Two of my three luckiest crafts so far are a Wolver coat with max freeze resistance, and a Wolver cap with max shock resistance. My original plan was to make them into a well rounded Vog set that partially protects against three of the most deadly status (IMO). I was also thinking that if luck would have it, and I end up with a max fire UV, I would make it into a Skolver. But I am wondering if it makes sense for "well-rounded" sets: There are no ice-based enemies in FSC, and if an ice based boss make it to the game, I wouldn't expect many fire enemies around. On the other hand, I am not sure if status protection is "capped" somehow. For instance, would a Skolver set with max freeze protection offer better freeze protection than a set with high or VHigh?
Would a Vog set with Max Fire protection offer significantly better fire protection against one without UV?
Suggestion on upgrading my Max UV Ash Tail set

Nice crafts! (I'm so jealous.) My suggestions are below, depending on your specific goal. I see two good options for you...
Lots of normal/freeze with good elemental/pierce/shock/fire protection. Perfect for PvP, but can also be used as an all-around set:
Skolver Cap with Max Shock
Vog Coat with Max Freeze
Lots of normal/elemental/fire with good shock/freeze protection. Perfect defenses in FSC, but still enticing for PvP:
Vog Cap with Max Shock
Vog Coat with Max Freeze
A Vog Set does have a great deal of fire protection, but it is still possible through UVs or Trinkets to further increase the protection by just a bit. I'm not sure anyone has specifically tested High vs Max Fire UVs on Vog though:
