SK's damage cap?

Hello. There is one thing i'm curious about, and it's the max damage you can possibly deal in Spiral Knights.
The idea came to me when someone I know IRL told me that the most damage they ever dealt in a single strike was around 2,000 something damage, and at one point, I talked about something like, 'Hey, what if the damage cap is 9,999 like in other RPGs?'

However, I was told that Spiral Knights' damage cap is 999,999, when some kind of turret self-destructs itself I believe. Any confirmation on this?

This question gets asked occasionally. Players try to rig up optimal scenarios, with multiple sprite perks in effect, etc. For example, I found these threads by searching Google for "maximum damage site:forums.spiralknights.com" (without the quotation marks). Perhaps you will find them helpful.

It helped to an extent, at least I know the perks and such that need to be applied, however I have not been able to find the actual amount of damage dealt.

One thing I did find though, is that under some of these buffs, they got Blitz Needle to deal 509 per bullets. That's with Blitz though, it's not the most damaging weapon if we're talking per attack.

Again, do note that, knight 'LakeshowX' got a Divine Avenger to deal around 2,000 damage, notably after sparking and probably an attack orb and poisoning Vanaduke.

However, if we took the right measures, such as:

-Recon signal flare
-Deadly Shadow cloak and Frenzified Firestorm
-DMG bonus max
-CTR bonus max
-Attack bonus pickup
-Spark of Life (Probably need to self-destruct your knight)
-Lv 10 Divine Avenger

I theorize that if all these conditions were met within a Shadow Lair (Which is kinda like depth 30 where dmg is maximized), this could deal around 3,000 damage or more, but this is only speculation; i'd have to have a hands-on experience with performing this.

That thread may be useful if you want to dive into extracting the exact value. All you would need is a minimized damage value for DA/GF/Acheron on D30. The rest of the math has been figured out.

Oh and that -9999 is from the turret useable self-destructing.
