The secret OCD inside me hates that "Chess Rooms" aren't centered properly.
They can still be furnished and let spectators enjoy watching the game. I think it's nice. :)

My personal favorite is to use the floor monitors on the spectators spaces so they can watch in style.
Well i'd say do something about mix master price. Just make the promo/update again. Because they are stupidly priced. 85ke+
omg we just have a single bench there
I'll have to uh, subtly change that.
Well that settles it. Fangel will buy EoS 150 dollars worth of guild boxes so they can get floor monitors.
I shall now be accepting floor monitors in exchange for personal compliments. No refunds.
In other news I've been thinking about other things these things can be used for. I was thinking, maybe, some sort of mini battleship-esk game where pawns are hits/misses, and other pieces are used for your ships/enemy ships. Can put them on opposite sides of the guild hall and use zone chat. Would be a fun thing to do.
Other things like checkers and an easter egg hunt would also be doable. Heck, we can even do a "capture the flag" sort of deal! Can we get snowball buckets as furniture? I want to turn the entire guildhall into a snowball warzone so we can play capture the flag without a bucket time limit.
My only "complaint" is that people can be a bit too set on ruining other people's games, and as such a "reset" button for the chess pieces would be nice. Manually placing them back is fine and there are ways to obtain lost chess pieces, but a nice ol' button would automate that process. "Deleting" a chess piece (ie, shield while holding it) could just teleport it back to its home position as well, which still means we have to find them but not walk all the way across the guildhall because some joker thought it would be funny to steal a piece.
So... wouldn't the griefing player just like.. push the reset button?
All these ideas and updates but we still can't take out our unnecessary rubbish materials that noob recruits donate in our treasury...
Depends if there's a "rank requirement" for the reset button. If not then yes, it can still be abused by the same people, but if there is a requirement then it'll at least make there be a bit of order to it.
When you've got like, 30 people in the guild hall all doing their own thing, a small handful of people are bound to cause trouble. While a gate would work that would prevent non-members from playing chess anyways.
To be honest a reset button would be a lot less of a problem to work with than a player taking your rook and running away with it in the middle of the game. It would also allow for quick setups of the board after the game ends.
It was about time the Guild Hall had some new things added, including the upkeep reductions. Even the new chess pieces look amazing!
Cronus, I really hope we get more new missions soon, especially Expansion Missions.
Seriously, though, it's been too long since we've had a brand-new Expansion Mission in the game.
Just a few changes: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/115616#comment-1037717
Guild Hall MOTD length increased to 255 characters
Many thanks <3
So pretty much just more cosmetics that don't do anything, and this update does little to keep people IN guilds since there's not much incentive for vanguards like me to keep playing regularly enough to be in one...
Ariave broke my sarcasm meter today.
