im sure many of you are as well. no one wants to see it go the way of the Dodo... i just dont want to wake up one day and see one of my most favorited games suddenly shut down because people left. i am in fear it might happen.
im worried about this game
Best hope for this game is to be sold to a company that is interested on rising it back from the ground.
Also restore the game to its state of former glory, but keeping the new mechanics. Mist energy, no rank requirement for the equipment, no forge.
Oh, and change the way missions work, make the players have to go to the arcade directly.
I dont think the game will be saved by another company.We saw that with Sega too.If a company wants to buy the game,it will be for making money and in that occasion they will drain the game.Only a small team who wants the game keep going for the nostalgia will be intersted in this game,but on the other hand they would not have the money to improve the game significally.My estimation is that the game will keep going,but with no big updates..
OK. I don't know how many times some people keep bringing this up, but, I have this to say...
GIVE. IT. A. REST.
Seriously. We do adventures in the Clockworks, but, don't some of you have something else to do besides keep repeating the same old questions over and over again?
We know Sega had to disband OOO because, you know, they had to do the layoffs, so there's no need for GH to go through the same all over again.
GH's already fine as they are, being indie. Let them keep the game thriving. Read their post, "State of Haven".
He has all the rights to ask everything he wants,no one forced you to reply about it,if you are tired dont reply,simply.Your reaction is more irritating than questions I see again and again in forums,cause those I can skip em,but when someone is aggresive and not generally but targets another member of forum,then its irritating and makes the forums a bad place to be..So please avoid the caps..You can always skip a topic or a comment if it annoys you or you can say your oppinion in a more suitable manner.
Honestly, I appreciate a post like this every now and then. If GH is actually reading the forums (Which doesn't seem likely at this point) then questions and posts like these send the message that THIS is how parts of the community feel about this game. If people stop posting about this then GH is safe to assume that everything is more or less fine. Problems don't get fixed unless someone acknowledges that they're there in the first place.
@Bernston
You do realize the "State of Haven" post is 2 YEARS old and other than repeated event updates and loot boxes no one has heard Anything from GH themselves. Heck, the patch notes page on the wiki doesn't even get updated when the game patches.
If you ask me it's perfectly understandable for people to be concerned about this game and it's possible future.
@Qever
I'm sorry. I know that, because it did annoy me a lot. Well, what should I do, then, besides continue on with our adventures like normal? Discuss something else? I could talk about something else on the Gremlin Chatter section(though, people rarely talk there. Don't know why.), like how certain favorite robot voice effects could, and perhaps can, be replicated on audio editing programs that are non-subscribed(sure wish to know how they did it to some TV shows & games, like how it was from Hydorah/Super Hydorah's line, "Warning! Danger Zone!" or, moreover, the computer voice from Parma in Garfield's "Blasteroid". Really liked that voice effect. That really captured the robotic feeling well), but, yes, I'll post the discussion that there later. Still, you have a point. Didn't mean to emphasize some words.
@Kryophyre
Yes. I do. Lack of some word from GH can once more stir concern about the game. I really thought they had made good progress on their matters behind the scenes now, which I know, 'cause, they've been very silent about that now.
"You do realize the "State of Haven" post is 2 YEARS old and other than repeated event updates and loot boxes no one has heard Anything from GH themselves."
For the readers, the "State of Haven" post was made 2016-09-30 (1 year 4.5 months ago from this post). Chronus answered questions in that thread for a good 3 months. Their silence is as worst, a 1 year metric (if you ignore the maintenance announcement threads). Citation.
Starlit cradle, no AT weekends, new LD maps, and the style kit have been added since that "state of haven" post. It's not much, but it is also clearly not "nothing".
Took 30 seconds to get that info with a google search.
I dont wanna be ungratefull to the gms or aggressive on you but lets face it,we have no serious update for years now..
The starlit was something,a spark that didnt lit the fire cause they didnt continue further.
The Ld AT and the stages were insignificant cause 1st only a few people play PvP(eu is almost always empty)2nd those updates were not something that would revive the pvp.They have the same krogmo awards all the years..zero motivation..why someone will be motivated to play LD when he gets his recipe and enamorocks?Not to mention that now the ld is only for tier 3 and beginners get pwned by ld core players who play years or so...
I feel those updates if i can call them updates,it was like a painkiller.I ll not whine or get angry about the lack of updates but we cant twist the obvious..
I wouldnt reply cause we discussed on million threads that issue but i cant stand arguments like its not 2 years its 1.They cut off communication and its a long time.If you wanna play with words like they did something and they cut off for 1 year not 2 then be my guest the result is the same,
I wouldnt worry cause we experienced for a long time the same fairy tale and pretty much we know what is happening now we just enjoy the game waiting for nothing serious.I stopped getting angry but i ll not eat the golden pill..
It'll be fine. There's still a decent playerbase right now that warrants keeping servers up. The first priority for Grey Havens is just to keep servers up after all. So I believe that Spiral Knights will be alive for quite a bit longer.
