Can't access Spiral Knights on Steam in China?

Uh I would have to say it is probably the Chinese government doing this..they are pretty notorious for not wanting people to see things. Probably just the fact there is open discussion on the game, who knows.

China wouldn't care about that, silly.

Taiwan has the same issue. I'll need to ask friends in New Zealand, the Phillipines, and Australia to see if Oceania is entirely blocked off.

Hmn...

There are Australian players, but because of the distance to the servers, they suffer a certain amount of lag that gives them play challenges. China would be even worse.

More likely is that there is some bureaucratic hurdle for selling software in China. Whether that actually stops Three Rings from making the game available or just gives them a financial incentive not to make it available, I don't know.

There's some funny region locking going on with Steam. They seem to still be sorting this out.

You guys...

... realize that you can run the game directly from a browser, right? And barring that, OOO also offers a downloadable client. Might have to wait until next week for Steam and non-Steam accounts to be integrated, though.

I'm in the Philippines and I can access the game from browser/desktop. Dunno bout steam.
