so cronus creates a discussion thread before we know what its about. cant be just bug fixes, has to be something new even if its something small. they are also calling it 7/27 "release" like they are releasing something, not just "patch". my hype is rising as im typing this :o

Please enlighten me to how reducing upkeep costs heavily and placing a promo box for energy is supposed to keep CE prices down?
I don't think the GMs are aware that it's not that they aren't paywalling enough, but rather not enough people on to have the usual p2w validate p2w'ing anymore. Give f2p a reason to log in, so people feel there's an actual community to spend around.
Here's a quick list of things that'd revive the community so p2w feel validating in p2w'ing again:
- reskin/make an LD map
- LD lobby
- Login reward
- Increase rad drops
- Make shadowplay worthwhile to farm
- Give vanguards a reason to play snarby/jelly again.
- TF2 Hat for cheevo
- Bombhead guaranteed for bribes weekends
- Free UV tickets/costume if you reach top 10 in LD ranking.

This is not correct. Chess minis are not available in the Guild Hall Prize Box. They are only available in the Chess Mini Box which is purchased at the Supply Depot for energy. Full release notes including the other changes/additions to guild halls and other fixes can be seen here:

No. The bond is a ticket that can be deposited into your Guild Hall for the crown value on the ticket.

Thanks for correcting the specifics, although I refer to boxes for energy as pay boxes as well, as that's what they effectively are to most players in order to obtain them. Problem is, making the chess pieces available *only* for energy is worse than my initial assumption...

Advice for those giving suggestions in an update thread: Go to Suggestions. Also remove your tinfoil hats.
And now for my thoughts on the update:
Chess? Sweet. Too bad the prize boxes apparently don't contain a chess minigame. Oh well, we can pretend play chess in the guildhall.
Self-correcting edit: Actually, we can play chess in SK, but you need the full set. Neat. RNG will be a problem though. :(

It's not tinfoil to assume a company does something to sustain profit to stay in business. The analysis above is what I assume they're doing versus what's going on in a macroeconomic aspect that they might not be seeing. Yes, though, that suggestion should be in a suggestion thread, and has, multiple times. I posted it here for visibility so the GMs can do an analysis of what's been said, as it may not be apparent what the underlying issue is to them. This update is alright, but issue I bring up may be higher priority.

Just mentioning, I went into my guild hall (Solo Art) to see if I can find and check out the divine theme but it isn't listed among the themes. I found the new rain environments without a problem but divine seems to be missing.

Real quick here I'll assume "defence" for the decision taken of introducing a box charged in CE simply stating the fact that as of right now, rare items are featured on Auction House that will ensure a craving for crown in due time. Let's remind ourselves too that these auctions have been extremely frequent (and beneficial) and always act as a great counter measure against possible price gauging. As far as CE, CR and events go, the recent Slime event was a massive crown sink; no harm balancing things a bit with what honestly is a very mild CE sink.
Perhaps not sinking CE on useless rarities like some people do (to resell on Auction House for profit) would be a more efficient way of keeping prices down, I don't know, bind rarities bought from Supply Depot perhaps?

Endless costume promos, people complain.
Infrequent promos of various types with scattered content updates, tweaks, and bugfixes... People complain.
Funny how things can change yet they don't. I like the update, and looking forwards for things to come. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go grapple a gun puppy and attempt to charm it into being my own little love puppy...

Has there been consideration to merge prize box and energy purchases again?
It would mean there would be more energy about and keep energy prices lower, keeping people about a bit more since things will become a lot more affordable for the average f2p player. Plus purchasers get more value for their money.
Why did that change ever come about anyway?

That's assuming the slots actually got people to buy CE with real money to buy cr, rather than become cr poor. Binding rarities so f2p can't buy 1 at a time will also slow progress in addition to the excess walling that's it's been at for the past two years. Most are impatient and buy 1 to compliment the 2 they found in clockworks. Griefing the marketplace by making them bound may not be wise.

So I let curiosity get the best of me and installed the divine theme.
Apparently it's core themed and it's both pretty and reaaaally clashes with most furniture, at least on low graphics.
Operation de-clash guild hall is go.
(also with this theme is the perfect opportunity for core/swarm themed furniture. pls o pls)

The behind the scenes changes to the libraries sound quite promising. The actual guild hall update itself is fine as well, though far less exciting to me with the exception of guild bonds- a much needed and highly appreciated feature. It's unrealistic to expect newer or most older knights for that matter to pay up so that your guild can buy stuff and most newer GMs are unprepared to fund an entire guild hall. You put guild bonds in the slime casino, or on prize wheels at the end of levels, or anywhere really and players can donate and help their guild without bankrupting themselves.

So I just played around with some chess pieces.
When you place a piece down on top of another piece, you will always pick up the piece you would have "taken"' next interaction. This means you can take a piece by putting your piece down on top of it, and then attacking the same spot to pick up the old piece. It works great and I love the forethought for making sure these pieces all work!
Pretty sure it works like a queue. Whatever pieces were there first get picked up first. I tested this out by putting a bunch of things on top of each other. That being said, you can stack seemingly infinite amounts on top of each other, so if you have a snazzy chess game with multiple boards then you can share a "loot" pile.
Additionally I got my gun puppy. Now to just get several more. <3
