated by all the players.

Hiding the chat will improve everyone's experience.

Dont like chat baloons? Rename the "Spiral Knights/rsrc/ui/wordballoon" folder to something else, and they disappear until you rename it back to what its supposed to be!

The text on the left is... more difficult to find out because its not reloaded on load screens [probably only on startup].

*changes should only applied in between load screens. If they are not, you may get ERRORERROR backgrounds for where the text boxes should be going.

Ehh...

Honestly we shouldn't have to go modify game files for an option that ought to be toggleable Chat tabs would be especially useful, this suggestion just also says "let us see none of the things".

I don't have a problem about people flooding the chat or people talking too much in Haven and talking a lot of non-sense, but I think it's a good "feature" (or what ever you call it) for the players who does not like to have the chat flooded and just wants to have a peaceful day in Haven.
