Easy and bullet proof way to add meaning and purpose to the game without a big update.
Just add log in rewards and leaderboard ranking rewards.
Do those small things and watch a slowly dying horse become a once beautiful, energetic mustang.
How to increase the amount of active spiral knights.
Telling me we used to have log in rewards doesn't discredit the fact we need them again.
And I know we have a leaderboard... But we don't have rankings rewards.
Those are simple things I would add to increase daily log-ins and decrease the amount of inactive players.
BRAIN STROM ~ Instead of daily log-in rewards, make them mission based. So you have to do a set of tasks around spiral knights before you can get the reward(maybe at the end you'll get a orb or something).

Now you're starting to flesh out your suggestion. Keep going.
We already have exactly that kind of daily log-in reward, except that the reward is prestige, which has no practical effect (especially after 45,000). What if your reward tied into prestige? What if prestige could be used to buy something? Maybe something for your guild, thereby increasing the importance of guilds?
What kind of rewards for rankings? For which rankings? Lockdown? Clockworks levels completed?
Great bobb. See I made the post as a kick starter for inventive ideas like yours,Now if we can get a dev to reply at least that would make my world go round.
Bopp to be called Bobb from now on. Now lets hear those creative ideas of yours, Bobb.
Bopp you were helping. Idk how any of the things I said could have been token sarcastically !! If it was token sarcastically my dearest apologies !! You helped me turn my idea into a well thought-out dream.
Feel free to move your post or make a new one over to the suggestions subforum, since you are making a game suggestion.
On top of that I can feel better about pointing out inadequate details and make suggestions myself based on 3 years of suggesting the exact same things you're going on about right now.
Maybe cause high pprestige by guild members to cause guild income, so that way people would not have to farm nearly as much?
For the daily rewards I would think what would work would be making it so that when you complete 5 depths of the clockworks( appropriate to your rank, sothat way vanguards wouldnt go straight to t1 to do it) you get the daily rewards, start with a smallish amount of crowns then as you log on day after day you eventually end up with an eternal.
EXAMPLE:
Day one:
Complete 5 depths of t3.
Reward: 2,500 crowns.
Day two: Complete 5 depths of t3
Reward: advanced orb
Day 3: See above requirements
Reward: 5,000 crowns
DAY 4: elite orb
day 5: 100 CE
day 6: Eternal.
Let me know if you think any of the rewards would be too OP or the parameters are too easy.
Okay the post actually ended up over here, is go time:
Just add log in rewards and leaderboard ranking rewards.
Log in rewards would be nice, yes. I would recommend it being something more though - log on and play for something rather than log on just to log off. Feeding battle sprites fulfills that role however they really aren't something you can look at and see progress every day with unless you have a bunch of materials to use. As such, I would add a special prize wheel to the end of daily prestige missions.
Alternatively, all you have to do is make prestige actually do something. People would log in every day to increase their prestige level if there was some end goal - something like access to a special shop with discounts on supply depot items, a prestige-locked zone chat channel (or something more like a guild chat for your prestige rank with the ability to turn it off or jump to a lower prestige chat level).
Prestige is currently the "daily log on reward" but there's really not a reward for getting it. Changing that would be helpful.
Secondly, leaderboard ranking rewards are not really super needed. If anything it should be like the old super brawl crown - an easily identifiable cosmetic item that is bound to you but you only own it for a limited time. Leaderboards currently are not a good indication of anything other than time spent playing in a week, so anything more than a limited bragging cosmetic would be a bit much outside of, say, a handful of sparks of life for all in the top 10.
We used to have login rewards: 100 energy per day.
We have a kind of leaderboard ranking, in the Social menu.
Perhaps you can flesh out your suggestion with commentary on how these were/are inadequate, and what you might do differently.
