Hi,

I am looking for a piercing blade, and looking at the wiki, there seem to be 4. But what are the difference ? Looking at the stat, 2 seems to have some proc, but are probably less powerful, is that it ?
Then there are Grand Flourish and Barbarous Thorn Blade. What is the difference between those 2 ?

As I don't really like random and I heard a lot of good of Grand Flourish, I will probably take this one, but I want to be sure before ;)

Basically, the difference between the two is the charge :) and neither is 'better' so go with the Grand Flourish if you wish.

There's a number of discussions on Flourishes, this topic has a lot of good details:

I cannot recommend Rigadoon or Flamberge. The rate is around 1 in 15 to inflict a status which is rare enough to not make a noticeable difference. And the tradeoff for the status is lower damage. The other two flourishes are simply the best in the game for taking out beasts and fiends.

Barb Thorn Blade vs Final Flourish depends on what you want from a charge attack, they are otherwise identical. BTB does more damage to large, slow enemies at point blank range... specifically Trojans. Also it goes through barriers in FSC, which is a nice trick. The BTB steps back when the charge is released and the projectile's range isn't as far as would be useful. You really have to get right on top of the target to do a lot of damage.

Final Flourish does massive damage to 1-2 targets or any size making it particularly ideal for Alpha Wolvers, Silkwings or Menders. The charge attack lunges far forward, pushing the target along which separates them from the pack for further isolated damage.
