Hey guys, i was just wondering which one i should get, Cold iron carver or ascended calibur? Cold iron carver does the same damage as ascended calibur and does even more damage on undead. So wouldn't that make cold iron carver better than ascended? If not please tell me why

well ask yourself if you want a toothpick or a cool dark blade with chains and ghosts spinning around it. And seriously. If it takes the same amount of swipes to kill something, i'd get the one with bonuses :)

Seriously, Ascended Calibur
Seriously, Ascended Calibur does not look like a toothpick and since when did CIC have ghosts spinning around it? I also find that dot at the tip of the sword weird. And anyways, looking nicer does not necessarily mean it is better.
Yes, on something as weak (in defense) as a Devilite, it takes the same amount of swipes to kill it, but if you use CIC on a Lumber which can take a lot of hits before dying, you will notice that it kills Lumbers slower than Ascended Calibur.
Plus, the knockback on Ascended is far greater than that of a CIC, so it makes a better sword in tight situations.

I have used both weapons and
I have used both weapons and I much prefer the Cold Iron Carver. They are both practically the same, apart from the fact that the Ascended calibur reaches a higher damage earlier on. They both max out at level 10 when upgraded to 5*. The CIV has the advantage because you have an added bonus against undeads that the Leviathan can't provide.
If you're interested in buying a CIC, I'm currently selling one that has a UV of CTR: High.

I would rather use the toothpick of slaying than a cool sword of ineffectualness. That said, it would be nice to visually distinguish the lower members of the Calibur line from each other.

Only thing though...
Leviathan has the highest normal damage in the game. The sad part is that a combuster or glacius will still out damage the CIV with medium undead uv (guildmate tested this). They need to beef up the civ's undead damage... and Dark this thread is nearly a month old.. thx.
First of all, Cold Iron Carver does not do the same damage as Ascended Calibur although the stat bars of them look the same. Someone tested these two weapon and CIC does 15% less damage on the every monster (apart from Undead) than Ascended Calibur and deals 5% more damage than Ascended Calibur to the Undead. Plus, they said the knockback on CIC is far smaller than Ascended Calibur so you are more likely to be hurt by a Lumber's long arm smash.
