I have not played SK since the new missions have come out and I am considering coming back at least to try them out as well as just enjoy what I really love about this game. However, the biggest drag of this game for me is the fact that FSC has been the best place to farm crowns for a while now. Are any of the new missions on par or close to as efficient as FSC or is FSC still the place to grind crowns? Thanks guys and have a good one!
Question Concerning Crown Farming
The guild Lancer Knightz maintains an extremely detailed data set about such things:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Lancer_Knightz_(Guild)/Missions
They don't have any data for Dreams and Nightmares yet. Ignoring that one for now, the missions with the highest earnings per level are King of Ashes, Operation Crimson Hammer (if you vendor the mask, as Lilla-Gumman said), and the four danger missions.
Once you get bored with missions and want to try the Arcade, you might want to consult Skepticraven's Arcade data.
Thank you very much for the quick responses and I will check out the links/methods you have described to me! Again thank you guys very much and have a good one!
if you got extra eternals to burn you can do och runs, it gets a bit boring but you can easily make 40k+ and mats in bout 2 hours once you can get fast at the runs, skep and i do runs every now and then when we need money for more junk

And when we need intelz and spicy burritos.

A lot of the "farming rate" data is influenced by how fast the player(s) can complete depths. If 2-3 arenas appear in the T1 arcade without any wait time, that situation will often produce extremely high crown rates (this actually occurred during the first tortodrone event). It's just... unreliable to expect such nice arcade gates like that. Of course if you can run 25 minute FSC runs or 20 minute OCH runs, not much in the arcade can compete with that.
A key arcade depth to watch for that most players don't think about is the Aurora Isles theme. It has a payout that's pretty good (but not as obnoxiously OP as Arenas).
O:CH has been on par or better than FSC for solo running since the sprite update if you have enough orbs to craft masks with and then vendor them, but otherwise FSC is still it for CR. On the bright side, we got Dreams and Nightmares, which is now the go-to source of Radiants. It's also quite challenging (I'd say a bit easier than Grinchlin Assault) and is not restricted to any specific rotation of missions or events, which is very nice.
