Like I told everyone in preview the flood is at the core. Spiral Knights will soon join forces with Bungie which will ultimatley put the flood in the core.

spiral knight exspansion 5x bigger :/
I belive its a mass portal of harvestabel energy that will ultimatly lead to the ruined hoem world of the spiral knights but first towards a pathway of planets
(kind of liek tiers ) 5 tiems bigger then the clock works (we have new towns areas weapons) , as we go threw these new places we meet otehr trapped knights in towns jsut liek are own the will share the cultures (new armour, equipment , new monsters,etc) and we slowly fight towards the last planet The
kingdom(the home and brithplace of the spiral knights) , withthe ruined and enslaved race of home world knights (and other beings such as wenchs, knahs,
spires, king, squires, medival refrences, etc ) and we msut fight to the top of the kindgom to fight the leader of the gremlins (this is also where the lost squad is ) we msut free them and countless otehr planets helled down by the gremlins and their forsaken monsters , and the people who succescfully free
them will be given crowns (and kings crown , a kingly armour set sword , staff that acts as a sheild ) so overall new complete exspansion of spiral knights :/ i sound liek a complete nerd but i ligitmeitly think this is going to be the the core . my user name is roxals and thank you for taking time to read this entire deduction (im sorry for my terriable spelling ,but i hope you will not ptu that against me )

my theory and i will go all out
Within the core is the real planet. The TRUE Cradle.
The Clockworks and its depths made by the 'Architect' serve as the protection from anything foreign.
I will go further.
The true planet carries a massive amount of energy, something that can do something beyond just powering stuff.
It can create worlds.
The Architect has found the core and experimented, over and over, one above the other, hence the various depths we go around in.

With all the hints the game
With all the hints the game gave us, inside the core there is a LOT of tearium, which would power the Skylark. From now on, its my favorite possible future. Once powered, we would need to find our way to Earth (or some other planet, following the spiral-alien popular theory, i still think we are humans on combat suits). For that, we would build several space stations with harvested resources from the Clockworks, and fight against the Gremlin Stellar Empire, which control the orbit of Cradle and the planetary neighborhood. It would be possible to own your own ship, and land on planets around Cradle and explore their own Clockworks, all built by the Gremlins, which had way more industrial power than supposed.
