Submitted!!!

Thank you, Clotho, for increasing the upload size! Now the judges can view our art in all their shining glory! I happily just submitted mine, and I'm so excited to see what wonderful things other knights are going to make! Thank you!!!

I understand not wanting to

I understand not wanting to disqualify genAI submissions since the point is the story itself, and not the actual visuals/art, but I do think it would be a bit of a bad look if one of them wins. Like they didn't care enough to even draw stick figures, and going "wow look at this cool concept(s) our community made!" with soulless slop feels sad to me.

Yeah it's a question of if they did AI for the art, there's a good chance they had AI write up the story too just for a chance at the rewards. I'm in it for the love of the game and the rewards are a nice addition/incentive for participants

Slide Limit

I hate to re-hash what has already been discussed, but - would going over 10 panels lead to a straight disqualification, or can it still be considered for the competition? There are a lot of submissions that look to go above the limit.
Also, I've seen a storyboard with more panels uploaded as a quick GIF, could that be a fair compromise to make it easier to judge?

My good friend has illustrated so many beautiful panels and I don't want their work to be in vain, and it would be a shame to not include them. I'm really trying to select the 10 most crucial slides but I think the charm and vision of the storyboard gets greatly worsened with each panel removed :(

RE: Slide Limit

I agree, I don't think much has been said about this: Is 10 panels a hard limit or just a time constraint? In my case my submission has 2 extra panels for the "post-trailer scene", so it's not really integral and was added at the last minute, but there are obviously massive submissions being made. For a 1:00-1:30 minute trailer, I personally (and probably many others, by the looks of it) think 10 is a bit too little.

"Short and sweet" is understandable, but in this case you are looking at 6-9 seconds per shot, which is a slideshow pace, and narrative trailers tend to have a lot of in-between shots. It's not easy to convey 2 panels in 1 without it becoming incredibly dense and hard to unpack.
