Sky background

In certain levels, you can look up and see the sky. And in some parts, you can see this.

A piece is missing.

The sky isn't real. The sky is just a bunch of painted tiles or something.
Actually, now that I take more time to look at that background, there's this.

That thing is holding together (and moving) the bunches of sky pieces.
There's also a bunch of other parts which I thought were just floating in the air, but they're actually parts of the "sky". Like this one:

And attached to those, are rods with blue/yellow orbs attached.
