As usual, I agree with Culture. I'd like to add that in wearing Drake+Skelly you'd be doing the community a favor. Lots of people (including me) wear Divine+Skolver, and variety is nice. I respect people who go for non-standard armor (as long as they end up with something decent).

I'm pretty good at avoiding attacks, so i don't take much status damage. I"ll just stick with what I got :)
Sure, it would work fine. The Drake's fire resist would offset the Skelly line's negative but... but you'll be left with no additional resistance in that department.
