I recently found out that my Cryo Driver line was not on par with the other alchemers, so I was wondering, should I craft a Storm Driver or Nova Driver?
I already found out the damage of both, thanks to the gracious testers in my previous thread. Link is here.

errr Polais is not an Alchemer. Its a deviant upgrade of the Pulsar, but yeah the Polaris is widely viewed as one of the best gun for FSC and constructs. Though there are many that would argue that the AP is the best for FSC, most would agree that the AP is not very good outside of FSC.
The Nova Driver probably hits harder for constructs, but the shot interruption of the Storm Driver and Polaris's shock status can be really helpful for Rocket Puppies.

As I've mentioned in your last thread, I personally prefer the Nova Driver because it not only does the most damage but will also never fail to work, for example, in a Shock-theme stratum. The Shock will never be up to par in terms of damage, but it will slow mobs down considerably.
EDIT: It just occurred to me that the character I use Nova Driver on is a gunner, and we need every little bit of extra damage we can squeeze out. If you want an alchemer as a support weapon, I think you should try out the Voltech line.

on the other hand, i'm aiming for a voltech AND a firotech, so i can alternate them for different strata

Ignore all and get storm driver ;d the shock has saved me so many times from zombie leaps, trojan dashes in fsc. And the shock has a nice aoe effect. get ctr med preferabelly.

I personally love the Storm
I personally love the Storm Driver, It's excellent for Kiting since it interrupts mobs and does damage to all of them when they are grouped up (which happens often in FSC). The biggest issue I have with the Polaris is that it's a terrible support weapon, very very many swordsmen complain that the knockback messes them up and causes them to take extra hits, and that the explosion covers up their screen and such.
For the role of a gunslinger I see it as a person that can give status effects and give out support from a distance, so the Storm Driver feels like the winner in that sense.

You can't put "support" and "damage" on the same gun
Not even when it's called Polaris.
Nova Driver for damage.
Storm Driver for support.
...or Polaris for solo and "turret-only use".
Shock deals way less damage than you think.
Pick one.

Well I suppose the auction house made the decision. I found a double UV Voltech Alchemer MK11 on the auction house, and the UV's were Construct High and Beast Low. Beast means nothing but the construct could be quite good.

Best alchemer is Polaris.
