Once upon a long time ago, Nick said this:

"I should also add that the design goal of SK is to be able to play however you like. Any future weapon types will be the same way- you can complete a level with just one of them."

This design has been violated. It's not possible for Shard Bombs to hurt the Roarmulus Twins because the hitboxes for the two can't reach each other.

The options, as I see them:

  • Enlarge the hitboxes for the twins so that shards at the edge can hit them.
  • Extend the play area by an extra tile each way so you can reach further into the twins.
  • Increase radius of shards.

I'm not a fan of the last one, because it would probably end up with only being possible to hit the Roarmies with just the core. Ideally I'd want to be able to triple shard them so that it wouldn't just be a possible fight, but also a fun one.

I would like to reach further

I would like to reach further into the twins, yes. But extending play area is a no go. I think it would clip with some animations that way.

I choose 1st. Enlarge their hitboxes when they are "downed". Those are to tight anyways. Even swords can barely reach em.

+1 to the first option. Triplescrew is right, their hitbox feels too small compared to their model.

IDK sounds pretty greedy what with them having a buff and all.

The Twins Tweaks bundle

They could fix that freeze at the beginning of the boss fight and release it as small update focusing on fixing the Roarmulus Twins fight.

Now I think about that area as whole, it's funny how many tricks can be done there.
