Well this gonna be long go grab a snack.

Actually i dont really know where to start cause it is confusing. but lets start by this update : https://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/122043.
On 15/5 GH outta no where decided to remove steam trade HNNNNNNNNNG weird i dont actually know why? OR MAYBE BECAUSE SK ON STEAM IS BROKEN? MAYBE JUST MAYBE?
ye so it actually stops people from buying or selling anything as it is said on their thread, And that which lead to the following.

As people might know or some sellers/buyers who might recognize me i have bought too many keys for ce/cr and i've also sold too many keys for ce/cr
and i never had any problem with how the trade goes like, i was a flexible trader i guess (ONLY FOR KEYS THO) but i actually didnt have a problem with it since i have already bought all the keys i actually needed. But what happens next is i just try to follow the rules somehow, just a usual SK trading, but what happens now is actually the problem tho,, ON 17/6 i had a mail sent to me which included about 450-500ke (was in ce/cr so idk actual total) so something around that ye, i log on to see how good it looked and log off again nothing interesting BUT NOW IT HAPPENS gh out of nowhere for no reason at all confiscates the ce :))))))))))))))))) just like that they removed 450-500ke off me just because they say "Never trade something for a promise of something in the future, Trades should happen in the same trade window" WELL WELLL WELLLWWL ELWELLL WELL i actually never promised anyone of anything, i was not reported (i didnt play for a week that could someone report me/neither none knew anything about it) and my chat logs were all clear actually my and my trader didnt talk about anything in particular in SK was just a following mail chat as "we dont get on at the same time zone bla bla bla just send it" And i already did this found the same mounts of ce/cr so it wasnt actually the first time me doing this.
i sent the support an email and just said this

I'm sorry if our login message to you wasn't clear. The funds that were given to you were obtained in a way that violates our Terms of Service. Thus they were confiscated. We will not be returning these funds nor will we be able to give you more details about another player for privacy reasons.

Because you did not trade them within a single trade, we couldn't determine that the funds were given to you in exchange for something else to reverse the trade. We do not support trades where you do not place the items within the same window. When you trade at different times like this, you assume the risk. With that being said, the amount you were given is far more than the items were worth. This indicates to us that there was something else you gave in exchange for the funds. Please provide details on exactly what that was. We can look into the possibility of returning your items if the other player still has them, but we cannot make any guarantees.

so they decided to remove 450-500ke out of my inv without any evidence of me violating of tos, while i did the same thing with the same person for months now and they just do this, without any evidence of anything, nor chat logs or anything that shows that i violated the tos lol.
So im assuming that GH just confiscated my ce because of my history of keys selling which is so freaking dumb.. GH is just causing more harm than good tbh. 450k-500ke isnt something that easy to get and yea lol i lost 450k-500ke for fun :))) gh wanted to play around.

and if you're wondering WHY DID I WAIT TOO LONG TO TALK ABOUT IT. well i didnt have enough time to think about stuff since iwas going into some fatal health issues which had lead to me doing surgeries, and there's a very big bang % that i will have to do more in the future, im actually recuperating these days and ye this is the time where i thought id say something.

GIMME BACK MY CE 450K-500KE I NEED THEM. I NEED TO PLAY AGAIN LEMME SEE F's IN THE CHAT PLEASE I ACTUALLY NEED F's AND SOME PRAYERS WOULD WORK thanks for reading for this far if u did ure a true gamer.

I agree that it is strange to your have trade assets confiscated, if no one has filed a complaint about the trade. But how exactly do you know that no one complained about the trade?

Perhaps Grey Havens is simply enforcing the no-trades-for-real-money policy (Terms of Service 7.8), which it suspects you to have violated.

By the way, I am not arguing against you. I'm just trying to understand why this would happen.

In the message that you posted above, Grey Havens explicitly asks you what the missing value was, that made the trade equitable. It cannot prove that the missing value was real money, but isn't that the most probable explanation, from Grey Havens' point of view?

I personally think the following:

I do not recommend doing exchanges of keys now with other people, since now you can not use a window of exchange between the two people, and that it remains as a proof, since sk removed steam trade.

