How long should it take? It's already been about 18 hours.
Won't you please, please help me?
I see the wiki says there are issues with uploading new photos but it doesn't say how to fix that. How do I get my new photo to upload correctly?
There's nothing wrong with uploading photos you just need to wait for it to update to the new picture.
When i try to log in and edit my guild page the page just refreshes. This happens with the main page too. Please help.
nvm. Found the solution. I click the login button repeatedly
.
Wikieditor asks, "how can i make guild logos existing pictures without uploading a duplicate of it?"
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/File:GuildLogo-Black_Magic_Masters.png
I found this inquiry interesting, as I link quite a few icon files for use on our Guild page. I figure it's not a major issue as anyone doing data cleansing for images will no doubt read the note, but is there any alternative? I couldn't break down the template functions unless using the template source, and that would make Wikieditor's Guild code more trouble than it's worth.
Of course, it took me a full five minutes to work out how anybody could change their Guild logo at all, so I could be missing a solution quite simple.
The answer is no.
All guild logos must start with File:GuildLogo for the template to work.
Ah, thank you. I figured there was only one way for it to work with the Guild Template.
IMO Very few people are reading wiki, based on all pointless topics on forum, propably because they dont know that wiki exists.
Solution: Have spiral knights wikipedia be advetised like once every two months with ingame email sent to all users.
When you open up SK, the news popup sometimes advertises the wiki.

Static Wares
1* Circuit Breaker Helm 3,000
1* Circuit Breaker Armor 3,000
Randomly Available Wares
1* Circuit Breaker Helm 7,500
3* Surge Breaker Helm 35,000
1* Circuit Breaker Armor 7,500
3* Surge Breaker Armor 35,000
I'm sure, 2* Volt Breaker Helm and 2* Volt Breaker Armor should be in the list of "Randomly Available Wares" instead 1*.
Like other "breakers" items.

PLZ HELP!
i tried 2 upload an image for my guild page, which worked. Then, i saw that there wasnt a link to my guild page, so i kept re-uploading to see if that worked. that didnt work either. When i went back to the guild page, I saw that there was a logo, which was a question mark. i clicked on it, then saw that equinox (the Game Master) had uploaded this to the website, and unless I'm mistaken, put this logo on my guild page.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?!
How do you make a guild wiki? Is it your own customized website? Thanks :)

im trying to make a guild page help please
Are you able to edit the wiki at all? I'm assuming that the name of your guild is "Gangster Ponies". Change this to your actual guild name in the instructions below.
A. Search the Spiral Knights wiki for "Gangster Ponies (Guild)". The wiki will respond that that page does not exist. It will give you an option to create/edit the page. Do so.
B. In the editing box that comes up, enter this code, changing the names as appropriate.
{{GuildInfo
| name = Gangster Ponies
| motto = Our motto is great.
| founder = Pony-Guy
| masters = Pony-Guy, Gangster-Guy
| officers =
| pop = 53
}}
C. Make any other edits to the page that you like. For example, below the GuildInfo template, you might add some text explaining the point of your guild, if any.
D. Save the page. The GuildInfo template will cause your guild to be listed on the list of guilds automatically, although it might take a day or two (?).
If steam accounts were able to be log-in the wiki, I would really not-so-full heartily/dedicate to give time for some few pages.. Please, try to fix that as soon as possible!

How do i Show or hide galleries? Please help me. (I mean how to to this with wiki editing btw) NOTE: I'm trying to use this template. {{showhide|Gallery|content=
Give us an example of a wiki page that uses such galleries effectively. (Then I will ask you to mimic that page's code. But I'm willing to help.)
What do you mean by effectively?
this is a page that uses it though
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Intense_Flame_(Guild)
Well, I've never used these galleries in wiki code before now, but it seem to me from your example that you paste this text into your wiki page:
{{showhide|Gallery|content=
<gallery>
</gallery>
}}
And then, between the two gallery tags, you list whatever image files you want to display, one per line, without any kind of bracket; for example
File:IFguild.png
File:IF12.png
In your example page, the first image listed does not display, presumably because the editor incorrectly enclosed it in brackets.
This seemed the best place to post for help on the wiki.
So, I just created a guild and am trying to add a guild page to the wiki.
Of course, you have to be logged in to do this.
I attempted to log in, when I did so, I was directed to a page that let me sign in through my steam account, which I entered the information for. It then redirected me back to the wiki, where in the top right, the "Log In" icon was still visible. Upon clicking this experimentally, it did nothing but reload the page. Thinking it might be laggy or glitchy, I tried to create the page for my guild, to no avail. It did not have me logged in, and each time I clicked the link that said "log in or create account" on the page that told me I needed to be in a validated group, it would send me to a page with a 301 error (too many redirects) I even tried a different internet connection, to no avail either.
This is quite vexing, I need to be able to log in and make my guild page.
Thank you.

