No Ranzo, there is not recompensation for buying the wrong recipe, since the game doens't know you don't want that recipe it won't do a thing.
(Probably re-selling it might help, but because you learned the recipe, this won't happen.)
Don't mess with the GM's, don't mess with the Game Developers, if they were able to help you then a lot of people will be also asking for help.
Is not their mistake for making wonderful sets of armors and helmets (I have the Divine Set).
Learn from this, and like some people said... just get the divine set.
(I'm not trying to be mean, sarcastic or just bad, I'm just trying to answer your question and giving you a solution.)

Use mist/CE, take time, be patience. Of just buy CE, trade it for crowns [bad idea]™.

This thread is hilarious, definitely a 12 out of 10 for the OP. Very VERY well executed thread.
Onto the more pressing issue. Many people have stated that recipes have similar names, and I could take your word for it that you're dyslexic AND you were tired after work, yes that could definitely happen. What simply DOESN'T happen is that you didn't realize that recipes are also COLOR CODED, so you can tell what type of recipe you're holding by looking at it.
Dyslexic? Sure could happen. Colorblind? Yep that could happen too. Stupid? Happens way more often than people realize. But Stupid, Dyslexic, and Colorblind? If this is the case, then you have more problems on a very basic level in life than just a mere Auction House mishap in Spiral Knights.