This is not the same case, but I made an exchange with someone I did not know well that long time ago, and he gave me the energy in the game and I gave him the keys for steam, and then the GMs took away the energy, telling me that this energy was illicit or that it was obtained in a fraudulent way, and in the end I lost my energy and lost my keys, and did not recover anything, so try to be very careful with that.

another problem is that if the account of the buyer or seller was hacked, it would be a big problem, since that person would take advantage of their friends, you never know, since sometimes I have seen that this has happened with some people in this game.

I am not talking against you, I hope you get better, I only say my opinion about some things that have happened to me and that I have seen that have happened in this game, so that people be careful, in the end it depends on each one.

All i need is a legit reason or evidence of which they could proof that i violated the terms of serves. You might have talked to the buyer of your keys about the trade on SK but i didnt do such thing, it was just something out of blue.

Usually these things shouldn't be posted about on the forums and are better discussed directly with the sources, only thing I can see is

My gut would say the cr/e you received were obtained through a scam or fraud method, or some other illegal way from the one providing them to you. So the GMs basically followed the tracks of it to correct it in game. Then followed to ask whatever you were trading the cr/e for, if it was in-game SK items they'd try to retrieve them for you if you provided details.

two other worrisome scenarios

I still think Sewyy's problem is that s/he has been making savvy Steam trades for a long time, and suddenly is making trades that appear to involve real money moving through some back channel. But this interpretation raises other questions for me.

A. Suppose that I'm playing with my brother, and I give him 100 energy so that he can buy the Orbs he needs. I get nothing in return, other than brotherly love. Would this trade activate Grey Havens' anti-real-money alarms?

B. Suppose that I'm leading a Shadow Lair party, and I ask each party member to give me 450 energy for their share of the key. This kind of trade violates the new trading policy, and it has always been dangerous, although I've never had a problem with it. So what is the right way to finance a Shadow Lair party?

well shouldnt the one who gave me the ce get banned? :P why would they bother removing the funds which were given to me if he did such thing as a scam, plus if something happened like that everybody would have knows, SK has a smol community mostly everybody knows each other so if someone just got scammed by 450k-500ke alot of people would know about that. And a person cant just scam that much in a couple days would take too long to scam that much.
plus ill say this again, i've been doing this kind of trades for too long throughout mails with the same guy for months nobody did anything, just couple weeks after they banned the steam/sk trades they did the "Confiscation" and it is still dumb to confiscate that mount of ce without solid evidence im repeating myself here tbh.
all im asking for SOLID EVIDENCE OF ME DOING SOMETHING AGAINST TOS. cause as i heard that someone sold ce to some guy and they got busted through chat logs, they got 1 week ban each lol. no ce was confiscated nor people getting permanently banned. which makes this so dumb.

I don't think the general discussion area of the SK forums is the right place to discuss this, and calling out others like that can go against ToS naming and shaming. I don't feel you'll get any further information from the GMs with posts like this, you'll just get random players opinions on the matter. You can always try discussing further with the GMs what happen. They did ask you for further details on the trade in an effort to possibly help.

@lego well i did send them more information never got any reply from them and more over the guy got banned all along with the stuff he had or as he told me cause i lost his track i dont know who is he on SK anymore nor steam and as it says in gh's mail that they wont give any information about him, and i wanna see if someone also had this incident too plus i didnt shame anybody i just pointed that people who do steam/sk trades or rmd -real money trading- they actually got for a reason. not just anything out of blue.
@afoursome u lack some braincells actually try to re-read the thing again i pointed that i stopped doing steam/sk trades they just confiscated the ce without any proof just relying on my steam/sk trades.
@promos-are-content well id expect something like this from someone like urself.

again it was just dumb for them to do such thing you guys go on about that im crying, well its 450-500ke so ye id cry a bit, its funny to see people who defend GH while its obvious that they did a dumb thing.

for some reason Grey Haven will have done that, sometimes they take time to respond, just be patient, but if here there is something wrong, then what they did is fine, regards.
