So I got Steam Bucks as and used $50USD to buy CE because of the Rose Promo. Having spent this money I would like to be able to participate in Testing Servers. i have been playing since about a month after public-non-steam launch and PvP has been greatly anticipated by my friends and I. And after spending 5 times more than the required 10USD; I would like a way to either change my current account from a Steam account to a regular SK account, or be able to participate in the testing with my Steam account. I have been a large donator to Spiral Knights singer I started. OOO please find a solution to this.
Thank You
Dear OOO, I'm mad.
I had this problem too. I made another account (non-Steam), bought $10 there, then traded over the CE and rose item. It does require spending a bit more, but at least you can access the Test server. And nothing went to waste anyway.
I hope they work on a solution harder than they worked on MacBook's freezing in PvP. I still have never played a full game of blast network, and i am one of the select players who are completely unable to make krogmo weapons/buy recipes. Bunch of crap really.
Dude, just because they haven't found a solution yet doesn't mean they aren't working hard, it means they haven't been able to find a solution.
Why would you want to play a buggy system that will have no consequence in the actual game? Trust me, previewing is more work than it is fun.
Funny, I found preview was more fun than work. That opinion above doesn't sound so relevant to me, you might want to get an access to test server.
@Dirt: Why do people play the pre-release of Minecraft 1.8 when people know it'll crash a lot?
$10 for unlimited energy and access to stuff before everyone else sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.
Makes me wonder how they're going to stop this test server from turning into the old WoW test server.
I'm speaking strictly as a pre-release Previewer. I don't care for PvP, especially direct combat, so I will not be participating in the Preview or maybe even Lockdown when it is released. If they find a way for Steam-converted players to play then maybe I will once, but I doubt it.
@coldreactive
Because Minecraft crashes a lot whenever a new patch comes out, anyway. Duh.
As is already stated in the Testing Feedback forum guide: "We are actively working on a solution for this issue and will update you when we have more information."
It's not OOO's plan to leave Steam users high and dry. Give them a moment to work with Valve and see what happens.