http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Steam_FAQ#How_do_I_log_in_to_the_wiki_with...
From the wiki:
How do I log in to the wiki with my Steam account?
Currently you cannot log in to the wiki through a Steam account. As a temporary workaround, Steam users must create a separate web account through the Spiral Knights website in order to log in to the wiki and edit it.
I talked to some people and learned that, however, now I cannot do that, as nothing happens everytime I hit the 'log in' icon. So I cannot log in. :c Or log out. I did as said and used an account from the site to try to log in, but it will not let me reach the log in screen.
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to remove the current guild logo. We are having a contest for the best logo and one of the members mistakenly made his entry THE logo. And it's ginormous, too! I just wanted it to remain blank for now until we choose a winner. Should I just upload a new file/logo that's blank? ...And how do I do that? I can't even figure out how to replace it except for the "upload a new version" link, which is apparently having issues. Am I out of luck?

http://wiki.spiralknights.com/File:GuildLogo-The_Lazy_Gunner.png
I'm currently unable to edit or change anything on my guild's wiki page:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/League_of_Gunners(Guild)
I'm already logged on in the Wiki and on the forums, and I'm able to see my preferences, user talk. I'm also able to edit other pages except the guild page that I created, and everytime I am on my guild page it is asking me in the top right corner to login. Each time I go to the login button the page just simply refreshes and nothing changes. Could anyone please help me with this? Thanks.
Toxxikk: You may benefit from reading Help:Creating_a_guild_page. You can try uploading a new image, but due to the image-updating bug on the wiki, it might take several days to update. What I propose is: Leave that image there until you decide on your official guild logo. But edit your wiki page, using the "logosize" option described on the page I just linked, to make the image appear smaller on the page.
Comrade-Conrad: Probably you are just viewing an old version of your guild wiki page, that your web browser has cached. Make sure that you are logged in, then go to the page, then reload the page. Let us know if this doesn't fix it.
I don't get the edit button, and the thing that shows my toolbar for when I'm logged in doesn't show unless I'm on certain pages.
Fdliyerz, you haven't given us much detail. But here are some ideas:
To edit the wiki, you must have a Spiral Knights account through www.spiralknights.com, not Steam. Log into the wiki with this account. Then you should see the edit tab.
Some interaction between the wiki software and your web browser results in you looking at old copies of wiki pages often. If a page is not looking as you'd expect --- for example, it's not showing that you're logged in, but you're sure that you are logged in --- then reload the page in your browser.
OK, so the Edit tab appears on certain pages, such as the Snarbolax Coat main page and all discussion pages so far, with the top bar that links you to your userpage and so on. However, I did try what you said about reloading, and that hasn't helped. The main problem I'd like to fix (if you'd like to take care of it instead) is on the Waste Module and Material pages, there is a spelling error where the description for the Waste Module says "receptable" instead of "receptacle."
I checked the game description for the Waste Module, and it should in fact say "receptacle," so I'd like to fix that.
Thanks,
Alternate Non-Steam account of Dfliyerz, Fdliyerz (I know, clever. :3)
I agree that those two pages have that error. I'm able to edit those pages, like any regular wiki page. If reloading doesn't work, then I don't know what to do. Maybe try again tomorrow? Maybe someone more knowledgeable will come along to help you. Sorry.
Game Masters and Devs have overruling authority on some pages, such as the Game Master Page itself.
This may not be the question with the pages you wish to edit, but it could be the answer to some of your problems.
~Shadow.
The 'Trojan' page is listed in the 'Obsolete' category.
Just pointing something out, so maybe fix that ?
The obsolete tag is on the "Golden Trojan" section, which seems right to me.
Then shouldn't the other monster pages with entries for the removed 'Golden' versions also be listed in the 'Obsolete' category?
I suspect that tagging a page (or section of a page) with the obsolete template automatically adds the page to the Obsolete category. Yes, I'd say that any monster no longer in the game should be tagged with this tag. And then the page will show up in the Obsolete category. Feel free to add these tags.
Having a problem, I made a guild page ( http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Ouroboros_Templeto_%28Guild%29) and edited it a couple times. But is show to me only when I'm logged in. When Im log off i can only see the Guild Info block. I need some help!!
Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience ;)
I can see your page, with lots of text outside the Guild Info box. Maybe log out, and then tell your web browser to reload the page? The wiki has some odd caching issues.
How do I create a guild page? ;_;
Like you would any other page(though I'm not sure how to do that either :P) but if you search for it and it doesn't exist the search page will have a red link saying "create this page" where you can create/start editing it. Just remember to follow naming convention like "GuildNameHere (Guild)".
Look at post #136 above (and many posts above that). There is a link to a how-to article specifically on creating a guild wiki page. The article is pretty thorough, but ask questions here if you have them.
Just be patient
